Chapter 8 The Exorcism Bead

The Human Realm

Since Anna and the girls were saved from the scorpion goblin by Shine, Anna followed the girls back to the village and the kind villagers left her to live with them. There are several exorcists in this village, they searched for several days but did not find the missing girls, heard that an exorcist with a scimitar saved the girls, they guessed that she was the famous exorcist Shine. Everyone was so excited that they kept asking the girls what Shine looked like, how powerful her magic was, and how she had subdued the scorpion goblin.

For the next two or three months, Anna followed the exorcists and practiced her mana. But she is a novice, and for her safety, they never take her on missions, even though she is very talented and learns quickly.

On this day, all the exorcists were out, leaving only Anna and Teddy to guard the village. The two were practicing their magic in the rape field by the stream when suddenly a shadow flew across the sky. They looked up to see what was going on, only a few birds hovering in the sky.

Anna was uneasy, with her alertness, she asked, "Did something just fly by."

"I seem to have smelled a faint demonic aura as well." Teddy affirmed.

They hurriedly headed back.

Seeing Anna so nervous, Teddy comforted, "Don't worry, Uncle Gray has set up an exorcism barrier for the village, ordinary demons can't get in."

"We must grab it." Anna worried.

The golden-haired goblin wagged his tail and said proudly, "Hey, I'll take this one, bye." Then he jumped high into the air and disappeared into the woods.

Hearing the sound outside, the villagers all came out to see what was going on.

"Don't even think about it!" Teddy instructed, "Anna, you stay and protect everyone. I'll go after him."

"Okay, you be careful."

As soon as Anna's words fell, Teddy was gone like a gust of wind.

Soon, Teddy caught up with the blond boy, and he found out that he was a canine goblin. Teddy was puzzled, this blond goblin is not high magic power, how did he break through the barrier and easily take the exorcism bead? Or is this just his blindfold?

Teddy probed him, "Are you a demon or a goblin? You can break through the barrier and take away the exorcism bead, your magic power will not be inferior to mine, and now you let me catch up easily, are you doing it on purpose?"

"So what if you catch up with me, can you beat me?" The blond boy did not answer Teddy's question, and still put on a high posture. He smiled wryly and let out smoke, and suddenly the forest seemed to be submerged in a layer of clouds, and the trees could barely be seen.

The fog swirled around Teddy, confusing him, no matter where he moved to, the fog followed him. He did not dare to step forward, he is in the mess, can only be careful of everything. The blond boy darted quickly among the branches of the trees, wanting to hurry back to his nest with the exorcism bead. With a smug smile at the corner of his mouth, he had a vague sense of excitement, what he wanted was finally in his hands, he had been eyeing the bead for a long time. If it weren't for the fact that almost all the exorcists in the village were out today, he wouldn't have been able to successfully enter the human territory with his half-goblin advantage.

Suddenly, a figure appeared across the sky in front of him blocking his way, and the visitor was carrying a large scimitar on her back.
