Chapter 5 Sleep

I thought this party won't last long but I was wrong!

Ryan's drinking badly! And there's really a bet on who will be invited to come home? The one who is going to pay for the drinks we drink.

I was just about to get a hard drink. I thought at first, it was just a cocktail cocktail. Why are there such drinks?

"Aurora! Look at the students we see. They are all looking at you!" Yel elbowed me.

I was still in the middle of it, but I was able to look at the men behind me. They all look like boys my age, I purposely went to work right away and didn't want to go to school anymore.

"What? Who has a crush you? Meine and I will take care of it!"

Whatever it is my friends, they all want me to flirt with some senior high school students! Yes, I'm still a bit old, but I'm not. Since I've been working, I feel like I'm getting older.

I couldn't be more moaning at their wishes. They're all teasing me with the guy wearing a black jacket, I can't see the face too much but according to Yel, he's handsome.

"Ehhhh, there he is!" My friend said that he was going to drink his wine and drink his wine.

The man brushed his hair. He's wearing glasses, obviously a smart one! Because that's how it looks when you're wearing glasses right? You're automatically smart.

The man put his hand on me. I'm still worried to accept it because I might be a little nervous.

"I'm Ervin by the way." He said.

"Uh.. I'm... Patricia."

He held my hand tightly while shaking it, I don't know why he suddenly held it tightly, when I noticed that he was holding it for a long time I took my hand off.

"Go on! Come on, we're just going to have a drink here.." Ana, she gestured to the empty table near us, "Would you like to stand out?"

I'm already embarrassed. I was trying to get my friends to sing.

"Don't worry, they're drunk, they're already drunk."

"It's okay. I've always wanted to ask for your name."

I looked up at him, okay. He is a good boy in disguise because no! His eyes and his nose don't mean he's a good guy. Maybe this guy is a player? And he is just looking for someone to flirt in this bar!

Ervin took his phone from the back of his pocket, "Can I add?"

I nodded and picked up the phone on the table. I just wanted to see the screen and see a notification that immediately popped up.

I clicked the notification, my eyes widened at the name that came out.

Mikael Thai Arrhenius:

Mikael Thai is waving at you! Tap to wave back.

I don't know what to do, why did he wave? What does it mean?

"Patricia?"

yes. I quickly went to my profile and showed him my name.

"There.. That's my Facebook account."

I saw Ervin's forehead curl, huh? Why? Is my profile picture ugly?

"Someone is calling you." He said in a concerned voice.

What? I immediately turned the screen back to me and my heart leapt when I saw Mikael calling me!

I was almost sweating even though it was cold where we were. I'm still arguing with my demons whether to answer Mikael's call or not.

When I tried to answer the phone, he suddenly turned off the call.

I was about to get rid of Mikael's chat head but I saw him typing.

The hell?

Mikael Thai Arrhenius:

Sorry. I accidentally clicked the call button.

The words were almost knotted in my mind! I saw him! Shit! Now I'm obliged to reply! And what am I going to say?

"Patricia?"

Oh yes! I immediately removed Mikael's chat head and showed my profile to Ervin.

"I'm sorry, it's just my boss. I'm getting a call." I said embarrassedly.

"It's fine." He said with a smile on his face as he put his name on his phone.

In a few minutes I saw another notification that someone had added me. I heard that and Ervin.

Ervin Andre Pausanos.

I accepted it and immediately realized that we were friends.

"Now we're good." He said and put the phone back in his pocket, and I did the same. "Where are you studying?"

"Uh.. I've been working."

I don't know why I'm so embarrassed to say that, but even if I'm studying, I'm still going to work on my life. So why not earn early, right?

Ervin nodded, leaning his elbow against the brown table.

"Really? You look really young. I feel like I'm older."

"I'm just eighteen."

Ervin and I talked deeper, saying that his family owned a branch of gas stations. He was an only child, so his parents gave him everything. While he was telling me his story I couldn't help but to feel jealous. His parents loved him.

I didn't realize that I was thinking deeply about it while I was in school.

It was 3:00 in the morning and my friends were dead in the drunkenness.

"You really think they can still drive?" Ervin asked me, "So I'll bring you. I have my own car."

I shook my head quickly, even though he looked nice he was still a stranger to me! "H-No more! They can do it, they can do it too."

He nodded to me and said goodbye.

I heard the voice of Yel who seemed to give up on life, Sophia had just called a raven earlier. Ryan and Steve were just a bunch of people.

Great! And we still have a work to attend to! Take note ha? We're still working in the morning!

"Ry.. Can you guys still drive? Meine can't do it anymore, just you?" I asked him.

Of all of us, I was the most confident.

Ryan nodded and nodded his head, "Wait, Aurora, just pass. We can be frustrated when we are forced to."

I nodded. If they're still halfway through the whole thing, I don't think they'll drink it.

I listened to my phone while translating wine into my glass. I saw the message that Erin had sent me.

Ervin Andre Pausanos:

Hello. You're home? :)

I took a sip of water before I answered.

Me:

Not yet. You?

Erin was quick to respond, so I didn't want to be bothered.

Ervin Andrei Pausanos:

Why? I thought your mates were still okay?

Me:

I was wrong. Haha.

My friends were getting up, but I felt like I was being pushed out of my sight.

"There it is! Drink more!" I'm a little bit of a jerk and I've got my hair cut.

I wanted to shake her hand. I might vomit!

Ryan and I drove one by one, Meine's car was her boyfriend's driver. She couldn't do it anymore, so we called her boyfriend. It was even irritated when it arrived.

"Good mornight, Aurora!" Ryan was there when I was dropped off in front of the house.

I waved, I didn't want to talk. I know that I'll throw up in any minute. I just want to lie down.

I opened the door carefully, they didn't lock because they knew I was still outside. When I got to the door, I was still searching for the key.

Did they wait? Are they in the living room waiting for me? Oh! I hope they will not confront me for coming home this late!

But it was a mistake to wait because when I opened the door, no one would open it. The lights are off and they are probably sleeping already. I smiled at myself and closed the door.

I walked up the stairs, and my mother's door was open. I don't know what went in there to look for them. I'm correct! They are peacefully sleeping.

I couldn't stop crying, I laughed as I walked away.

I didn't realize my tears were falling, I was still laughing as I wiped them away.

Get used to it, Aurora. You should get used to it.

I just let the pain go, it will go away later. Right now, I need to sleep.
