Chapter 5 Why does Everyone hates me.

Xavier and I went to the staff office and I submitted all my homeworks that needs to be submitted and then we left the office. We headed to the hallway where our lockers were located. Xavier's locker was a bit farther than mine so he went to his locker first to get his stuffs. The plan was for him to meet me back at my locker since our next class was in the same direction.

I took what I needed from my locker and I was about closing it. When the locker next to mine was slammed shut. I turned around only to find precillia and her group of friends standing there. What is she doing here it's not lunch time yet. "Hey there flair!" Precillia said with an evil smile.

"What do you want." I asked trying to be courageous but deep inside I knew am doomed. "So I got disgraced by Mrs. Clerk in history all because of you." She said. "But I didn't do anything at all." I replied. "Shut up. I even got laughed at by the whole class right." She said directing her question to her group of friends. "Yeah. Even the new student Chuckled." Emma Precillia's best friend replied.

"That wasn't my fault you know and I don't think they is need to get all worked up, precillia." I tried to convince her. But instead she gave me a five finger sting on my left chin.

How dare you tell me what to do. When I find it a big deal then it is a big deal. She got more angry and raised me up from the ground. People started to gather around. Some were taking photos while some were making videos. She used a flower branch to wrap round my neck and squeezed. I began to chock. As I wasn't able to breathe. Everyone around began to laugh as tears started dropping from my eyes. She squeezed harder as she noticed everyone was enjoying the show. All I could think of right now was to save myself because no one was going to save me from this torture. I was about using my powers when a voice spoke up.

Someone came to my rescue. Was it Scarlett, I couldn't see Clearly as my vision was blurred with tears. But Scarlett doesn't sound like a guy so who could it be. "Let her go." My savior said. But wait that voice sounds familiar. Was it Xavier?

"And who are you to tell me what to do?" Precillia asked. "I said let her go." My savior said again. Yeah, that's definitely Xavier. "You are almost choking her to death. Let her go." He added. " Who cares if she dies. She isn't worth living anyways. At least the world would be free from one hell of a weirdo." Precillia said with a smirk on her face and everyone around began to laugh. "The only weirdo I see here is you. No you are more like a coward." Xavier said. "Why don't you go and bully someone at your level." He added grabbing me from precillia's hold. The next thing I knew was that I was on the ground next to Xavier and was able to breathe again. How was I able free? That I don't know and I don't really care. I coughed as I took in a sharp breathe.

"Are you okay?" Xavier asked. I wasn't able to reply as I was trying to catch my breathw so I just nodded. "You've got a bruise on your neck. You should go and see the school nurse." Xavier said carrying me in his arms in bridal style not even giving me a chance to protest. Not that I want to anyways. "Thanks for helping me back there." I thanked him the moment we left the main building. "What are you? A glitch or something?" Xavier's next word hurt me but I didn't say anything. I just bent my head ignoring the pain on my neck. He noticed the sad look on my face and apologized. "Am sorry, I didn't meant it that way." " No need to apologise. It's actually true am more like a weirdo glitch." I replied chuckling but he didn't find that funny. He just looked away to the other direction.

We got to the nurse office and she lead us to an empty bed immediately we entered. "What happened this time Flair?" Miss Angela the nurse in charge asked. "She got strangled by a girl in the hallway." Xavier replied.

"This again Flair?, Why don't you ever fight back." She asked again. "One reason you were giving a power was to defend yourself not to let others bully you." She added. "She has powers too?, I thought she doesn't that was why she couldn't defend herself." Xavier said. "Everyone in Savage has a gift." Miss Angela replied. "And besides you are more stronger than her you know. She is a twin and you are a triplet."

"Then why don't you ever fight back?" Xavier asked me. "I have always asked the same question but she never replies." Miss Angela added while inspecting my bruise.

Xavier kept looking at me expecting some answer from. I didn't know what to tell him so I lied. "I tried but My powers are to weak." "How?" Miss Angela asked again unwrapping some bandages. "Do I have to wear that?" I asked trying to change the subject and luckily it worked. "Yes dear." She replied. I locked eyes with Xavier and he shooked his head. He knew I was trying to change the subject and thankfully he let it go.

"All done." Miss Angela said getting up from her position. "Thanks" I replied getting up from the bed. "Will she be able to go to class?" Xavier asked. "Sure." Miss Angela replied and we left the office.

"The second period is almost over." Xavier said as we stepped out of the office. "Right. You know, you shouldn't have stayed here with me. You should have gone to class. Today was your first day at school and I already made you miss a class." I said feeling guilty.

" Am I complaining. besides I stayed on my own accords." Xavier replied.

We kept walking towards the school main building when Xavier suddenly stopped. "We still have at least 30 minutes before the next class. So what do you wanna do." Xavier asked. "I don't know. Maybe go to the library or something." I suggested. "Too boring. Let's go and get some ice cream." He said holding my hands and dragging me towards the cafeteria not even giving me the chance to protest.

We got to the cafeteria and Xavier ordered for two ice cream but the ice cream lady refused. "It isn't lunch time yet. come back in the next three hours. You should be in your classroom learning. What are you doing out here." She asked looking annoyed and asked us to leave. I was grateful for that cause I have no money on me to buy ice cream But, avier refused saying that the ice cream is the only thing he wants now and not any lesson. He turned to the young lady in the shop who would either be in her early or middle 20s.

"Are you sure you want me to leave? Cause you seem to be so lonely here." Xavier asked looking at her in a flirtatious way.

And she fell for it, OMG. She was actually blushing. "I was willing to pay triple the price. But, since you want me to leave then fine, I will." Xavier added and we were about to leave when she stopped us. "Wait." She said with a shy smile on her face. "What flavor do you want." She asked and Xavier turned to look at me. "What flavor do you want?". He asked me. "Oh you just buy yours I don't have any money on me to pay for the ice cream." I replied. "Don't worry am paying." Xavier said with a broed smile on his face. "No no don't worry just buy yours am fine." I protest but he insisted. "Just tell me the flavor you want." He added. "Vanilla" I replied. He turned to the lady and gave her our other with a smirk on his face. "Strawberry flavor for me and a vanilla flavor for her, beautiful." He said making her blush harder. "Right away, handsome." She replied going in to the ice cream shop to get our orders.

She came back with our orders and handed it to us.

Xavier paid for the ice cream and as promised, he paid triple the price for each. We were about to leave when she asked. "Is she your girlfriend." Her question almost made me choke on my ice cream. "Are you okay?" Xavier asked in concern ignoring her question and I nodded my head in response.

"No no am not his girlfriend, we are just friends." I replied immediately I was able to stop myself from coughing.

"Well, that's good cause he deserves so much better than you." Her respond surprised me a lot. How can she even say that when she doesn't even know me.

"I mean a good looking guy like you deserves someone better than her. Someone as beautiful as you and also hot." She continued.

Ok I think am cursed or something. Why do I have to be hated by everyone.

"So who should I have dated. You?" Xavier asked looking pissed. Why should he be angry I was the one she insulted not him. "It would be my pleasure." She replied smiling not even noticing his pissed face.

"Am sick and tired of your face." He said grabbing my hand. "Let's go Flair." He said and we walked away towards the school main building. He was angry but why? Is not like am his girlfriend.

"You shouldn't have been rude to her." I said.

"Why do you let everyone to look down on you and bully you always." Xavier asked.

"Well, I don't know. Everyone hates me. Maybe I was cursed and like I said before am too weak to fight back." I replied with a sad smile.

"That's not true. I don't hate you." He replied. "Yeah." I smiled at him. "Thanks."

"Come to think of it. You are a triplet but I haven't seen your twins around. Why is that?" Xavier asked curiously.

"It's almost time for the next class let's head back before we miss another class again." I replied trying to change the subject.

He shook his head. Giving me a look that says he knows what am trying to do and I smiled.
