With a smile on her face, Jenna took a cab and went to a different hotel to spend the night with the money that Alessio had given her. He gave her enough money that could sustain her in a five star hotel for a week and she was grateful to him.
When she got to the room, she took her bath and laid down on the bed under the duvet but she was unable to sleep because her thoughts were occupied by Alessio. She kept tossing and turning, while thinking of the Adonis she encountered earlier.
"Alessio" She muttered his name to herself. She liked the way it sounded.
He was so nice to her even when they had just met. He was just like her knight in shining armor. If it weren't for him, only heavens know what that horrible man would have done to her.
Though Jenna saw the way Alessio shot the man without an ounce of emotion, she didn't feel scared, instead she felt safe with him.
She knew he wasn't an ordinary man as she could sense an aura of danger surrounding him. He had also strictly warned her to stay away from him and she knew the right thing to do was to do as he said and stay away from him but something about him interested her.
'He looks rich. He must be famous' Jenna thought. That face and body made him look like he had just walked out of a magazine.
Jenna rose from the bed and called the receptionist, requesting for a laptop. Soon enough, it was brought to her and without wasting time, she began searching on social media for him.
She knew it would be difficult to find him since she didn't know his last name but that didn't make her give up. She was determined on finding him, stalk him even.
When she didn't find him on any socials, she resulted to the search engines.
Jenna typed in Alessio and immediately, his picture popped up, making her giggle excitedly. She began scrolling through the page.
"He's a business man. Nice" She commented then she went ahead to search for his company and coincidentally, they were in need of an employee.
This was her opportunity to be close to him!
Jenna quickly applied for the position. She was killing two birds with one stone. Not only had she found her saviour, she had also successfully submitted a job application which was one of the major reasons why she came to New York in the first place.
With a bigger smile on her face, Jenna laid back down on the bed and this time, she fell asleep immediately.
Since Jenna was a little girl, she had always been maltreated by her step mother. Her step mother would beat her and starve her for the littlest reason. So she spent her whole life saving so she could leave the house and be independent. When she had gotten enough money, she fled without looking back.
Alessio was the first person to show her care so naturally, she unconsciously began to lean towards him.
Jenna had thought that she was quite unlucky given all the incidents that took place since she arrived in New York, but her encounter with Alessio made her forget about all other bad experiences.
Was she in love with him?
Jenna shook her head to erase the thought from her mind. She couldn't possibly be in love with him, or could she?
She had heard about love at first sight but she never believe it and found it ridiculous but the way in which Alessio made her heart race, she began to question herself if truly she had fallen in love with him.
But Jenna was quite unsure if he was in a relationship. She had figured out that he was a private person as the media didn't say anything relating to his private life.
Jenna began to doubt the possibility of them being together. Had he ignored her because he was in a relationship? Or was there some other reason?

A splash of blood touched Alessio's hand and he almost laughed. Perfect. Just perfect.
"You're a beast! Cold and emotionless!" Rob cursed as Alessio cut another of his finger, leaving him with only two.
"Took you long enough to realize." Alessio chuckled mockingly.
He withdrew the knife and slowly twirled it around his finger. Rob's eyes followed him, in fear that Alessio would stab him where he didn't expect.
"It was fun playing chase with you." Alessio said nonchalantly, as if no longer interested in Rob then he took a step back and flung the knife away before he brought out an army knife from his breast pocket, making sure that Rob saw it.
Rob trembled in fear. The shock and agony in his eyes were never mistaken. It could never be.
"Please spare my life!" Rob cried out loud. Reality finally dawn on him that he had messed with the wrong person. No matter where he hid, Alessio still managed to find him.
"Too late." Alessio said.
Rob opened his mouth to speak but Alessio never gave him a chance as his hands tightened around the knife before he drove it down, right in the middle of his throat.
The man gurgled his last breath as he blood splattered everywhere and on Alessio, making him to shake his head in disgust before finally spitting on Rob.
Alessio stretched his hands forward and Dimitri exchanged the knife with a white handkerchief which he used to wipe off the dead man's blood from his Armani suit.
This was exactly what they fed on. The fear and death of they enemies.
Some say they were ruthless, cruel, heartless and disgusting human beings. He couldn't agree less but he preferred barbarism better. He was a killer after all.
Alessio was born this way. From his first breath till the last, this was who he was. An unsympathetic killer and he could never change. He had come to accept it.
This was the main reason why he never let anyone close to him. He had no family and no friends either. And he hoped it'd remain the same. But things didn't always go as plan.
