Chapter 5 4. Let's end the deal

We took the elevator to the third floor. I can't imagine how big and exquisite this mansion is. When we arrived on the third floor, the maids left me and took the elevator down to the ground floor. I wonder if anyone lives on the second floor.

This third floor looks more vast and beautiful than the first floor which is where the room I slept last night is. Even though this house appears like a contemporary mansion, I can feel that it was built many years ago. Like an ancient building renovated to suit the modern age.

If this is an ancient house, that means the person who built it is long dead. Mr Green eyes must have bought it from the generation it was passed down to. Why did he have to buy an ancient building? I'm sure he spent lots of money to turn it into a modern house.

My eyes were going through the paintings on the wall as I stride down the long hallway not knowing exactly where I'm even going. I thought Mr Green eyes would be close by to receive me but he isn't.

Those paintings on the wall look eccentric. Like there's more to them, they weren't just placed there, they have a deep meaning. Nevertheless, the paintings are very alluring and inviting.

Apart from the beautiful paintings, the hallway has a large and captivating, contemporary molded panel which looks expensive. The sparkling white marble floor beneath my feet enormously seems to stretch out for miles, it's so beautiful.

As I walked further, I came across a large space, nearly as big as the living room on the ground floor. The gigantic chandelier that dangles above me appeared delusive but it's not bigger than the chandelier I saw in the living room on the ground floor. Though my eyes didn't quite explore the living room, from the little my eyes were able to take in, I was sure the living room was out of this world....it spoke only one language which is money.

I was busy relishing the beautiful sight in front of me not knowing when a figure appeared behind me. When I abruptly turned behind me, I was startled. I quickly held my chest because I suddenly ran out of breath due to my heart which skipped big time. I recognized the figure which appeared before me as Mr Green eyes.

He's cladded in a black cloth and appears as a dark shadow devil but this particular devil is so gorgeous. It stole my breath away for a second. His dark hair which looks as if it was just combed with fingers instead of a comb, was styled backwards leaving some few strands to fall over his smooth forehead. The strand of hair which fell over his face slightly touched his full brows making him look hot. His dark green eyes are so enchanting but frightening at the same time. His perfectly pointy nose and well sculpted nose bridge brought out the beauty of his impeccable manly face which looks a bit pale. I have seen this man before but I don't know why seeing him this moment hits different... he looks like a ruthless but yet attractive King in his kingdom.

I can see his eyes also staring deeply at me but not lost like me.... I was literally lost staring at this gorgeous man in front of me. It's as if I'm just noticing how handsome this man is. Yeah, I know he was handsome the first day I saw him but his looks this moment is mouth-watering. Maybe it's because he's dressed differently from the way I normally see him dress.

I abruptly gulped down when he moved his feet as he walked towards me. He looks like an alluring devil walking under the moonlight. This man has a very strong aura which I actually noticed the first day I saw him. His aura is so intimidating and commands power. I wonder where I got the boldness to walk up to this man and ask him to be my fake boyfriend. I stood in his presence dauntless that day but right now I can't help my rapidly beating heart and the sudden fear that is arising in me. I can feel that this man is no ordinary man, he doesn't look like someone from this world.

He can effortlessly send someone to grave with those dark green eyes of his.

Those eyes are so cold and blank that you can't read anything from it. The only thing those eyes can do is make you shudder. I quickly withdrew my gaze and let it fall to the marble floor. He's standing so close in front of me and I can hear the pondering of my heart.

"I wonder if this is still the valiant little bunny who asked me to be his boyfriend." I heard his strong voice. I subconsciously felt cold, why is this man's presence so intimidating. It wasn't this intimidating the day I asked him to act as my boyfriend. Though it was intimidating, it was not as intense as this moment.

I flinched when his cold finger touched my chin and raised my head, to let my eyes stare into his eyes.

The way he stares at me this moment feels as if he's going to devour me. I was subconsciously holding my breath.

He withdrew his finger from my chin and stepped back a little as his eyes traveled through my body as if he's searching for something on my body.

After a long awkward silence, he spoke, "I like what I'm seeing, not bad. I knew that a pleasing look was hidden behind those dowdy looks of yours."

What does he mean?

"Vera Thompson, you interest me. I found you so unique, you didn't waver when you stood in my presence and asked me to be your boyfriend. I can't believe you are shivering like a cold chicken right now." His voice sounds amusing or rather mockingly.

But how did I know my name? I can't remember telling him. No, I didn't tell him.

"You don't need to be surprised. I can easily get information on anything or anyone I want to know. Don't worry little girlfriend, I know everything about you," he said.

Guess he saw the surprised look on my face when he called my full name. How did he get information about me, is he a spy or what? Why do I feel that I can't hide away from this man? He said that he knows everything about me and it must be true. Knowing my full name is enough to convince me that he knows other things about me.

I wonder what he knows about me. Is it the fact that I have no boyfriend and one time boyfriend I ever had only dated me because he wants to get close to my family and then close to my sister Wendy. I was living in my family house when Nathan dated me. I left my family house because I couldn't take my mother's ill-treatment towards me anymore- Or is it the fact that I was such a nerd back in high school. There's nothing charming he must have found out about me because there is nothing charming about me.

Wait... he called me little girlfriend, what little girlfriend. To his information, I'm going to cut the deal. It was made by me after all so I'm cutting it off.

"Ehmm... Mr Green eyes... I want to end the deal. I no longer want you to act like my fake boyfriend." Luckily I found my voice. I thought I'd lost it because of this dominating figure in front of me.

I heard him chuckle slightly. Why's he chuckling? Were my words funny?

"How can you end the deal when it's just starting. Remember, you promised to give me anything I want."

I gulped down when he said that. I wonder what he will ask from me. Is not like he's the one that went to the party with me so he shouldn't ask for something big.

"What do you want.... Tell me, I can give it to you."

I can give it to him, what if it's something I can't afford. The devilish smile that crept his lips was so suspicious. What's he going to ask from me? To my surprise, he just showed a piece of document to me.

"Sign this document, that's the only thing you will do for me," he said. The creepy smile left from his lips and his face was as cold as before.

What! Just to sign a document. I thought it would be something hard. Without thinking twice, I signed the document without even reading it.

"Here I'm done," I said and returned the document to him.

Seeing another devilish smile on his face, it quickly dawned on me that I was so foolish not to read the document before signing it. I was invested in the fact that he did not ask something hard from me not knowing that whatever that might be written in that document may be hard for me to do.
