Chapter 2 Captured

"Did you hear what happened brother" Haisley said sitting beside her brother. He ignored her and continued with what he was drawing. He loved to draw, he finds peace in it and luckily for him, he had the special talent.

"The strange girl is alive, some bunch of villagers found her" He paused and turned to look at his little sister. She had blue eyes just like him just that his were deeper and more enchanting. Blue eyes weren't the only thing they had in common, they also had the same brown hair too and light skin. They looked like twins and Haisley was a really beautiful princess.

"The one with the wings that father told us about? You think she's real" He scoffed. "Haisley, that's just a silly fairytale" he returned to his drawing.

"Fairytale!" She exclaimed dramatically " she's real, they said she even created a fire to burn down trees"

"No human being can 'create' fire"

"That's because she isn't a human being. They say her mother was a fallen angel and her father, a casted demon"

"So she's a half demon half angel?" He said sarcastically.

"Yes!"

"How is that even possible Haisley, Angels don't just fall from the sky and demons?.. How would they even make a child" he said frustrated but she just shrugged.

"Theodore is already on it, now that he knows she's real and in the forest. He's searching from her. If he finds her and brings her home, Father is going to announce him as crown prince" She said and he rolled his eyes

"Well you know its been Theodore's dream to rule as king ever since he was a child. I'm not surprised. Besides its his duty as the first son" he said truthfully

"But Dad has given you a chance Axel"

"You of all people should know that I'm not interested in all this King stuff" He huffed standing up.

He had finished drawing. it was a drawing of Haisley. He was secretly drawing her while she was talking.

"What do you think of this" He smirked as she stared at his drawing of her.

"That's beautiful, I'm so pretty" she boasted and Axel rolled his eyes.

" I'm keeping this" She snatched it.

"Thank you" Haisley kissed his cheeks and left the room.

Axel shook his head at her childish behavior.

"Your highness!" A tall man dressed in the royal guards uniform ran to the tall black haired man.

"We found a cave, we can take shelter there."

Theodore, the first prince and rightful heir to the throne of Devon stood under the heavy rainfall in the forest. They had been relentlessly combing the forest for the strange creature. The rain had become too much and heavy for the prince and his men, it made moving around the forest hard as they could barely see anything. It also became a little bit foggy.

"Take us there" came his rough voice and the guard bowed before leading them to the foot of mount Sinai.

The Cave was dark and quiet, but they could hear little sounds from inside the cave. "Lit a torch" the prince ordered in a small voice and they quickly lit a torch and gave it to him.

He walked into the cave with the torch and his eyes widened.

Erys was walking down the mountain after going on an evening hunt with Luna. Since the incidence that happened two days ago with the humans from the market, she had become more wary and scared.

She started living in a cave under the mountain near the forest. It was much deeper and far from the human village compare to where their hut was built. She doubted any normal human would wander this far into the forest.

It started drizzling and Erys sighed. "I wanted to go home today" She pouted. "I don't think we'll make it home in time before the rain starts pouring heavily, we have to go back to the cave." She said to Luna who stared at her blankly.

Theodore held his sword tightly walking slowly towards the Cave putting the torch in front of him while three of his men followed, the rest stood at the entrance of the cave as he had ordered them to.

He peeped into the cave to see a huge white wolf laying on the ground. it looked like it was sleeping and it wasn't alone. There was a lady laying on the floor too. Her silver white hair covered her face as her head rested on a small sack. She looked so peaceful and beautiful as she slept. Her skin were white, her silver white hair was glittering like she had put something in it. She looked like some sort of angel, she looked too beautiful to be a human and.... She had WINGS.

The black feather-like wings on her back spread on the floor of the cave. They were huge and beautiful. Glittering like her hair, they looked so soft and pretty. Theodore was tempted to touch it when reality finally hit him.

This is the strange girl. The girl they had been looking for. The girl who caused things to mysteriously disappear. The key to him being King.

"Your highness" Jared, his closest guard gasp from behind him as they both stared at the girl with wing. He couldn't believe his eyes, she was real!

"Shut up, you'll wake her. Now give me a bow and arrow" The prince ordered.

He took the bow and arrow and targeted it at the sleeping wolf. Just as planned, the arrow hit its leg and the wolf howled in pain.

Erys sprung up at the sound of Luna's loud and pain filled howl. She studied her environment and stared wide eyed at the men in their cave.

"Get the wolf now!" Theodore ordered and chained were wrapped around the bleeding animal. They dragged it out if the cave as it howled and tried to break free.

"No... No let her go" Erys yelled, her eyes turning red. This made the prince widen his eyes and my move backwards as the wild anime struggled to get out of their hold. It was being held down by 6 of his men.

"She can talk" Jared exclaimed in surprise.

"Let her go now!" She said threatening him. She was panicking inwardly, Humans were here, so many humans. They were surrounding her and they looked stronger and more equiped than the mob from the market.

Had they been searching for her?

Her heart was racing, there was no way she could make the cave burn. She could run and escape but Luna would probably die in their hands. And Nyx, she wasn't here to save them.

'what am I going to do? I'm in big trouble' She thought inwardly.

"Come with us and we'll let your dog go" Theodore said coldly unfazed by her weak threat. He could somewhat sense her fear.

"Luna is not a dog!" Erys growled irritated.

How dare these people come to her territory to insult her. Why couldn't they just leave her alone?

She had never hurt any human, if only they would try to make peace with her and accept her. She was as harmless as a house rat.

"Kill the dog!" Theodore ordered his men and Erys eyes widen.

"No!, I'll go with you"

She couldn't let them hurt her best friend. She knew she could escape easily from these humans. Her speed, was something they wouldn't see coming. If she followed them, they would let Luna go and then she'll escape and probably run deeper into the forest.

Erys sighed, she could never get a break from all this running.

"Chain her!" Theodore ordered with smirk, this was easier than he thought. They found her on their second day of search. "oh and release the dog"

Erys was in chain and Luna growled at Theodore and his men with an arrow in its leg, wanting to attack as she bares her teeth.

"Don't worry Luna, I'll be fine" She reassured the wolf as they dragged her away.

Finally, he would get revenge and he would be king. The throne belonged to him alone and not his useless brother. He had worked hard for it, he deserved to be crowned king of Devon

Theodore though as he stared at the lady seated in the carriage with him. She was chained and blindfolded. Her wings spread in the carriage as his hand moved to touch them.

"Don't even think of it" her cold voice said as he paused to stare at the blind folded lady, how did she see him?

"Touch it and its over"

He scoffed. How dare she threaten him! She was in no position to threaten him.

"Axel!" Haisley burst into her brother's room.

"Axel!" She yelled again and her brother rolled his eyes.

"When will you learn, a proper princess never yell" Axel said mimicking their Mother.

Haisley rolled her eyes at her brother's words. Axel knew how much she hated acting like a 'proper princess'. Instead of tea parties like most princesses do, Haisley preferred archery and sword fighting which their mother hated.

"I'll just pretend you didn't say that" she growled.

"Fine..fine" Axel raised his hands in surrender.

"But why did you yell my name, dear sister" He gave her a side smile that exposed his dimples. If he weren't her brother, Haisley would've been crushing on Axel.

"Haven't you heard the news Axel?"

"What news?"

"I can't believe you're living in this palace. Even the villagers have heard"

"Heard what"

"Theodore has captured the strange girl!"

"What" Axel flinched "she's not even real"

"Oh brother she is, she's in the palace dungeon right now"
