Chapter 4 3. Nervousness

I stared unbelievably at the man standing in front of me. Is he really serious or just trying to pull my legs? He talks as if he already knows that my salary is measly. If I'm greatly paid, will he still want to double my salary?

If I tell him to pay me double of my salary, he will think that I'm so desperate for money. I need to preserve my self respect. I believe that I won't stay here long. If I report back to work and beg my boss for being absent from work, he will definitely forgive me. Also, I don't think Mr Green eyes is going to stay long wherever he went. He knows that he kept someone in his house, so he will definitely round up anything he's doing and come back immediately. The earlier he comes back, the earlier I can leave this mansion.

"Is okay, you don't need to pay me any money," I said with an unknowingly sheepish smile.

"Okay ma'am, if you say so." He turned towards the maids. "Take very good care of her, she's Alpha's special guest."

He bowed his head once again before walking out from the room.

I stare at the three girls that have their heads hung down. They look frightened. Are they afraid of me or what? I never thought that someone would be scared of me. This is ludicrous.

Why are they treating me with so much respect? This man that just left told the girls that I'm Mr Green eyes special guest. I wonder how special I am. Did Mr Green eyes tell them that I'm his girlfriend? But I'm not his real girlfriend, I don't even plan to stay in this house for long. I'm going to break this deal of mine which I made with him and leave this mansion.

My eyes are still on those girls, they are slightly trembling in fear. This is funny, I easily get scared and now I have people trembling in fear in front of me. I, that doesn't have any single strength in me, I'm sure only one of these girls can beat me up to pulp if we pull into a fight.

"Hey, you don't need to be scared of me, okay. I won't bite." I assured them but they hesitated before raising their eyes to stare at me. I smile at them to make them fully understand that they shouldn't be afraid of me.

"I need to take my bath, please take me to the bathroom," I requested from them. They quickly nod and lead me to the bathroom. The bathroom is vast and beautiful just like the room.

"You can as well show me the closet. Is there anything for me to wear from the closet?" I asked. Mr Green eyes didn't tell me that I would come to his house after the party so that I would bring my clothes along with me. Since he didn't tell me, maybe he bought a few clothes for me. I wonder if those clothes will be my size, I'm sure he doesn't know my size.

"Yes ma'am, different types and brands of clothes have already been stored in the closet for your use," one of the maids replied. She's the only one among the three with white skin, the other two have brown skins.

We walked out of the bathroom as they showed me the huge closet. Everything in this house is so big. The house itself is even big.

Seeing the closet I said, "You can now go to your rooms and take a night sleep. Is already late and I know that you must be feeling sleepy because I'm also feeling sleepy."

"You can order us to do anything for you ma'am. We were instructed to leave only when you fall asleep," one of the brown skin girls said.

What kind of order is that? Why must they wait for me to sleep before they leave... isn't that going to be tiresome on them?

"Is okay, you guys can leave. I'm changing the order. I will take my bath and go to sleep," I said. They actually hesitated before leaving the room.

Once they were gone, I entered the bathroom and had a cool bath. After taking my bath, I stepped out from the bathroom and ambled towards the closet. Opening the closet, my eyes met an incredible view. There are plenty of beautiful and expensive clothes inside the closet.

"Wow!" I exclaimed as I checked out the clothes. They are so beautiful and I'm sure these clothes cost a lot of money. I couldn't see any night robes among them, so I settled on the simplest dress there, which is an ankle-length straight gown. I put it on and noticed how it fitted me as if it was meant for me. I'm sure Mr Green eyes ordered these clothes. How did he know my size?

Wait.... Why did he even buy so many clothes for me? It's not like I'm going to stay here for long. Well, maybe he bought many of them so that I will choose the ones I like and leave the rest.

Once I'm ready to sleep, I climbed the soft King size bed and in no time, I drifted to sleep.

Waking up the next morning, the maids are already in my room.

"Good Morning ma'am," they greeted in unison.

"We were ordered to dress you up, Alpha is on his way back," the fair girl among them said.

Alpha? That means Mr Green eyes is finally coming back. Glad, I didn't have to wait long for him.

"Okay, let me take my bath first," I said, climbing down the bed.

"Ma'am, we are going to help you take your bath," the brown skin girl with beautiful brown eyes said.

What! Help me take a bath? How could she say something like that, doesn't that sound creepy.

"No, no, you don't need to help me. I can definitely manage myself," I rush out my words, already walking towards the bathroom.

"Okay ma'am." Their heads were bowed. Guess they are used to this, I just hope they don't get neck pain from bowing too much.

After taking my bath, I walk out from the bathroom. They have already selected a beautiful shady green knee-length gown. Green is actually my favorite color in clothing just like pink.

I sat in front of the vanity mirror as they did my make-up. I'm not a fan of make-up, I protested but they still insisted on putting it on my face. They said that they want me to appear glamorous in front of their Alpha as they call Mr Green eyes.

I didn't speak further and just allowed them to do anything they were doing on my body. After some minutes, they were done. Staring at my reflection in front of the vanity mirror, I couldn't recognize myself.

'who is this? This is not me', I mumble touching my face with surprise written all over me.

"You are so beautiful ma'am," the girls said. I haven't asked them their names yet, I think I should.

They said I'm beautiful, people hardly use that word on me. I literally blush when they say those words. Looking at myself, I know there's a difference between me now and me before.

Finally, they helped me with my dress. Looking at my reflection through the mirror, I couldn't believe my eyes. I have never worn this kind of dress before but looking at myself I believe that I look beautiful in this dress.

My sisters always call me ugly and not only them, I was also bullied in school and never had a boyfriend. Seeing myself this way, I don't think I'm ugly. Could it be that it was the way I dressed in the past that made me ugly but I actually love my normal dressing more than this dressing, I don't feel comfortable dressing this way. What can I do? These girls might get punished if I refuse to wear this dress.

"What are your names?" I asked them. They took turns in telling me their names.

"My name is Bella," the fair one among the three of them said. Her blue eyes are bright and beautiful.

"I'm Ava," the brown skin girl with beautiful brown eyes said.

"I'm Ruth," the other brown skin girl said. She has beautiful greyish brown eyes.

"You guys have a beautiful name," I said and they smile brightly. "My own name is Vera."

"You also have a beautiful name," they said. I smile.

I saw Ruth concentrated for a while as if she's listening to someone speak in her head.

After a few seconds she said, "Alpha is back, Sir Angus just told me." She turned towards me. "Ma'am, it's time to take you to the third floor."

How did she know that Mr Green eyes is back? I thought they said he was on his way and when did the so-called Sir Angus tell her. I didn't think much about it as I was immediately consumed with the nervousness of meeting Mr Green eyes.
