Chapter 4

Waking up with eye bags on her face was not an ideal way to wake up at all. She looked like she had aged two years in one night.

Examining herself in the mirror she pulled and poked her face in the mirror, she sighed and walked away from the disturbing sight.

Today she woke up late, good thing she had no one to query her, perks of being your boss, but as a boss, she had to set an example for her employees.

She brushed her teeth and took her bath slowly, she was putting on her body lotion when she remembered Alex.

" What a nice mother" she groaned before hurrying up, she stumbled downstairs causing a light pain in her ankle, she curse at her bad luck.

She slowly walked down and stumbled again surprised. Alex was making breakfast, and perfectly like a gentleman.

Awww, she swoon at that sight, she took out her phone and recorded his actions, quickly posting it on Instagram and TikTok, she added the caption while walking to the kitchen.

She places her phone down and went behind Alex to hug him from behind.

" You would make a perfect husband in the future my darling, your wife would be so lucky to have you" she teased him, kissing his head,

Alex couldn't hide his smile,

His mother had only him, he heard her groaning earlier so he had to do something for her.

" Yh" he replied to her, turning his face he kissed her on his cheek.

" Good morning mum, did you sleep well?" He asked turning to face her.

He saw the makeup on her face and her guilty expression and sighed. He turned off the gas and hugged his mother.

" Am sorry for stressing you mum, I know you were thinking about me" he said into her stomach.

" No baby-" she was cut off.

" Am fine, don't bother about me too much, am fine, it's just school and stupid people but it's all good ok? " He held her face and looked into the eyes identical to his.

" Ok" she nodded, Alex smiled and kissed her on her lips,

" I love you, M umm, more than anything in the whole world, I know how much you worry about me but I don't want you to stress yourself, you know t much worrying makes you older," he said seriously, Leslie nodded like an obedient child.

" Am sorry, " she apologized and held her ears

" I would not do it again please forgive me " she begged shaking her head like an Indian.

Alex laughed and playfully said.

" Now sit down and eat your breakfast" Leslie nodded again like a child before happily bouncing to her chair and letting the perfect gentleman serve her.

" Ow your wife would be so lucky she would be so spoiled " she cooed at him

Alex smiled and cheekily said.

" I know, but till I get a wife am going to spoil you, " Leslie cheered at that.

The little family of two had their breakfast before heading out to the garage.

Alex got to school on time as usual but today was different. He walked down the halls with his perfectly straightened uniform and neat curly hair ignoring the staring eyes that followed him everywhere he went.

He had his bag hanging on one shoulder supported by one hand while the other was in his trousers pocket like the cool kids he saw in the television shows he watched with his mother

He minded his business avoiding trouble but trouble had other plans for him.

His path was blocked by three kids out of nowhere.

" Hey loser," one of the kids said, he flicked his head getting his falling blond hair out of his eyes

Alex had on a bored look, he knew these kids, troublemakers and they knew him and of course, hated his guts.

" Sup Jordan," he said looking the blond guy straight in the eye and giving him an icy stare.

The guy returned the stare with his icy blue eyes, they had a stare down for a while gathering audience.

Two handsome guys having a stare-down were about to fight, the girls were eager if not dying to watch.

The blond guy, Daniel stepped closer to Alex who did not move, behind Alex three kids also appeared, Alex's close friends.

Two boys and a girl.

Benjamin, Daniel, and the empress folded their hand across their chest like bodyguards, except the empress who had her hand on her waist.

Jordan smiled at this

" Hey babe," he said and winked at the Empress who rolled her eyes and crossed her arm over her growing chest.

Jordan glared at Alex.

" I see you brought your friends like a loser," he said to prove Alex who yawned, his mother said yawning when someone tries to provoke you can annoy the person to death.

" Scared," he said to Jordan coking his head one side and raising an eyebrow.

" No, but you should be," Jordan said

" Why" Alex responded with a small smile making Jordan redden in anger, at that moment Alex was happy he wasn't light-skinned, Jordan looked like a ripe tomato his mummy uses to make stew.

" Who do you think you are walking here like you own this place" Jordan screamed at his face

Alex cleaned his face with a finger and said with a disgusted face.

" Careful, you almost got spit in my eye "

Jordan saw red, he stepped closer to Alex's face and said in a loud voice.

"You're being too cocky for someone who doesn't have a Father"

Alex's eyes widened

Leslie's pov

Leslie got to her office and got a surprise visitor, Amy, my best friend.

She has been with me through thick and thin ever since I was kicked out of my family when I had Alex in my belly.

She would never forget that day, it was still fresh in her memory.
