Chapter 8 The unknown, taken unaware.

Who are those people Benedith asked Scandious while staring at them.

They came with their horses which made Benedith believe, they came from a far place. Their hands contain swords and their bodies were covered with black making it hard for people to recognize them.

All this while, Scandious mind was occupied with how to approach them without a fight occurring. He silently prayed that nothing should happen to his family, they are all he got in life.

"If something should happen it should be me not them he silently prayed".

We will conquer them Benedith assured him, thanks he replied staring at them through the window.

"Who are you and what brought you to my house? Mr Zack asked drawing near t them. At one point, he stopped walking and stood at a particular place.

We are here for the Crown Crince their master said jumping down from the horse, you are at the wrong place Mr. Zack replied confidently.

If I may ask, why are you looking for him he asked staring at them strangely, you are not meant to know, just provide him their leader replied and draw out his cutlass.

Seeing they meant every word they say, Mr. Zack became scared that something bad might happen to Scandalous.

"Bring him out there leader commanded, immediately two warriors replied rushing out about to take a step.

"Where do you think you're going?"

People don't enter my house without my permission Mr Zack said blocking their way.

Benedict came out dressed in black, her long hair packed in polythene. Who are you? the leader asked about seeing her.

Am whom you think am I she replied confidently. you don't know us neither how dangerous we are a voice said from the mist of the high-killers, same with me Benedith replied to them with the same tone.

I will advise you to go back to wherever you're coming from, you came to the wrong place she said with authority and confidence, let us see what their leader replied.

"Immediately they charged at Benedith and her Father".

An arrow was shoot at Benedith which she dodged, she was charged into a fighandch the rest followed immediately in fighting her.

She was fighting with ropes, and knives, doing some which made them kill themselves at of mistake.

An arrow hit her left hand causing her to shout out in pain but kept fighting not ready to be the loser.

Scandious came out staring at them narrowly, stopping the leader who ordered them. All weapons were withdrawn right away.

" Follow us and there will be no fight nor shedding of blood their leader instructed Scandious. If I don't he challenged him, then we will follow the hard way the leader replied".

Scandious walked to Mr zack whos staring at the high-killers with fear, please I want you to hide somewhere he whispered to his hearing which he agreed, he plead with Scandaious to keep his daughter safe before sticking out.

Go back and tell them am not coming he said daring them in the face. "Do you think you can live this time? who saved you years ago won't save you today I promise you, you are dying that I will make sure of" the leader said with authority.

As Mr Zack was walking with fear, this is the first time he's seeing people as dangerous as they are which made him feel more scared.

He saw somebody running in his direction with a sword sweating prodigiously, he became more scared thinking he was part of them, maybe they are here to kill me he thought.

"Pleased don't kill me he plead shivering with fear".

You don't need to fear, am Thaius, Scandious friend.

"I have been "secretly guiding" him from the day I found out he is alive.

Am aware they came to attack him and am there heading too.

Please follow this direction you will meet a man, tell him am the one who directed you to him Thaius said hurriedly, please don't allow anything to happen to them Mr. Zack said slowly. I will do my best he assured him and ran away immediately.

Tell them to be careful Mr. Zack said and turned to look at Thaius but saw nobody, he shook his head and continue his journey.

"Helpless children he muttered".

Reaching the place, he saw Scandious keep fighting nonstop, he joined them immediately and did a left kick which send one to the floor, he took his weapon and charge towards their leader.

They were fighting like angry captains who have been looking for ways to vent their anger on each other, finally, I have seen you be ready to die in my hands today their leader said to Thaius who didn't bother to reply to him.

Trying to stab him, he kicked him with his leg which made him let go of his neck immediately.

Thaius picked a knife from the floor and charge towards him which he dodged holding his hand.

"You think you can kill me he asked Thaius and Smirke at him".

They were fighting about who will have the knife when he saw Benedith beating up her body bloody, he left the knife and ran to her stabbing the man(high-killer) in the back.

Rest he said to her in a hurry and ran and started fighting another person.

The fight continued leaving Scandious with different wounds, blood dripping from his body which he don't bother himself for.

Bend Thaius Shouted at the top of her voice seeing a knife thrown at Scandious, he was fast enough to dodge it making the knife stab his opponent (High-killers).

"Within an hour, they brought down the warriors who were assigned to help the High-killers".

"Only a few of the High-killers left".

They were fighting skillfully, the high killers beat Thaius up so that all he can was plead for mercy.

Scandious made sure he was around Thaius keeping an eye on him, he made sure he covered him up by fighting anybody who attacks him.

The high-killers became frightened seeing how Scandious is killing them with no mercy, they ran for their lives leaving their horse behind.

Thaius who was bleeding seriously removed his clothes and tired on his wounded hand which kept bleeding causing him to groan in pain.

Let's go Thaius muttered walking slowly, they got to the house he's hand was treated by Benedith, take it easy he said out of pain.

Sorry, she muttered bandaging it. Done she voiced out stepping back, and staring at her work she smiled brightly, I did perfect work she complemented herself.

"How did you know me? Scandalous who have been quietly asked.

Thus explained how they meet and turn into friends, how they tried to murder him to how he became his guiding angel from the day he learned he was alive he conclude while Scandious only chuckled.

"I want to be alone he said and stood up existing their mist, be careful before they capture you Benedith shouted at him".

Be quiet her Father cautioned her, I was just warning him like a caring sister, I want him to live but sleeping is what won't take from him she said with seriousness causing everyone to laugh, am with you he sleeps a lot Thaius agreed with her.

"So you two are now partners? Me Zack questioned them".

I need to check on the king, I called him but he didn't pick up my calls which is unlike him, he even turn off his phone who knows something might have happened at the palace he said, are you going with this your wounded arm? Benedict asked, borrow me yours will accept Thaius replied.

You two are something else, when going to the palace wear something that will cover your wounded hand Mr Zack informedThaius.

Make sure nobody traces you, you can disguise yourself when coming back you know they will be looking for the prince to knowers we're about Mr. Zack added, I will do as you said Thaius replied.

"The queen became so angry on hearing the mission failed" she ordered the informants to be beheaded which was carried out by the palace guards she selected to do the job.

One of her Informants managed to escape. The ordinary simple mission they can't carry you she thought. As she was contemplating walking feeling restless, the king walked in with his guards following him

Are you alrighty? he asked staring at her Intensively, yes my king am perfectly alright you should have ordered my presence not disturbing yourself, forgive me for making his highness worried she said bowing lightly.

Stand up my precious queen, I want us to visit a place he said, where the queen questioned immediately looking frightened.

Are you scared of something? the king asked, no why should I be she replied, then prepare in a few hours we will be going the King said, and left her room.

Why is all this happening now the coronation is approaching? , where is he taking me to she asked herself.

After much thinking about it, she came up with an idea, I will pretend to be seriously sick then he will have no other choice than to go without me.

Next time I will make it up to him she said smiling. Remembering the Crown Prince her countenance changed to an angry one.

Scarlett is in her room charting with her friends when she heard voices, straight away she hides her phone pretending like one who's in a deep sleep. I will catch her today, She thinks she cants cheat on my Dad without being caught by me Scarlett thought with hatred towards her Mother concerning her attitude.

Her mother entered her room and covered her with the thick blue duvet, goodnight my princess she muttered an off her room light and left for her room

Discovering she was out of sight, Scarlett stood up from her bed and peeped through the keyhole.

"There she saw her mum with the man she claimed as her business partner, nodding slowly she brought out her phone ready to video them".

As they were having their fun, the door clicked open and Mr. Williams walked in with his briefcase, devoted to their business, they didn't notice his presence till water landed on their body.

What! Mrs. Williams shouted on seeing her husband, the young man took his clothes and ran out of the house immediately leaving his wristwatch on the floor.

so this is what you have been doing in my house? Mr Williams asked looking shocked.

Not saying any other word he walked to his room and shut the door crying silently.

On the other hand, Mrs Williams was standing still shocked by what just happened now.

She can still remember clearly when he said her has a business trip today which made her invite her sex mate.

Still not able to understand what happened, she kept staring at nothing in particular wearing her clothes wrongly. Not able to admit it was her husband she saw she pinch herself to know if she was dreaming.

Seeing she was not dreaming, tears started flowing, slowly she sat down on the floor and bowed her face weeping like a baby. What have I done to myself? she asked crying with regrets.
