"Look who's acting like a master now." My eyebrows raised one confused look at the man older than me who was used to behaving like this. I didn't mind, since Adam had been my driver and bodyguard for almost 10 years now.
"You're not coming to watch?" I asked again when I realized that Adam only had one ticket in his hand, which meant it was mine.
"No, sir. I'm not interested in watching romance, but this movie is very good for you to watch." Adam smiled at his old age, which never looked like it did today.
"Why is it only good for me? Aren't you just like me too?" I laughed when I saw Adam's face, which immediately turned sullen because Adam's romance with this old man also ran aground before they got married.
Before Adam could open his mouth, the sound of the speakers instructed the audience to enter the theater, and Diego stood up from his waiting chair and walked into the theater with the rest of the audience.
This was the first time he had tried to mingle with people. Even though they didn't talk to each other, Diego thought it was enough to change Diego, who had been very introverted for the past eight years. Diego took his seat at the number that matched the number on the ticket.
Diego's right and left sides were occupied by a couple and there was one empty seat in front of him. The other seats were filled with people. Diego just sat quietly as he waited for the movie to start in a few minutes, until the lights were turned off and the light from the screen in front of him became clearer as the movie began. Diego's eyes began to focus on the screen in front of him.
However, someone passed in front of him for a few seconds and sat in the empty seat in front of Diego. At first, Diego thought the seat was empty but it turned out that someone had occupied it. Diego's eyes refocused on the movie that had been playing for a few minutes and had a plot that made Diego feel a little lost in the story of the first romantic movie he watched. Diego was wrong to choose to watch this movie because, as it turned out, it was not just an ordinary movie. But this was a story just like Diego's. The man who was the main character in this movie also suffered from the same disease but not the same brain cancer, and the man ended up dying in the end.
"Ahh, he is still lucky to know when he will go. Whereas, I could go off at any time, like a boom going off." Diego said to himself.
My eyes once again looked at the spectators on my right and left, who were also crying at this moment. Was I the only one who watched it without having a crying reaction? Should I also force myself to cry when, in fact, if I think about it, what I should be crying about is his life right now?
After the screening ended, the lights came back on and made the atmosphere of the theater bright again. And slowly, one by one, the audience went out of the movie theater because Diego didn't want to go out by jostling with others. So he let everyone out first and maybe he would be the last person to leave this room.
But strangely enough, the person sitting in front of him didn't leave, even though the room was getting quiet. And one thing that made Diego curious was that the woman's eyes were still staring at the screen that only displayed the names of the cast members in the movie and behind the scenes.
"Is she one of the crew making this movie?" Diego wanted to ask that but he realized that she and he didn't know each other, and why would he be so friendly.
Diego could have left the woman alone, but strangely, his legs and butt didn't want to stand up to leave the theater. He was still waiting for her to slowly raise her hand, which turned out to be holding her cell phone, taking pictures of the last name of the movie.
At that moment, Diego realized that there was a name that the woman had photographed. It was none other than the language translator from the movie, and right away Diego guessed what she did for a living.
"Oh my!!!"
The woman looked surprised when she turned around, perhaps thinking that Diego was like a ghost because he didn't make a sound. The woman looked shocked, but unlike Diego, who was amazed to see a beautiful face but looked more natural because the hair looked wavy, the brown eyes were so big in the movie theater lights that it was like Diego was looking at a beautiful jewel. Diego was openly staring at that face without shame.
"Sorry, I thought no one was around." Marcella opened her voice after managing to breathe calmly after she was surprised by the man, who still looked silent in front of her.
"No need to apologize; your eyes are beautiful." I don't know what I'm saying right now, but instead of being cold, I look like I'm flirting with a woman.
"Huh?"
Diego immediately realized that his words sounded strange to strangers who had just met each other today. And it was obvious now that the woman looked confused.
"Ah, no, I mean, the poster is pretty." I pointed at the poster of the movie that was showing today, and luckily the photo of the poster also had a pretty woman on it.
"Sorry, I thought you were talking to me."
My eyes only watched as the woman's body turned and walked away from me. Although earlier the woman had bowed very politely when apologizing to me, even though it was my fault, for the first time this made me interested in something that had never happened before. The pastel blue dress stole my attention and made me want to remember her. At least I hope to see her again.
After traveling for an hour, the car with the driver and Diego in it stopped in front of a luxurious European-style mansion. This is the house that Diego's late grandfather inherited on Diego's behalf; it was previously lived in by his grandfather, Diego, his brother Ryan, and also his father and another aunt who is currently in Australia.
On the way back to the house, Diego thought about John's words not to trust people too much. But Ryan's younger brother, Diego, was unsure, especially considering Ryan's last name was again an issue. Whereas before, this was not a problem, but the wonder is why only Ryan's last name is Anderson while their father Maxwell follows the last name of their grandfather.
