Chapter 5 Pretty girls shouldn't cry

Erys sat at the edge of the river eyes were yellow. It had been yellow for the past five days. She did nothing but cry over her loss. Her hatred for humans began to grow.

While growing up, Erys thought she could live in peace with human if only they accepted her, but now she knew better. The humans were nothing but monsters, they call her strange, call her a monster but the truth is that they themselves are the true monsters.

She grew up in the forests without parents, without a family and her only family, Nyx left all of the sudden. And her best friend, they took her away. Her eyes began to leak again, She knew why her face was leaking. It happened the day Mona died. Her eyes leaked everytime she thought of Mona, every time she was sad.

Tears, who knew she would ever cry. Before Nyx left a few months ago, She had tried to teach her little things about humans over the years as she grew.

Axel walked deeper into the forest, he still hadn't found any animal to draw and he was getting tired. He found a river near by and began walking towards it when she spotted a huge black feather-like wings. He recognized the wing, it was the strange girl, the one Theo captured. The one who escaped and made the guards fall asleep.

He stared at her, she still wasn't aware of his presence. She was beautiful, one beautiful piece of art.

He got out all his drawing materials and began to draw the strange creature, he drew her carefully, he wanted her to look as beautiful as she looks in reality.

Erys heard some shuffling sound and got alert, she looked around to make sure no pesky human was hunting her down. She sighted one, a young man and her eyes turned red in anger. She didnt know how fast she went but in a second she had the man against a tree.

She recognized him as the prince who visited her in the dungeon with his sister the night she escaped. She stared at his face. He was.... Beautiful with long lashed and sea blue eye which seemed to draw her.

"Hey, let go" he said snapping her back to reality

"Who are you and why are you here, are you here to hunt me down and put me in the dark room again" she said annoyed. She really couldn't get a break.

"No, I'm not" just then something fell from his hand.

Erys looked at it in confusion, it was a strange thing, she couldn't explain what it was but it had a figure in it. It looked familiar, it looked like...... her.

Erys unconsciously released Axel and picked strange thing on the forest grass.

"Is that me" her hands traced the wings in the drawing. It looked so real, so beautiful. She wondered if this was how her wings truly looked like. They looked majestic, she looked nothing like the monster humans portrayed her to be

"Yes" Axel shrugged.

"Its beautiful" Erys whispered.

"You're beautiful" Axel said truthfully and Erys flushed. Her lips curved up into a small smile. It was the first time she smiled since Luna died.

It was also the first time someone called her beautiful. Someone other than Nyx...

"May I?" Axel said with a smile and Erys gasped.

"There a hole in your face" She said and Axel chuckled at her naive behavior.

"Its called a dimple" Axel smiled revealing his 'dimple'. And her eyes shone at the sight. She didn't know humans to look this attractive. And the hole on his face when he smiled. They made him look even more beautiful..

"Well, they are pretty" She said

"Thank you" he took her palm and kissed it.

"Oh" Erys flushed again, she didn't understand what he was doing.

"Its a sign of appreciation among royalties" he explained seeing her confused at his actions.

"But I'm not royalty" Erys said timidly.

"That doesn't matter, now may I go back to drawing you please" he said.

"Drawing?"

"Yes that, don't you want to see it complete" Axel said.

"I do" she said and nodded excitedly. Even though she now disliked humans, she was somewhat happy she was getting alone with one.

She had always wanted to be able to talk and converse with other people like a normal person. But Nyx had warned against it and Erys couldn't blame her after seeing how the humans had treated

Axel hummed as he continued to draw this innocent creature but stopped when he noticed a tear run down her face.

"What's wrong?" he asked frowning.

"Huh?"

"You're crying, why"

"Crying? What's that?" She looked clueless about what he was saying.

He used his hand to wipe her teats and Erys flinched from the strange touch. No human had touched her, Nobody had the courage to.

"Your tears"

"They come when I think of Mona" she gave a sad smile.

Axel remembered the name, She had been calling the name the night at the dungeon

"Oh" Axel put two and two together, he immediately understood what had happened. "I'm sorry" Erys shook her head as another tear slipped out of her eyes.

Suddenly, he yanked her and pulled her into a hug as her eyes widen in surprise. She didn't know what he was doing but she liked it
