Chapter 3 MATE

*Kayden's point of view*

I looked around to see the dead body of Alpha kai, his wife and that bitch, Amelia as I smirked in satisfaction.

I had taken control of myself once again. "Well done Waylen.." I said as he growled happily.

"Feels good to be back.." he said.

"Lycan..we are so glad to see you after a very long time.." my gamma, Gordon, said.

"After you were captured and our clan destroyed, we were gently gathering ourselves back. We all were patiently waiting for the red moon and your call.." he said as he grinned happily like a puppy that had just seen its lost toy.

"I am also glad to see you guys. You guys did really gather yourselves back.." I said as I watched my pack warriors proudly.

"Lycan, what do we do with them.." he asked.

" Kill half and take half captive.." I said.

" And her?" He asked, pointing to a girl lying unconscious on the ground.

" Who is she?" I asked. " The Alpha's second daughter.." he answered as my face darkened. "Take her hostage.." I said coldly.

I spared her because she did nothing wrong to me. Even though I am ruthless, I don't kill people who did nothing to me.

But that doesn't mean I would treat her like a princess, infact, her own torture would be worse.

My pack warriors did as they were told as half of the crescent moon pack were killed and some tied up to be taken hostage.

"Let's go back to the pack Alpha.." Gordon said as I nodded.

"Gather the prisoners, they are coming with us.." I said as I mounted on a horse.

"Yes Lycan.."

*Later In the Paxon pack*

*Olivia's point of view*

I woke up to find myself in a dark smelly room. My eyes were heavy because I had been crying for a long time. I could not see anything in the room, it was so dark and the smell could make you throw up your intestines. I heard a mouse's squeak near me and suddenly became alert.

Even if I was a wolf, I was very scared of mices.

Suddenly, I felt something touch my leg and let out a loud scream. "Ahhh!!! where am I!!! What's this!!!"

Suddenly, the memories of what happened came flooding back to me as tears welled up in my eyes.

I could not just believe it, my mom, dad and sister that I saw yesterday morning are no more in existence. " God!!" I screamed as I cried even more.

The hatred I had for the Lycan king grew stronger. Yes, I know what my father did was horrible, but why would he be so ruthless to the core? Huh? What did my innocent sister do to him? "Yes I know Amelia can be an annoying jerk sometimes, but I still loved her!!" I thought as I cried even more, my head aching from all the cries and yelling.

It was already the next day, which meant that today is my 18th birthday.

"What is going to become of me?" I thought.

Suddenly, I heard a door opening.

"Come out now, time to work.." I heard someone say.

I was suddenly dragged on my clothes by an unknown person. "Ahh..leave me alone.." I said, trying to fight off the person, but it was of no use because he was much more stronger.

"Leave me alone.." I said again, crying.

I was dragged out of the dark room by the person and it turned out I was in a dungeon the whole time!!

Outside, the sun rays hit my eyes and I closed it immediately in pain, Maybe because I was in the dark all night.

My eyes later adjusted to the light after a short time.

"Go join the others and work.." the man who had dragged me said as he pushed me to the ground.

"Ouch.." I whimpered as I fell to the ground with my elbow.

He still didn't care as he pushed me again. I stood up and scanned the area. I could see so many hostages, especially my pack members. Some were washing a huge pile of clothes while some were breaking bricks and other things. I was put in the area where they broke the bricks.

As I approached them to also begin working, they looked at me with pity and as one of my pack members tried to talk to me, he was hit so hard on the back by one of the paxon soldiers.

"Shut up, no side talks.." the soldier said.

*Kayden point of view*

It is so good to be back in my pack, I had missed everything here. If my Luna was here with me, it would have been the best. The memory of her being raped to death by that damned kai Gael flooded my mind. It was really painful to remember. "Don't worry, the moon goddess would give us another second chance mate..'' Waylen consoled. " I don't want another mate.." I said coldly.

"Lycan.." Gordon called, snapping me out of my thoughts. " What is it Gordon.." I asked.

"I was thinking..why don't you go check up on how things are going in the hostage area" He said.

" That is a good idea, let us go.." I said coldly as I started heading there with Gordon trailing behind me.

I arrived at the pack and scanned around. The crescent moon pack members were working like slaves and I was satisfied.

As I made to go back, a strong scent hit me, that same scent that I perceived back in the dungeon hit me again. Waylen growled in excitement. "Don't be too excited, Waylen.." I said to my wolf as I ignored the scent and turned to leave.

Just then, I felt a hot air sweeping over my body. My whole senses were on fire. I didn't feel any pain but just a heightened sense of awareness around me.

My senses were assaulted by the scent, hearing, taste, smell, everything. I breathed deeply, pulling the scent into my lungs and holding it there. It smelt like caramel and chocolate, making my mouth water for more.

Waylen became extremely excited.

"MATE.." he growled.
