Chapter 4 Towers

Mikael and Sir Syche left after that, Mikael just checked the facilities of our office. I don't know why they seem to have a sudden fieldtrip of Sir Syche.

And me? I could barely breathe. Seeing him that close to me? And I still crush him? I asked myself why I didn't die as he held my hand!

"God, Patricia!" The girl who had been in the room with me said, "They are so damn fine!"

Yel shook my head as Dan gave us a nasty look, I still couldn't believe it. He remembered me!

"Shit! The long time after Cadence's wedding, a? But he remembered you! Shit really!" Yel said and was almost overwhelmed with emotion.

"Shut up Yel!" Dan's rebuke here, seeming to be annoyed.

I don't blame him for acting like that, we are getting our officemate's attention because of Yel's voice.

"Don't be so jealous! You know, that's how we like Arrhenius. Why not right?"

I ignored the two, why not really? Simple as that. In addition to the fact that they are rich, they are not just rich. They are very smart and known to topnotch board exams. yes they get a lot of fling but not one after the other.

They have their women one at a time, and they don't just throw away the women they're with.

Which made me think, do Mikael has a girlfriend?

"Patricia!!" Yel Shaked me.

"What Yel? Stop calling me that. I am not used to it."

"But if Mikael will call you in that namw it will be okay with you?"

What? I just breathed to whatever she says and Dan looks like he is regretting his visit here.

"Just Syche for me please" Yel covered her face and I just stare at her crazy acts. Well all of them are really good looking but I heard Sir Syche is already getting married.

"He doesn't like chubby girls like you" Dam teased.

"Screw you! You just did not get your chance to Cadence, eh?"

I just don't feel myself at our remaining office hours. I was just agreeing to wjat Yel is saying even I can't understand it anymore. Will Dan be here again? Since he left and now on his new company.

"Where to?" Yel asked

Well Styx has been renovating let us go to Mamshies." That is the new bar here in Cavite and looks like all drinks there are affordable

"Alright, just wait. Meine and Kyle will come."

I didn't complain anymore. The more the merrier, so that the money is not heavy on the pocket.

"What? Are you going to say goodbye to your parents yet?" Yel asked. I took my phone from the side to see if Mama had any texts from me. But yes, I'm not important to her. It's always my sister. I'm just their living puppet.

"Not anymore, Yel. They don't care either."

After our duty we went straight outside the office to wait for the others. I found out that Meine, Ryan, Sophia, Ana, Jannella and Steve will be coming later. Yel and Jannella are the only ones here.

"What time are they out?" Jannella asked while looking at the clock.

"Now, maybe still waiting." I just stood on the side. I'm a bit sleepy but I don't want to go home. I'm sure my sleepiness will disappear from my hero hero sister.

"Come on Aurora!" Yel pulled my hand when she spotted some of our coworkers. We got into Meine's car, with Ana and Sophia inside.

"Is mamshies far away?" Sophia asked.

"No!" Ana answered.

Meine turned up the radio in her car because a familiar tune suddenly echoed there.

"This is Aurora, she looks like she can hook a Millionaire, huh!" Meine said to me. My eyes widened when she mentioned my name. No! Why can I get Mikael? I won't pass any of his types! It's probably an educated woman who wants that!

"It's not, crazy.. It's just a simple crush."

"But he remembered you!" Ana said, "Do you know that Jacky is jealous of you? They say you're annoying!"

My face turned red when I heard from Ana. Jacky is my friend and I didn't expect it from her. Jealousy really comes from nowhere.

"Well," Yel put her arm around me, "Cadence is our friend and we're the only ones who can get close to the Arrhenius, you know that?" She said bragging.

I looked at her. "Yel!" I reprimanded in a whisper. That's not true. We also have Arrhenius people who are not approachable or close to us. They are just really friendly to us, it's really easy to talk to them because almost all of them are approachable, no wonder they have many businesses all over the world, their communication skills are superb!

I was almost deaf with all the laughter of my co-workers. I was really thankful because we got to mamshies right away. It's true to the photos, it's big and beautiful! I immediately saw women selling cigarettes and some candy.

"Look at these young people, the others are still in uniform." Ryan's attention to the side. They are already here, I didn't realize it. I looked at the group of young people who noticed them. It's true that some of them are still in uniform and it's hard to order a tower. I was shaking. I just hope that they are studying well and that their parents know where the money that is given to their children goes.

"Oh, find a seat. We'll talk." Steve said.

Yel pulled me easily and we immediately found an empty seat. Steve and Ryan immediately talked to the bartender and ordered.

"A bucket of san mig too!" They chase after Jannella.

"We have work tomorrow!"

"That's okay. Hang over at the office!"

I'm just shaking, I don't know about them. It's 10 in the evening and I'm restless. Maybe they're not looking for me at home, right? As a consolation to myself, I just open on my cell phone. Good thing is I always have data. Fortunately, smart sim is also strong here.

When I first scrolled through my newsfeed, I immediately saw the change of Avinia's profile picture. She's wearing a flannel shirt and a shorts, her two hands are raised and she's wearing shades. I looked at Mom and Dad's comments there.

Mom: You are really so beautiful, hija! Our princess!

Dad: That's our daughter!

I didn't know that I was smiling while watching them. A smile that doesn't spring from the inside, a bitter smile, a forced smile. When did I feel that they treated me as a child?

When they found out about Avinia's condition, I really just became an air to them.

My thoughts were interrupted when my cellphone suddenly vibrated. I looked at what it was. A friend request? From whom?

Mikael Thai Arrhenius sent you a friend request.

My heart suddenly pounded at what I saw. What really?

"What is that?" I almost jumped when Yel peeked in, I immediately hid my phone. "W-Nothing.." I lied.

"Weh? Really? What is that?" She still insists on me. I don't know what excuse to make. By the time she finds out what Mikael did, she will probably make noise and get Meine's attention.

Fortunately, the men came with the towers. "There they are!"
