Chapter 4 He talked to me!

"It's hard to say. If you're lucky, it could take three or four months. Otherwise, it could take forever," the doctor said, before pausing for a moment.

Time flies, and after one fall rain, fall has arrived in Sedona. Maria took a shower and came out of the bathroom. As she sat on her bed, she took out her new face cream she had bought that day and massaged it into her skin.

"Hey Zayn, do you want me to put this on? The weather is dry these days," Maria said as she walked by Zayn's side.

She sat on the edge of the bed and used her fingers to spread the cream on Zayn's face. Zayn's eyes suddenly opened. His eyes were deep amber and shone like jewels. The glint in his eyes shocked Maria enough to make her gasp. It wasn't unusual for her to see Zayn open her eyes every day, but it still gave her chills each time. "

Am I rubbing too hard? I shouldn't put much effort into it!" Maria continued to gently massage his face. At the same time she started talking to herself.

"I read online that it's because of your body that you don't have a girlfriend...but I don't think it's that bad! You have strong arms...and those muscular legs..." She said.

When she had finished applying the cream to him, she patted her hands on Zayn's arms and legs. Her touch was light and not enough to provoke a reaction from anyone. But her touch made Zayn react which immediately made her eyes wide. That's because she thought she heard a man's voice.

"Was that you Zayn? Did you say something?" Maria shouted as she jumped out of bed.

Her almond-shaped eyes looked intently at him. Zayn stared at her. There was something else in his gaze. Before, when he opened his eyes, they were lifeless and empty. This time, the eyes that looked at Maria were full of her emotions, even if those emotions contained anger, hatred, and distrust.

"Mrs. Fischer!" she ran down her stairs shouting like a cat whose tail was stepped on.

"Mrs. Fischer, Zayn is awake! He just talked! He's really awake!"

Her cheeks were flushed, her heart was erratic, her chest was pounding rapidly.

Zayn was awake. Maria was sure he was awake. Opening her eyes, he spoke to her. His voice was hoarse and he spoke slowly, which seemed menacing. Zayn asked her who she was. Maria's heart immediately went blank.

Everyone around her told her that he was going to die soon, so she never thought what he would do if he awoke. Mrs Fischer, doctors and bodyguards rushed to hear Maria's screams. Thirty minutes later the villa was packed with people. She shocked everyone. Neither of them expected Zayn to wake up.

"I thought you wouldn't wake up, Zane!" Rachel cried tears of joy.

"Glad you woke up, Zayn," Francis said. "You have no idea how worried all of us were, especially my mother. She was so upset that all her hair turned gray."

After examining Zayn's condition, the doctor turned to Rachel and said, "This is truly a miracle! When we last checked on him, he showed no signs of recovery. Mr. Knight could speak. All we have to do is get some rehab treatment and we'll be back in shape soon."

The good news came so suddenly that Rachel couldn't take it. She froze her legs and fainted in shock. Francis grabbed his mother and took her out of her room. The doctor, Mrs. Fischer and the bodyguard remained in the room, while Maria was stunned and silent by the door. She was too scared to go inside. The aura of astonishment emitted by Zayn when she regained consciousness was terrifying.

He sat up straight with his back to the headboard. His eyes were as sharp as a hawk, and he cast a cold glance at Maria.

"Who is she?" he said in a strong, low voice full of contempt.

The doctor was so frightened that he hardly dared to breathe.

Mrs. Fischer bowed her head and explained, "Dear Zayn, this is the woman Rachel arranged for you when you were sick. Her name is-"

Zayn's thin lips parted slightly, his voice. was hollow and indifferent and said, "Get her out of here."....
