Chapter 6 An Order

Andrew would never believe what happened next when he said that Emma, the girl he was planning to introduce to Andrew, refused to come. Andrew himself could hardly believe his ears when he heard the news from his private driver. Which girl would dare to reject meeting him? Andrew had never been turned down by any girl in his thirty-two years of life.

"So, she doesn't want to meet me?" Andrew muttered. Tom could only look down without daring to meet his master's gaze.

"I apologize, Young Master. My niece is very stubborn."

"You said her name is?"

"Emma, Young Master."

"If she doesn't want to meet me, then I'll meet her," said Andrew calmly but with an unquestionable tone of command in his voice.

"W-what? But, Young..." Tom was extremely surprised by Andrew's reaction and couldn't say anything more.

"I don't have much time, Tom. Where can we find her?"

And that's how they ended up here. Andrew never imagined that Emma worked in his own company and was still in the same building as his office.

Andrew never felt comfortable in public places and being the center of attention as he was now. He just realized that during his time working at the company, it was the first time he had set foot in this cinema, either to watch a movie or for work purposes. The cinema network was one of the business units that contributed the largest profit to the Jonas Group, but overseeing cinemas was not part of his duties.

Tom pointed to a girl standing behind the concessions cashier counter. A petite girl with shoulder-length wavy hair. A girl with pale skin and rosy cheeks. Andrew gazed at her intensely, and she looked back at him.

"Master, are you sure?" Tom whispered.

"Wait here, Tom. Let me handle it myself," said Andrew as he left Tom and walked towards Emma.

Suddenly, a long-haired and stylishly dressed girl blocked Andrew's path, and his two bodyguards immediately moved to push her away.

"Hey, Andrew. What are you doing here?" the girl greeted him. Andrew signaled his bodyguards to let her approach. "You forgot me? I'm Jenny, Rose's friend. We've met a few times."

Andrew didn't react to any of Jenny's words. Meanwhile, the girl was looking around, seemingly searching for someone. "Where's Rose? Aren't you with her?" she asked.

"No." Andrew shook his head. "Sorry, I have other business to attend to."

"What business?" Jenny pressed, but Andrew ignored her and left her behind. His only focus now was on Emma, the girl who had the audacity to refuse to meet him.

The distance between Andrew and Emma was only a few steps away when Shawn Gilbert emerged from a door along with the cinema manager.

"Andrew, what are you doing here?" Shawn Gilbert looked surprised by his cousin's presence. The cinema manager, who had been watching Andrew all this time, looked nervous. He hadn't been informed about the visit of the CEO to his cinema today.

Andrew just glanced briefly at Shandy without saying a word. He continued walking towards Emma.

"Can I help you?" Emma asked as Andrew stood right in front of her. Emma could see Sally's wide-eyed expression from the corner of her eye.

Andrew didn't respond. Instead, he stared at Emma intensely, like a scientist observing a rare plant species. The gaze made Emma feel uneasy. She started to sense a change in the atmosphere around her. The air seemed to thicken for some reason. The young man in front of her had a certain dominant aura behind his handsome face.

"What's the most delicious drink here?" Andrew finally spoke, his voice deep and commanding.

"A-a-all the drinks here are good." In her heart, Emma cursed herself for suddenly feeling nervous.

"Then, what's your favorite? Coffee or tea?" Andrew asked, still not taking his eyes off Emma.

"Cold chocolate milk," Emma answered.

"I'll have one." Andrew nodded, and Emma agreed, feeling flustered.

"In that case, I'll wait for you in theater three during the first screening tomorrow."

"Sorry, but I'm not interested in watching." Emma was about to be kicked by Sally in the shin. "Aww!!!" Emma screamed and gave Sally a sharp look. Sally responded with a look that said, "Are you crazy? Why are you rejecting Andrew?"

"This is not an invitation," said Andrew. He took the cold chocolate milk and sipped it. "It's an order."

"What?!" Emma looked surprised.

"Yes, Mr. Director. She will definitely come," Sally quickly interrupted before Emily could say anything that could jeopardize her career. Sally promised in her heart that after Andrew left, she would hit Emma on the head to restore her memory, as she might have forgotten that the person inviting her to watch the movie was Andrew Jonas, the CEO of Jonas Group and the young man desired by all the girls in the city.

Andrew nodded slowly. He turned his sharp gaze back to Emily to ensure that she wouldn't refuse this time. Andrew took another sip of his cold chocolate milk, then turned and left.

"Young Master Andrew." Andrew's steps halted as Emma called him. "You haven't paid for your drink."

Sally felt like burying herself upon hearing her friend's words. The cinema manager, who had been watching Andrew all this time, looked very surprised and hurriedly approached Emma.

"What are you doing, Emma? He's the CEO!" The cinema manager scolded Emily.

Andromeda turned around and looked at Emma again.

"I-I'm sorry, Mr. Director. My employee..." The cinema manager's sentence was cut short as Andrew waved his hand, indicating that it was not a problem.

"I didn't bring any money or a debit card. Can you pay for this drink for me?" Andrew asked Emma. "I'll repay you tomorrow when we meet."

Andrew didn't wait for Emma's response. He turned around and left, followed by his two bodyguards and Tom behind him.

Jenny watched the entire scene with increasing curiosity. Meanwhile, Shawn Gilbert was still standing in his original place. He had never seen Andrew act like that towards a girl, especially one he didn't know. Didn't Andrew not know Emma before? What was going on with his cousin?
