Chapter 3 2. Double it

My jaw dropped in awe the moment the car door was opened for me by the tan skin man dressed in a black suit.

Multiples of men also dressed in a black suit lined up in a row as they all bowed at me. I was stunned, what's with all these courtesy?

Seeing the highly exquisite building in front of me, I was dumbstruck. Am I in heaven right now or what?

This grand building standing tall like a giant cannot not be called a house. Calling it a house is throwing a pure insult at it. It even supersedes the word mansion, I just don't have the right word for this delusive, beguiling building.

I noticed that we drove for like two minutes or more, from the gate to this building. The compound is so big and looks like one complete landmass for a village. There are bright lights everywhere and it doesn't even look as if the sky had turned dark. I was able to see everything clearly with the aid of the lights. I could see how beautiful the compound was.

My jaw dropped and my mouth formed a wide 'o' shape when I took in the beauty of this compound from the gate to the main building. The huge waterfall, the colorful spacious garden which attracted me the most, the large and marvelous pathway which the car moved on, everything.... everything screamed extravagantly and left me awestruck.

I was more shocked when the gigantic door of the mansion was opened for me to walk in.

My eyes wide in utmost surprise as I gulped down to take in what I'm seeing. I'm still yet to figure out where I am. I'm confused and wonder if I'm still on this earth or have gone to heaven. But when did I die? I knew quite well that I'm still alive. I'm still on earth but where the fuck did I just walk in.

Wait.... The man that acted like my fake boyfriend said that he will take me to Mr Green eyes mansion. Yes, this place is a mansion. Even more beautiful than a mansion but I never thought that Mr Green could own a house like this. If he's the one that has this mansion, that means he's extraordinarily rich because this mansion can never belong to someone minor. I wonder why a rich man like him accepted to act like my fake boyfriend. Well, he wasn't even the one that came with me to the party, he sent someone else.

Entering this ineffable mansion, there are people who are lined up in a row just like those men outside, and their heads are also bowed. Most of them are female dressed in a corporate uniform and only a man was among them.

The man hurriedly walked up to me and bowed in front of me. Why's all these people bowing to me? I wonder how many people are in this house, I've seen a lot already.

"You are most welcome ma'am," the man said. He's dressed in a black suit just like the men outside. He looks like a butler. I believe he is.

'You are most welcome ma'am'. Were these people expecting me? I wonder where Mr Green eyes is. I think he told them about me. Did he also tell them to be bowing to me?

"This way ma'am," the man ushered me by stretching his hand on the path he expected me to walk on. The gentleman that acted like my fake boyfriend has already stopped at the entrance door.

My eyes wander through the ostentatious interior of the contemporary mansion to know if I can get a glimpse of Mr Green eyes but he's nowhere to be found. How can he ask that gentleman to bring me to his mansion and he's not here to welcome me.

"Ma'am, please this way," the man ushered again.

This way, this way; where the heck is he trying to take me to?

"Excuse me sir, please where are you trying to take me to and where's Mr Green eyes?" I asked but the man stared at me confused.

Why's he confused?

Oh! He must be confused with 'where is Mr Green eyes'.

I think the gentleman who acted like my boyfriend was smart enough to understand that I was speaking about their boss when I referred to him as Mr Green eyes. This butler is not as smart as him.

I'm the dumbest person in this world. I asked someone to be my boyfriend without asking for his name. His dark green eyes were the first thing that attracted me to him. They are so alluring and I abruptly started calling him Mr Green eyes, not thinking that it's necessary to ask for his name.

"Ehmm, I'm sorry.... Your boss, I mean where's your boss," I guess he will understand your boss easier and he actually did.

"Alpha is currently not in the city right now, he specifically ordered us to take very good care of you," he replied.

'Alpha?' is that Mr Green eye's name but that doesn't sound like someone's name, it sounds more like a title given to someone. I wonder what the meaning is. I wanted to ask the man but I waved it away. I've already acted so sheepishly by calling his boss Mr Green eyes and I may appear more weird if I ask him the question in my mind.

Finally, I followed the man wherever he's taking me to. We took the elevator and arrived in front of a huge grayish door. This is such a huge and luxurious house. Is Mr Green eyes living here alone or with his family? The only people I've seen so far are those people I believe to be his servants. I haven't seen anyone that could be his family member.

The grayish door was opened for me and my eyes welcomed the beguiling view. This looks like those princesses' rooms in a castle. The room is colossal and beautiful, it screams nothing but wealth. In fact, this whole house screams wealth.

"Ma'am, this will be your room for now. Alpha will decide your permanent room once he's back. The maids are at your service," the man said.

Permanent room? What does he mean by that? I'm not going to stay in this mansion for long, so there's nothing like a permanent room.

The grayish door flew open and three girls dressed in a corporate outfit walked in with bright faces. They bow to me and now I wonder why all these people are giving me so much respect, who do they think I am? Who did Mr Green eyes tell them I am?

"They are your maids. If you need anything, you can request from them or from me," the man added.

My maids? I never had a maid talkmore of maids, I wonder how it will feel to have one.

The man bowed and was about to leave but I stopped him.

"Excuse me." He stopped on his track immediately and placed his attention towards me.

"When is your boss going to return from wherever he went?" I asked.

I can't believe that Mr Green eyes asked that gentleman to bring me here when he's not even in the mansion. He wants me to wait here for him until he comes back, as if I don't have anything meaningful to do with my time. I don't mind staying in this beautiful mansion but I need to go to work before my boss fires me.

"The date or time for his arrival is not known by anyone but I believe that he will be back very soon," the man politely replied.

"I'm more worried about my work, I need to work before I get fired. I certainly need to leave this mansion to go to work"

"I'm sorry ma'am but I can't let you out of the mansion. I'm under the Alpha's order to keep you here until he returns."

Wait... are these people trying to hold me hostage?

"Please ma'am, you can state the amount you are being paid at your workplace. I will kindly double it, if that's the only way to stop you from leaving the mansion," he chipped in.

My eyes slightly widened in shock, what! He will double my salary!
