Chapter 3 A New Boy

Accused of stealing a cell phone belonging to a rich man's son, Cakra had to leave school or drop out. Not only is that a problem, but Cakra's poor attendance record, which often leaves him absent, makes the principal's decision inviolable. In fact, Cakra has never stolen other people's goods, he dares to swear. However, arguing was pointless. Cakra had no strong evidence to justify his decision. All he could do was surrender and accept the decision, even though it felt very heavy at heart.

Therefore, inevitably, Cakra had to leave his old school. And today, he can enter his new high school.

Actually, sleepiness still attacked Cakra's eyeballs, but the boy had to get up and go to school. It would look funny if, on the first day of going to his new school, Cakra didn't even show up. He would be labeled as an ignorant and lazy student. And Cakra is willing to bet that he doesn't want that to happen.

Because of the drunk girl last night, whose name he didn't know, he only slept for two hours. If his grandmother hadn't woken him up this morning, he might have been late for school.

Cakra hopes that in his new school, he will be met with good people who accept him regardless of his strengths or weaknesses. Well, let's hope trouble doesn't come. He was tired of living his miserable life.

After his body was refreshed by the cold water, he hurriedly put on his school uniform. He didn't have much time, the teachers at his new school must not get the impression that he is always late.

Cakra was ready to go, his black backpack was already on his back. He only had to put on his shoes. The boy moved nimbly towards the special place for storing footwear. Then he was surprised because his favorite Converse shoes were not there.

Cakra glared, and he began to panic. Then he suddenly realized and froze for a while. After remembering that his shoes were carried by the girl last night, Cakra then sat on the floor. He patted his forehead repeatedly.

"Fool! Fool! Fool!" Cakra cursed at himself. He growled in annoyance. They were the only shoes he could wear. If it was like this, what should he do now?

There was no way he could go to school without shoes. Not wanting to waste time, the boy then started looking for his old shoes. It was the only way. He couldn't skip class on the first day of his new school.

"Finally found it," said Cakra, relieved when he found what he was looking for. He let out a long sigh and began to eat his old shoes, which were already broken and small. It was okay, better to wear them than not at all.

Time was running out, so he got up and went to the kitchen.

"Grandma, I'm leaving first, okay?" Cakra approached his grandmother, then shook her wrinkled hand.

"Have breakfast first, or you'll be weak at school."

"There's no time, grandma," Cakra replied while snacking on food made by his grandmother. Impatiently, Cakra immediately chewed the food. "I'm leaving now, Grandma, I'm afraid I'll be late. It's my first day at my new school. Bye."

He smiled and waved his hand at his grandmother. Then he turned around and ran out of the house, leaving his grandmother in the kitchen, who was still transfixed.

"Be careful on the road!"

"Ready, grandma!" he called back. The boy then approached his gray bicycle, which was parked in his narrow yard. He immediately pedaled his bike at full speed.

"Inez, wake up!" Despite being ignored several times, Ghea still hadn't given up on waking up her best friend from her deep sleep.

But to no avail, Ghea's efforts had not yielded any results. Inez had yet to open her eyes. If this was the case, Ghea understood that her best friend didn't sleep last night, or maybe she only slept for a few hours. Two answers that Ghea thought supported why Inez was still up this early in the morning.

Ghea let out a long sigh, she looked lazily at Inez, who was snoring, her cheek pressed against the table, while her hair looked untidy. One more thing that surprised Ghea was that Inez did not wear excessive powder, her lips looked naturally red without any lipstick. Very unlike the usual Inez.

"Nez, wake up!" Ghea didn't give up yet. She patted Inez's cheek a little harder than before. Instead of waking up as Ghea expected, Inez changed her head position.

"You're so annoying." Ghea grumbled. Not out of ideas, the girl with round eyes shook her best friend's body. "Come on, Nez, wake up, you'll regret it if you don't wake up. There's big news that you need to know."

"Noisy!" Inez shouted quite loudly while rubbing her ears.

"Okay, you asked for it!" said Ghea. She then got up from her seat and straightened her uniform for a moment. She looked back at Inez, who was sleeping. "Are you sure you don't want to come with me?"

There was no answer from Inez, so Ghea immediately deduced her own answer. She nodded firmly and pressed her lips together. "Okay, I'm going out to join the others, I don't care if you're alone in class. Bye!"

Ghea rushed out of the classroom to catch up with her classmates-especially the girls-who were gathered around screaming hysterically. Ghea was also curious about the others.

"Where are you!" Ghea, whose body was fairly small, immediately squeezed into the crowd. "How handsome is that boy?"

Ghea had managed to interrupt, and was now standing at the front. The girl stared ahead, fixing the position of her slumped glasses, then glared and smothered her mouth. Her breath caught for a moment.

"What? Seriously, that's the new student?" Ghea blinked in disbelief. Her smile widened. "No wonder everyone is hysterical, he's so handsome and cute!"

Ghea's gaze couldn't miss a boy who was walking slowly while looking around with a confused look in his eyes. Of course he was confused, being stared at by all the students made him feel awkward.

"I'm melting!"

"Damn, that boy is so handsome, I want to be his mistress too!"

"Does he have a girlfriend yet?"

"I think he's single."

Ghea looked at each of her classmates, who were screaming hysterically. Ghea smiled and looked back at the new student. "I'm not a hypocrite, I want to be his girlfriend too!" At the end of her sentence, Ghea giggled a little. Even though it was impossible to get that super handsome boy, it couldn't hurt, right?

"Inez, you'll regret not seeing this scene," Ghea muttered.

"What view?"

Ghea blinked her eyes, her head immediately moving to the left side when a familiar voice spoke up. Ghea's eyeballs almost popped out when Inez stood next to her with her arms crossed.

"Inez?" said Ghea. "Why are you suddenly here?"

One of Inez's eyebrows rose up, and she glared at Ghea uncomprehendingly. Inez let out a short breath. "You were so loud in class, I couldn't go back to sleep. What were you talking about? Why am I sorry?"

"Look at the front!" With a gesture of her chin, Ghea pointed at the boy. Inez frowned, then followed Ghea's gaze.

Inez's lopsided smile appeared at once. "New target."
