Chapter 4 Intriguing

Its been two weeks since I started going to that human school,and I haven't introduced myself to her yet I figured I should give her a break after the last two stunts I pulled on her and each time she just keeps running, so I've decided not to scare her anymore from what I overheard her say to her father, the last time I whispered something and she bolted into her house, I realized she's going through a rough time ,I didn't mean to eaves drop but I couldn't help it but follow her secretly till she reached her door, immediately she stopped screaming I quietly walked to my door not intending on

intruding any further and it doesn't help that my mom saw me that day,I know if I had met her that week mom would have found out and started nagging me to bring her over ,as if I said I'd marry her.

My mom is one of those delulu women who thinks every relationship leads to marriage, and I love her the way she is but I'm pretty sure I've had to remind her not every relationship is like the one she has with dad ,those two are still so hopelessly in love after all this years even despite the risks involved dad still talks to mom atleast ones every week to tell her he's fine and ask how she's doing . I've decided I'm going to talk to my ginger head tomorrow. When I'm done with supper I kiss mom on her cheek and then I go to the woods at the back of the house to run and thats when her scent hits me I wonder what my ginger head is doing around my house or rather around the woods .it's been two weeks and she's grown the courage to walk around the woods at night alone even though she runs from only a whisper ,is she crazy ,I contemplate whether or not I should approach her but I decide against it ,I'll just ignore her and make sure I'm not seen by her ,but after a moment of wondering I find myself just sitting and watching her,she looks so peaceful ,her curly ginger hair tied up,she's reading a book i can't see the title ,but when she drops the book to open her drinking bottle, I see its titled the Bible,so I guess she's a Christian ,she leans on the tree and closes her eyes like she's meditating and she looks so beautiful, after a moment she stands up packs her stuff and starts walking towards her house that's when it hits me , how did she get in here,these woods are exclusively for the house owners it's part of our land,I watch her leave and when she's gone I go back to the house and call my security asking them to explain , rico the leader says " I'm sorry sir our research shows she's been coming here even before we moved in and we did all background checks proving she's harmless and Mrs lorenzo said we should let her, as long as she doesn't disrupt anything" he bows his head after his explanation and I tell them to leave ,so it's my mother who gave her access, I'm sure she thinks she's coming and going unnoticed .Well if my mother wants to play cupid who am I to refuse,I'll let her come and go just cause she intrigues me .

Today's the day I get to talk to vera,or ginger as I'd like to call her that ,I kiss mom on the cheek after breakfast and leave as the car is waiting, over the past weeks at the school I've made alot of friends,or temporal friends as I'd like to call them, i guess its one of the perks of being handsome , I can hear the driver tell me we're here so I step out and as usual, immediately boys on the basketball team spot me they come over and start telling me about their weekend, asking why I didn't show up for their parties.

I just laugh and give one random excuse and we go in immediately,unfortunately my men didn't put me in the same class as vera since I didn't specify but it's okay because I'll get to her eventually. After school I tell the driver not to wait for me,I follow vera out and watches how she hugs and kisses her friend bye,that's when I run up to her ,hey I say, she turns around looks at me then looks behind her to make sure I'm talking to her,when she's certain it's her I'm talking to, she says hi ,she's so adorable,I catch up to her and she resumes walking,I've been seeing you around and I just wanted to say hi ,I live in the house opposite yours,she turns to me looking shocked and she goes "I didn't mean to sneak in your woods i just go there to have sometime to think ,so if this is why your talking to me I won't do it again" I look at her face she looks half scared and half confident if there's something like that,I laugh and I tell her that's not why I'm talking to her,she looks visibly relieved she won't get in trouble ,she says "okay but now you know so don't snitch on me to your parents"I laugh again and she looks visibly annoyed by my smile,I'm so sorry it's just you're so adorable, she stops in her tracks and then faces me looking rather amused, "what did you just say" you heard me, i smile and say and she shakes her head and keeps moving foward .

So I'd like to clarify, the reason I'm talking to you is because your pretty and you seem nice and since we're neighbors I'd love for us to get to know each other, before she could reply I see a small boy maybe five or six running up to her and hugging her,he ask who I am and she says I'm a friend from school,she turns and says bye and I tell her I'm Zack so she says bye Zack and walks in with the little boy.
