Chapter 2 Lipstick

"What? Did he really do that? What? What level are you at?" Even if I'm on the phone, I'm going to wake up the dog coz of Yel.

We're talking about Mikael, I can't sleep so I decided to call Yel good thing and she's still awake.

"Um. I don't know yet? But we're okay." I don't want to hope. What if he's really like that? Friendly? Er.

"Go ahead! As long as there is life there is hope!" I heard Yel laughing on the other line, "Oh! What time are we going to be with Cadence again?"

I closed my eyes and turned to the clock. "8am."

"Mikael is there?" She asked.

I was on the headboard of the bed. "Perhaps?"

"Find out!"

Well he's going to be there. All of them cousins were there and then we were the only close friends of Cadence.

"I'm not sure, but what did your sister say?" Avinia?"

Great! I remember what happened when I got home. She's a bitch and I'm going to get her

"Well, as usual.." I took a deep breath again and let it go.

"I thought she has an illness to her heart. Or brain?"

I laughed at Yel. I am the youngest, the saying that the youngest is often the favored? No. My sister was the favorite of the two of us. I don't know if my parents treated me like their child or what.

When we found out that my sister had heart disease, they seemed to have lost the attention they had given me. I'm not jealous nor insecure. I can understand why.

"You going to fetch me here?" I took the pillow next to me and put it on me to hug.

"I don't know? Text Cadence, tell her to go with Mikael!" I put the phone away from my ear because I was deaf to her sudden silence!

I nodded to myself. "Are you insane? He's not my driver! Then it's embarrassing! We're not that close."

"Ows? "You're not close yet?" Yel asked sarcastically, sending me a shake.

I don't know if I should have told her what happened or what. I regretted the thought.

"yes no, Yel? We can text Cadence and tell her if Lorcan can fetch you?" Now it's payback time!

"Hey, you're fine Aurora ha! I'm telling you, I'm going to get you on Mikael's nose!"

We both laughed. Isn't it illegal? We're fantasizing the Arrhenius' and it's kinda funny. It was their fault. They're too handsome, eh!

Yel and I ended up and it was morning. Mornings. One of the most disliked. I've always been a plastic person.

"Oh? You got a walk?" My sister. yes, right. I should get used to it.

"And I know you don't care." I murmured, at the same time I saw my sister I saw my parents as well.

"Patricia, you're late. If you woke up you thought you were here and why did you dress like that? You got a walk? It's Saturday now huh? Don't say you have a job?" My father hissed at me.

I secretly rolled my eyes and sit. We were in front of the kitchen, but when he could talk, I looked at my mom. She's just eating and pretending that she's not hearing anything.

"That's exactly what." Avinia said and gave me a sharp bitchy look.

I want to hit her with this plate in front of me.

"I don't know where you inherited, Patricia. Your sister isn't like that, why don't you emulate her?"

I shut my eyes and clenched my fist. Yes, always. Always comparing me to her.

I've been quietly moving my food and not judging them out of my ears. They're always like that. I'm sure if I could just keep track of what they say and play what they say, I'll do it.

I stood up quietly and settled down. I didn't have to leave, I didn't have to say goodbye to them because they didn't have a wig. I fisted my phone out of my bag and texted Yel,

Me:

I'm out. How long it takes.

We talked about her being the one to pick me up.

"So where are you going again?"

I almost rolled my eyes. And why she's here? I didn't face her. My feet were starting to get out of here. Where are you, Yel?

"Last night you came home late then today, you're leaving now? You have a boyfriend? A dirty old man to be exact?" she looked at me, and I saw her lying on the edge of my eyes.

"Are you pertaining to me or to you?

She was about to say something when suddenly Yel pulled her car aside near us. She opened the window and winked.

"Gotta go." I waved my hand at Avinia's face and got on the front seat.

"Is she really your sister?" Yel said while starting the car. I just shrugged my shoulders and waited to arrive at our destination.

I just felt the sudden weight of my eyelids. I don't know how many hours I fell asleep and I felt Yel shaking me.

"Aurora, let's go. They're waiting. We're the only ones left." I rubbed my eyes. oh We are here in Syferath. Yel and I went down. I fixed my clothes and myself first.

Yel is ahead of me because I need to retouch. God! You should not have slept Patricia!

I put on lipstick alone in front of Cadence's house. Everyone was already inside and I watched myself in the small mirror.

"You're busy.." I almost jumped when I heard it! I turned to the voice and luckily I grabbed my jaw which almost dropped.

The man standing in front of me is none other than Mikael Thai Arrhenius wearing his usual devilish smirk!

"W-What... What are you doing here?" Damn it, Patricia! Why are you stuttering?

He shrugged. This is the right opportunity for me to observe his appearance. His perfect features! His soft lips, narrow nose, deep dark eyes and perfect jaw. ! Did I think nobody's perfect?

"Earth to Patricia?" I almost went back to myself when I heard him! I need to focus! I need to stay focused! It's not always like this. It shouldn't be like this that when he talks to me I lose myself.

"Did you eat the food that I gave you last night?" He approached me.

I nodded. Even though the taste is common to me, the recipe seems different, especially since Mikael gave it.

"Are you done?" Mikael asked me. At first I didn't get him but when I finally did,

I was ashamed to hide my lipstick and glasses. I nodded.

"Let's go? They might be waiting." I wanted him to go first but I was surprised when he suddenly snorted. I frowned.

"W-What?"

He snorted again and looked down at my lips.

What!

When he snorted again I really snorted, I was surprised when he suddenly bent down and shook his head.

He was still wearing his smile. He stepped closer to me and that's when I got nervous.

What? Is he going to kiss me?! I closed my eyes and I was waiting for his lips when I felt him wipe something.

I opened my eyes and saw him wiping the corner of my lips.

"Lipstick." Mikael said and winked before leaving me feeling ashamed of myself.
