Chapter 5 One sweet soul

Layla POV

What did Mrs principal just say??

"De what??" I asked her wide eyed. She turned to me with this face that showed "period" on.

"Uhmm...ma'am, you see-"my statements was interrupted immediately.

"Yes detention Young lady, detention after school, you two will stay in the detention class after school period today" she said in a tone of finality.

"But Mom..." Ace managed to say. She raised her finger in the air and shut her eyes closed.

" I have said it, no going back to it. First, you strangled her and then she kicked your balls! What the hell image are you trying to bring to the school Ace Anderson?!!" She yelled at him.

Okay now, she called his full name. I guess she's really pissed off by it

"I'm really sorry ma'am, yes I'll go to the detention class after classes today" I said lowly and bowed my head

Ace was probably looking at me with disgust, well I don't care right now.

She sighed lowly and pushed her seat backwards "just get outta my office now, you two, get out"

I didn't hesitate to do as I was told. I turned around avoiding eye contact with Ace and walked back to the door to leave her office.

The teacher was still standing by the door, I ignored her and walked away finding my way back to class until I heard my name from behind.

"Layla!" Ace barked and I stopped my steps with a heavy sigh, I turned around to look at him looking at me like all he wants to do now is to roast me alive.

The teacher had gone back into his mom office, okay she's my principal to me.

"What?" I asked clicking my tongue.

"I have never been given detention, never been insulted, and I wouldn't let you be the first--" I didn't let him finish his statement before I interrupted him.

" No worries, I would be the first and wouldn't be the last, sometimes you need to know the truth, and yeah the Truth hurts" I replied with a side smile.

That seemed to piss him off the more.

"Is that something you are to smile at? How dare you cut me off!!" He yelled angrily

"Eii, I see from my point of view that all this that is happening now to you seems to be the first time" I chuckled

"No one ever does that shit, you b!tvh!" He replied with his teeth tightly clenched.

"There's a first time for everything a**hole" I replied with a smirk.

Before he could open his mouth to talk again, I spoke up "Now, young man, if you'll excuse me.. I have a lunch I am not to miss" I faked a smile and turned to leave.

" Layla!!" He yelled but I ignored him

" Are you deaf???" He added but still same.

I'm beginning to have fun with this Ace Anderson.

"Welcome to my world you idiot...." I smiled in my thoughts and then I made a right turn to head down the stairs.

A sudden figure appeared before me,

"Ah!" I exclaimed as I flinched back

"Sorry I startled you" the guy before me said.

Wait...

This face ..

" Aren't you one of that guy's minions??" My eyes went wide seeing Marcus looking as handsome as he'd ever be.

"Umh..he's my best friend" he replied and gave a side smile

"Oh..you're friends with a jerk, I should expect nothing less then" I muttered and threw my glance to the floor.

" We are totally different, you shouldn't conclude" he replied

"Yeah sure, that true..." I faked a laugh and scratched my neck.

"Uhmm..is there anything you need from me?" I asked him finally looking up to his face again.

He has this beautiful emerald green eyes, his nose were sharp and his jawline looking perfect like the anime hot guys I Know.

His blonde hair covered a part of his face and the rest went down to his shoulders. My eyes went to his soft small pink lips and immediately I gulped down.

"Layla...?" He called bringing me back to reality

I blinked my eyes rapidly as I replied " oh yeah?"

" I was actually going to meet him until I bumped into you" he replied

" Oh .. he's far behind me, I guess he's still standing there" I muttered

" Oh..okay, thanks though" he said with a beautiful smile.

Damn..he is smiling right now at me.

I really feel like screaming right now.

" Uhm, in that case, I'll leave you to be going then" I smiled. I was about to walk away until he held my hand stopping me.

" Eh?" I asked wide eyed.

" Your elbow, you're bleeding..." he pointed out.

"Bleeeee???" I exclaimed, frightened already.

"You definitely bruised your elbow from the fall, sorry about that too" he replied and I looked down at my elbow.

Indeed I was really bleeding.. "Thanks to that a**hole, I'm not getting this injury, I'm getting detention! Great, on my first day" I muttered lowly hoping Marcus wouldn't hear me.

" I'm really sorry about that" he replied.

I turned to him immediately wide eyed "what? You heard me??" I asked out of surprise

"I thought I said it so low...." I added and saw him laugh out.

Damn he looks cute right now.

His smile was so bright and his white teeth were neatly arranged.

"I can still hear you..even if you say it in your heart" he replied with a side smile.

Okay...I didn't expect that.

My cheeks is actually heating up right now, damnit!

" I'm Marcus by the way" he said and took out a white handkerchief from his pocket and slowly reached back to my elbow, tying it around

" You don't have to do that..." I gasped. As soon as he was done,he pulled away and tucked his hands into his pockets.

"I'll suggest you try not to piss Ace off, he could be brutal Layla.." he replied

"Oh, uhmm you know my name..how's that possible?" I laughed lowly.

"You'll find out" he said with a side smile and walked away.

"Oh...great! Nice meeting you..Marcus" I muttered

" Same here!!" He said from behind, I flinched back immediately.

Really?

He could really hear me??

"Oh well, Bailey isn't wrong at all, Marcus is really a sweet soul" I smiled and walked away tucking my hands into my suit pocket.

I was able to find my way back to the cafeteria but the moment I stepped in, all eyes turned to me.

Basically, everyone started murmuring.

Now I feel like a celebrity,

"Layla!!" That was Bailey again.

She ran to me and pulled me to a hug, "how are you? Are you hurt? Are you bleeding anywhere? Wanna puke or something??" She asked randomly

"I am fine girl, you should chillax" I replied and looked around still seeing eyes on me.

"Yep, they've been talking about you, damn it's annoying when people talk at your back" she replied and I laughed

"It's normal for them to talk at my back, I mean, I'll just be like.. damn, I've got myself a fan club. You Know I don't give a fvck" I said out loud
