Chapter 7 Troublesome big baby

Elsewhere, Adriel knew nothing of Liam's complicated thoughts, he downed his fifth bottle of brandy, ignoring the cackling of someone next to him.

"Hey, man. The hell happened to you? Stop drinking, will ya!"

Riza pulled the bottle from Adriel's hand, but Adriel growled and pulled it back sharply.

"Yeah, fine. Drink to your heart's content, don't say I didn't remind you fuck, ok?" Riza laughed dryly.

Adriel's head was dizzy from the effects of the alcohol. He grumbled, "Come on, raise your glass again. Drink this. Drink ..."

Riza shook his head at the drunk's behavior and sighed. He tilted his head. "What's wrong? Why do you look like a broken hearted man? Didn't you just get married?"

As if his mind had come to his senses, Adriel wore a bitter expression.

"So it didn't live up to your expectations, huh?" Riza taunted him seriously. "I remember you said that he was your little savior. Didn't you tell him about your childhood romantic drama?"

As soon as he saw his friend's expression darken, he knew that his guess was correct. Even though Adriel looked strong and scary on the outside, this man was actually just a little bunny when it comes to his crush.

They have known each other since university. Riza Kaiser could be said to be the only human who could last as Adriel's friend for almost a decade. Their friendship started with a lot of silly drama. They had never been this close before until they were sticky like brown sugar and built a business together in their youth. Adriel in the past was not the arrogant and cold man he was today, he was a man who was easy to get along with and had many friends, a man who was able to attract many people because of his warm personality like the sun.

Riza used to hate him because of this, he thought that this guy was just showing off because his popularity attracted a lot of attention. But then he was the one who regretted ever thinking superficially about him. So one day when his personality changed then he became hot-tempered and easily exploded person, no one dared to approach him anymore, apart from Riza. Until he found out that this man lived like a fly trapped in a thorn plant. With the emotional pressure from his family who treated him badly.

Unfortunately, by the time he realized Adriel's predicament, it was too late. His emotional state was deteriorating, and this man was almost a monster who lost his mind when anger took over him. This wasn't a good thing since Riza found out that this wasn't an ordinary psychological effect.

Every time Adriel exploded in anger, it was completely unstoppable, except for when his body was exhausted. Miraculously his anger stabilizes and after that he doesn't remember anything while he was in that episode.

Because this condition was dangerous and several people had almost been killed because of his anger, Riza was especially by his side to watch over him.

At first it was because of the kindness of his heart, over time Riza stayed by Adriel's side to help him recover.

But he wasn't sure if Adriel could recover.

Riza had persuaded him to go to the doctor and have his psychology checked, but Adriel never did. Or maybe he was busy on purpose to avoid going to the hospital. After all, he was a workaholic. He would leave early in the morning and came back late at night which made Riza give up on persuading him.

"So what's your guy's name again?" Riza took the brandy bottle away from Adriel one more time, then Adriel looked at him languidly.

"Liam."

Riza nodded in understanding. "I didn't come to your wedding to give you wedding gifts. Should I invite a few people for a small party?"

A bitter smile once again came to Adriel's lips, in response to Riza's small talk, "He won't like it."

"Then ... what does he like?" Riza watched his expression and found pain on the drunk's face. Riza was a bit surprised.

"Anything ... but me."

Riza, "..."

"He likes spicy food and seafood, but because his mother has a lot of restrictions, he always eats the food the chef makes even though he doesn't like it. He doesn't like scallions and carrots, doesn't like lettuce, but really likes pickled cucumbers. He likes fried onions as a sprinkle of chicken soup." Adriel paused to hiccup, his expression softening before continuing, "He also likes jasmine tea in the afternoon. He will have a bright smile after drinking it."

What was this? What was all this he heard? Didn't Adriel know that man to the bone?

"Whoa, you sure know everything! Do I have to reward you with a gold cup for being a dedicated stalker?" Riza complimented that didn't sound like sincere compliments.

Adriel was dizzy and didn't understand what Riza was saying.

He took advantage of Riza's temporary inadvertence and took the bottle of confiscated brandy. Drink it to the last drop.

"Hey! Stop!" Riza reprimanded him.

Adriel's vision blurred, a headache began to infiltrate his brain. He saw Riza's body split into two, then more and more, all messed up and fuzzy. He shook his head to sharpen his gaze.

He may have succeeded a little. Looking again, he saw in front of him not Riza anymore, but Liam.

His heart throbbed painfully again.

"Why are you here, huh? Do you pity me and want to take me home with some persuasion?" He hiccuped.

Riza caught his body collapsing forward while cursing. Adriel straightened up again in annoyance.

"Don't touch me! I reek of alcohol, you must be disgusted ... don't you love cleanliness, Mr. Clean Freak?"

Adriel had a strange smile on his face.

Riza had a headache.

"But ... because you're disgusted, I want to throw mud at me even more! Come here and see if you can stand it!" He turned to the bar. "One more bottle--"

Riza quickly withdrew his hand. "You're drunk! Shut up you son of a bitčh! I'll take you home."

Feeling hands reaching into his leather jacket, Adriel scowled.

"What're you trying to do? Harass me?!"

"Harass you my ass!" Riza cursed. "Where are your damn car keys!"

This time Adriel let a hand touch him, the hand found something and pulled the key out. A strange smile hung on his face again.

Riza maintained a calm posture even though he wanted so badly to kick that disgusting face, pulling Adriel to his feet slowly, before he was held back again.

"Liam ah Liam, why the rush? Hm? Have you finally fallen in love with me?"

"Yes! Can you stop if I say yes?" Riza's face was so ugly.

Adriel has a big and athletic body. He was used to rigorous training in the gym and he had participated in martial arts training in school. Compared to him who was just a spoiled young master in the past, Adriel's body was the same heavy weight as a buffalo.

As Riza struggled to balance the body in front of him, Adriel's hand touched his cheek.

It wasn't a soft touch, it immediately turned into a grip.

"Liam, don't hate me. Liam! You can't do this to me!"

Riza pulled his face as hard as he could, but failed. He struggled to his feet in the right position, if he took one wrong step they would both fall.

He has no idea what kind of person Liam was. Adriel only ever told him briefly. Because Adriel was not someone who liked to share his love secrets openly, Riza never asked either. When he was drunk, Adriel will talk a lot about Liam.

From Adriel's mouth too, he knew that Liam was the little savior Adriel adored when he was young.

Until they finally got married, Riza still didn't know much; except for Liam's bad temper towards Adriel days before marriage and to this day. Seeing the pain in Adriel's eyes at the mention of Liam's name. Riza was a bit concerned and annoyed at Liam.

Liam was forced to marry as collateral for his parents' debt to Adriel, right? Even if that was what Adriel had planned, could he still be so arrogant and ignorant to the savior of his family's company?

Riza was too busy with his thoughts until he saw Adriel pout his lips to kiss him.

Instinctively, he punched Adriel in the face, not too hard but the man fell to the ground like a stone.

"Fvck! This big baby is really troublesome."
