Chapter 2

Desmond yawned after waking up feeling happy for no reason, he just knew that that day was going to be a good day for him.

He had an early morning meeting and something inside of him was telling him that it was going to go great.

He stood up from the bed and went to prepare for the meeting. He went into the bathroom after his morning activities which includes exercises to maintain his Adonis shape.

He went downstairs to his dinning room, he stopped and looked around the big house wandering when he would have little kids running around.

Having been raised in a big family he longed for company and noise, he wanted a wife and probably four kids.

He sighed and went into his kitchen to prepare a light breakfast, while having breakfast he got a funny text from his sister and chuckled.

He went through his Instagram and Facebook and liked pictures. He came across a selfie of a mother and son, he stared at the picture especially the woman for a long while before screenshot it.

In his gallery was an album of twenty five picture, only of the mother and son, his social media crush.

He envied her husband, such a woman was hard to find

Hold on.

He tapped her profile and went through all of her pictures but she had no pictures of her husband, he checked again and saw that her status was actually single.

A bright smile appeared on his face, he quickly sent a 'hi' to her inbox and waited.

After a while he did not get a message. With a thought to try later he went to wash his plate and got dressed.

On his way to the office he saw a familiar shop, a small cafe owned by his friend, he decided to stop by to say hi.

He walked and and went straight to the counter where a middle age lady was arranging her muffin.

He snatched one and bit into it earning a hit.

" You rascal, you never change," the woman grumbled giving his laughing figure a side eye before turning to the kitchen.

He hurriedly followed her to the back seeing that she had more at the back.

He ran out after a minute mouth filled with cookies and muffin that muffled his laughter as the middle age lady chased him out with a rag trying to swipe at him.

They where running around until suddenly a light chuckle stopped them in their track.

Desmond turned to the voice only for his heart to stop for a second. The cookie between his teeth fell to the ground as his jaw hung loose.

Standing before him was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, even more beautiful than her picture, she had a pretty smile and a nice grey eyes.

She smiled at them and greeted them but Desmond seems to be having a daydream.

A hit in the arm woke him up, the middle age lady whispered at him

" Keep staring at her like that and you would scare her away" she walked away to get more things.

Desmond snapped out of reverie and went to her, he grabbed an apron and wore it hiding his suit.

" Hi, what can get you I" he said nervously, he frowned and cleared his throat,

" I mean what can I get you" Desmond corrected

Leslie laughed happily at the handsome and funny man, sending the poor man's heart on over drive.

" Well I would like a cup of creamy coffee and some blue berry muffins please" she said but the young man was mesmerized by her smile.

She smiled again causing him to chuckle nervously.

" Umm, one cup of blue berry coffee and creamy muffins coming up" he hurriedly said before shuffling to the back leaving behind chuckling employees and Leslie.

Desmond went to the back closed the door and slapped himself on the head. He just totally embarrassed himself in front of his crush.

" What is wrong with you, you just totally embarrassed yourself in front of that beautiful lady, " the middle aged lady aunt Emily stated shaking her head at him

The other employees in the kitchen nodded giving him the " am sorry for you bro" look.

He sighed and went to make her other, he added extra cream, added extra blue berry muffin and then paid for it, he wrote a note and attached it to the bottom of the cup and gave the other to an employee before going out the back.

He did not want to disgrace himself more than he already did. He quietly drove to his office and arrived five minutes late.

" Hi good morning sir" he grumbled a good morning and passed not minding the bewildered employees.

He went to his office, threw himself on his chair and covered his face.

His door opened

" What's wrong" his best friend asked as he took a seat in front of him.

" I just saw Leslie Jones today" he started sighing again. He lightly hit his head again still feeling embarrassed.

" WHAT,!!" His best friend Lucas shouted in surprise, t

" Oh my God did you try talking to her was she pretty?" He bombarded him with question when hus friend refused to supply any other Intel.

" She is more prettier than I imagined" he sadly, he wouldn't be able to face her ever again.

" Wow, then why is your face like that, it's good news isn't it?" Lucas asked.

" I totally embarrassed myself in front of her,I said the things and Totally looked like a clown" he confessed before resting his head on his table.

They stayed quiet for a while, Lucas not knowing what to say and how to console his friend played with his pen.

A notification sound rang from Desmond phone, he raised his head and checked his phone.

A notification on Instagram

He opened his Instagram suddenly curious and saw that his message was replied.

He jumped up in Glee startling his friend.

" Oh my God she replied back" he said showing his friend the message

" Hi"

They fist bumped and smiled before Desmond proceeded to send another message.
