Chapter 4 The Princess and Damien

I was so surprised when I learnt that the herb that I'm searching for was in the princess garden, though I don't wish to cross her path but we are tired together with this conference and if anything go wrong I'll be the one to blame, so I decided to approach her for the herb, I hope she reason with me, I asked Leeho to lead me to the princess chamber to discuss with her, he's reluctant at first but after I've assured him that I'll be careful around her he had no choice but to lead me to the princess chamber, on getting to her chamber I met some maids outside her chamber and immediately they se

t their eyes on me they started drooling over me, not until I cleared my throat that they come back to their senses

DAMIEN; ( To the maids) Hi young ladies could you please inform your princess that I'm here to see the princess

1ST MAID; Sir are you in the wrong place cos our princess has never had a visitor for once

DAMIEN; ( I can see the surprise expression on the maids faces) I am here for Princess Kyung, just go in and tell her that Damien is here to see her, I noticed that the maids her scared to move from where they are and I can't help but wonder why everyone is so afraid of the princess to the extent that at the mention of her name the workers in the palace always shiver, though I have experience part of her behavior but that doesn't makes me to be afraid of her, she may be the princess but I can never trembled at her feet, when I noticed that none of them is ready to move from their position I decided to go in by myself, as I tried going towards the door one of the maid quickly run towards me and hold my hand, immediately I look at her to question why she stopped me since they are not ready to inform her, the maid realized she's holding my hand she quickly let go of my hand and quickly bow

MAID; I'm sorry for holding you sir, but it seems you don't know much about the princess, if you entered without being informed she can do what you never imagined

DAMIEN; I looked at the maid as she's talking, despite being in her natural look and in maid uniform I noticed some sparking resemblance between her and the princess, but while the princess has a crystal eyes, hers is so white with golden and she's really a pretty young lady, I wonder why there's so much resemblance between them, I decided to asked her name; What's your name

MAID; It's Kira sir

DAMIEN; Okay, Kira I need to see the princess because it's so urgent, I'm new here, and I came here for a purpose, so I have to see her

KIRA; Okay sir, since it's so important, let me just go and inform her( she makes attempt to open the door, but the shout from the other maids stopped her from doing so and she looked back to check the reason for the noise)

MAIDS; KIRA!!!!!??? You know the consequences of entering the princess room without being called? You know you're just recovering from the last punishment she gave you the last time you dare her???

DAMIEN; punishment??? Which punishment is that? I asked turning to the maids

A MAID; We dare not tell anybody or else we'll face a greater punishment and eventually got fired

DAMIEN; I really wish to know what the maids mean but they're not ready to voice out a word, however I noticed a red scar on the wrists of KIRA, I moved closer to get a clearer look, I took her hands to check wrist which shocked all of the maids including Kira, by the look of the scar it's from a rope tight tightly unto the wrist for a long time, and without being told I know this is part of the punishment the maids means, I don't know how long I've been staring at the wrists when I heard a voice behind me, a voice that I'm already getting familiar with, Princess Kyung voice

PRINCESS KYUNG; I know from the instant that you are a casanova going after every skirt, you're even trying to get under my maid skirt.....

DAMIEN; I was so shocked with that state, and in my entire life what I hated most is calling me whom I'm not, I turned to her angrily and called her moving towards her KANG KYUNG............ Everybody was shocked because this is the first time someone called the princess by her full name without adding her title to it.............

PRINCESS KYUNG POV

I was so shocked when I heard him called my by my full name, he didn't even respect me as the princess, I was so furious at him and I saw him coming closer to me, immediately he got to my front I raised up my hand to slap him but before I know him I saw my hand hanging in the air by him

PRINCESS KYUNG; How dare you call me by my full name, don't you have respect?( I yelled at him as I'm trying to free my hand from his grip)

DAMIEN; And how dare you say bullshit about me, Listen and listen well, I'm not your slave that you can treat the way you want, I there no humaneness in you? How could you be treating people as if they are some kinds of animals( he yelled back at me)

PRINCESS; ( I freed my hand from his grip and before he could know it I've already land a slap on his face) Next time in your life you'll mind how to mind your business( I turned to head back to my room, but what I heard him say makes me to stop on my track)

DAMIEN; I learnt that the emperor was not in support of your behavior, I need to let the emperor to know the kind of beast he had as a daughter

PRINCESS KYUNG; ,( I smirked) And you think father will believe a stranger over his daughter? And what prove did you have that I'm treating people like and animal???

DAMIEN; (smile) Well Kira here was a solid prove of your wickedness, did you think if I show the emperor what you did to her he won't believe me?

PRINCESS KYUNG; Well, you are not that dumb as I thought, but I can find excuse for it and my maids won't dare to tell on me cos they won't want to loose their jobs

DAMIEN; Just watch me how I'm going to prove you wrong( he grabbed Kira and made attempt to move out of my chamber, I can see how serious he is that he really meant what he said and I understand what my father will do if he find out about all my behavior I can't let him to do that, even if it will means begging him, I'm ready to do it

PRINCESS KYUNG; I quickly run to him and grab him by his hand, he's so shocked, but that's less of my concern now, I just have to act meek towards him before planning of how to deal with him later, Please don't report me to father, I promise to change for the better, I begged him forming puppy face

DAMIEN; Good, in as much you promise to always treat everybody equally, I'll let this pass by( he said as he released Kira's hand, I smirked, it seems you're not that wise, let me just put this act on for today, he won't expect what's coming)

PRINCESS KYUNG; It seems you came here to discuss something with me, did you mind telling me?

DAMIEN; Yeah, I came here for something important

PRINCESS KYUNG; Okay, come into my chambers let's discussed it.

DAMIEN POV

I was so surprised of the princess change of attitude, I think she's not that bad, she just need someone to correct her, we enter her chamber and I'm not so surprised how classy the chamber was furnished, that's what you expect from a princess chamber, we sat down on the couch of her living room facing eachother

DAMIEN; I'm here because of the conference we're going tomorrow

PRINCESS KYUNG; What about it, is there something you need from me for the conference?

DAMIEN; Yeah, I make a research about the plague and I've found a solution to it

PRINCESS KYUNG; Really? That's interesting, so what's the solution that you found?

DAMIEN; For the solution, I need this herb and I learnt that I can get it from you( I show her the picture on my phone, she look shocked but quickly cover it up with a smile

PRINCESS KYUNG; ( In her thought) how did this guy knows that I have this herb, is someone spying on me? This herb was planted in my secret garden for my personal use, how did he find out that I have this kind of herb, but since he's already aware no need in denying it, and moreover it was for our kingdom sake, I know he can never disclose how he find out)

I'm sorry for being quiet, I'm just wondering how you find out that I have the access to the herb, but never mind, you're right, this herb Is planted in my secret garden

DAMIEN; Wow, that's nice, I need it to provide solution to the plague

PRINCESS KYUNG; Okay, I'll come for you in an hour's time then we'll go together to get the herbs

DAMIEN; ( I can really see that the princess really have a kind heart and I am really happy to know that, I was on my feet ready to leave, I bade the princess goodbye and I leave her chamber) Okay I'll see you in an hour's time.

PRINCESS KYUNG

I breathe out in relief after Damien left my chamber, seriously no one has ever threatened me the way he did, but not to worry, he'll surely pay for it, he'll ever regret messing with me, but I seems I have to teach those maids of mine a lesson before the time I promise dumb Damien, MAIDS!!!!!( They quickly rush inside, shivering)

MAIDS; We're here ma

PRINCESS KYUNG; So, you've grew wings right? I fed you, clothe you and even give you shelter and you still have the gut to tell on me?

MAIDS; No ma, we never did that

PRINCESS; I'll let this one pass, next time you say a word out of me consider yourself being fired, am I cleared?

MAIDS; Yes ma

PRINCESS; Good, you are all dismissed, Kira you and Kenzie should wait behind, we're going out in an hour's time ( the remaining maids scurried out remaining Kira and Kenzie, those are the two maids that I always go out with, especially Kira, but she always violate my rules that why I always give here severe punishment) I enter my room to prepare... DAMIEN THERE'S IS A SURPRISE WAITING FOR YOU AT THE GARDEN, I said as I smile.....
