Chapter 5 A New Begining

The sound of someone clearing his throat distracted them and they both turned around.

"Uncle Matt",Lucy was stunned, uncle Matt is her mother's brother, the person they were waiting for her now he caught them in such an awkward position.

"Are the two of you done ",he asked smiling meaningfully.

"Who is h..",Nathaniel was about to ask who he was when Lucy immediately shouted

"Uncle Matt good evening ".

"what are you doing here?"uncle Mark asked.

"Actually granny sent me,us rather to the store to buy some fruit and vegetable but the rain started falling heavily so we decided to take refuge here, what about your uncle". Lucy explain stammering

"I'm also here to take refuge I was on my way to your house when the rain started,the floor is wet and slippery so I parked my scooter over there,he is one of your guest right?". uncle Mark explain and asked.

"Yes, he's Nathaniel Mr and Mrs Lennon's son".

"Okay ",he replied and sat on the little rock by the side and she sighed in relief . thankfully he didn't say anything or how would they have explain them self and how the hell did they end up in such a situation.

"It's his fault for being so seductive and flirtatious", she glared at him harshly.

Immediately after the rain stopped they headed to the store while uncle Matt headed home.

"Oh Matt, you're here", granny greeted

"Of courses, since you've sent me a message I have to come as early as I can", Matt smiled and granny introduced him to Mr Lennon who was working on his laptop and they both exchange pleasantries .

"Nath and Lucy would also be here any moment from now I met them on my way home"uncle Matt explained.

"Okay ", granny served them coffee.

"As for the adoption you can adopt her but not as your daughter but instead as your son's wife", uncle Matt sipped his coffee.

"You,what are you saying?, who is this century still does arranged marriage",Mr Lennon argued.

"It isn't that they are to get marry, you just give her the title of your son's wife for protection, afterall they are many wild and crazy people in the city", uncle Matt explained.

"Her being my daughter is the greatest protection so there's no need to do this...".

"Darling let it be who knows they might later have feelings for each other so that'll save us the trouble". Mrs Lennon advised interrupting husband.

"Fall in love as how, what are you saying", Mr Lennon argued back and then Mrs Lennon pointed to the shadows of the two figures approaching the door, Nathaniel carrying Lucy who had already fallen asleep on his back and holding the groceries basket.

"She hurt her foot and I had to carry her", Nathaniel explained."and she's already fallen asleep.

"Carry her to her room then", Mrs Lennon said.

"You two can go to bed, we're discussing here and we'll leaving tomorrow afternoon".Mr Lennon replied gazing intently at his s cup of coffee.

"Don't you see how cute they look,so compatible, I'm sure that there's going to be a spark between them in the future",Mrs Lennon fawned.

"Since you've already decided,I'll retire for the night ", uncle Matt replied and headed to his room.

"What a pig now my back aches a lot",Nathaniel complained and lay Lucy on the bed gently and turned to leave but she pulled him back and he fell on her their lips brushing against each other.

"Gosh, she even has such a bad sleeping posture let me steal a kiss,she is so tempting "he leaned closer just then she stirred and woke up

"You pervert what are you trying to do?", she immediately jumped and cover herself with the blanket .

"you weren't you the one who pulled,me back I was just about to move away who knew you had such bad sleeping posture, just like the pig you are ,so unladylike of you". Nathaniel scoffed covering his ears that was as red as tomato due to the embarrassment.

"You are the one who is pig,your ancestors are the pigs you idiot"she yelled.

"Don't forget you're already part of our family now,so respect your ancestors ", Nathaniel smirked before walking out of the room.

Early the next morning Mrs Lennon woke Lucy up asking her to pack her belongings as they were leaving in the morning they had planned to leave in the afternoon but something urgent came up and we have to leave now to be on time.

"But I can't pack all my stuff in just a few minutes it'll still take me sometimes", Lucy frowned.

"No,don't worry you don't have to pack everything just pack all your precious items,you don't have to worry about clothes or any other thing,everything will all be at home waiting for you so you just need to pack your precious items"Mrs Lennon smiled and immediately she help Lucy to pack some items in her backpack and they left the town and headed to the city.

Lucy kept looking at the environment as they left the town and headed to the city.

By the time they got there, it was already late at night it was already late at night.

"Wow",she marveled at the sight in front of her,the house is so huge and everything seems luxurious.

" Nathaniel is this your house".she whispered to him.

"yes what do you think",he replied.

"It's so huge and beautiful"she complimented

"Of course it has to be huge and beautiful this is the most expensive house in this country of course it has to be worth it's reputation".

"I just asked you a simple question, is this your house, yes or no but instead you just have to praise yourself to the sky, idiot",she said and walked ahead of him angrily.

Immediately they got into the house, she was even more surprised,the interior looks much better and luxurious than the exterior.

"Welcome sir"

"Welcome ma'am".

"Welcome young master".

"Welcome young lady".

Several maids who were dressed in the same uniform bowed, welcoming them.
