Chapter 3 New discovery concerning the hidden

"Your Highness someone is here to see you", the chief guard informed the king who was sitting on his throne.

let him in he replied after a minute of silence.

The king is known to be a man of his word.

His about 189 cm in height with a pointed nose, his hair was curled, and his wrist contains a golden bangle.

The young man politely introduced himself. For almost five (5) minutes nobody spoke a word, rather, they kept staring at each other.

Since the incident which occurred years ago happened, the king was left miserable, always frowning his face and angry at any little thing which is unlike him.

"He felt empty living without him a beloved son".

"He loves his son so much because of how obedient he is, he takes care of him as his father and obeys him as the King".

"He sees his father's states of happiness as his priority".

Having second thoughts, he decided to employ him at the palace.

You can start work tomorrow he said with a disdainful look.

Thanks my King, the young replied whose name is "Thais".

Suddenly he's eyes went to his wrist, there he saw a golden bangle.

Paying attention to it, he discovered he have seen it on his son's wrist before, Thaius who noticed how he was staring at him shifted uncomfortably.

" Puzzled"

He decided to ask how he got the golden bangle.

"Is fine he commented".

If I may ask who did you get the bangle I like it he asked, watching his countenance.

"It was given to me on my 20th birthday as a gift by my best friend.

Where is your friend? , can I see him is like you two love each other from the way you sound the kind said.

"Hmmm".

We love each other but he's dead he muttered his eyes teary.

"We have this wristband as a symbol of our friendship till death departs us, but I couldn't bring myself to remove it".

" I miss him so much, I feel like he's with me anytime am wearing it" which is why I can't remove it he replied.

Seeing his tears made the king's heart soften.

Having been in such a situation made him pity the poor young man.

Is okay, harming yourself won't bring him back to life, rather it will affect your health he console him. Seeing how much he loves his friend, how much he cherished him, and how much he misses him, he can conclude; he truly loves this friend.

Did he have a family the king found himself asking.

After spending time with the King, he decided to take his leave which the King reminded him to be careful.

When he left, the King saw a picture and a piece of paper at the place he sat. What's that he asked walking towards it to find out the content.

Reaching there, he saw the picture facing down.

It have falling from his pocket when bringing out his hanky he thought picking it up.

"What ! he shouted throwing it away"

He looked to see if someone is looking, but seeing nobody is around, he slowly picked the picture staring at it. This is my son he muttered hugging the picture.

Thinking about it, he realized his son is the friend he has been talking about, poor thing he said hugging the picture.

Gradually, he open the paper his heart beating fast, after reading the content of the letter, he discovered he can't see clearly as a result of tears.

He wiped instantly, they are best friends indeed he thought after reading it, know I know why he was like that earlier.

He walked to his throne and sat down contemplating what happened.

Remembering what he said earlier, his face brighten up.

I have somebody ready to protect me and see me as a father, he remembers Thaius saying those words to him which made him feel happy.

Why didn't he bring him home all this while? , or even show him to me.

Well, he must have his reasons for doing so he concluded.

All this while, he didn't know the Queen was watching him. He looked to his left-hand side there he saw the Queen staring at him.

"Coughing", he smiled at the Queen. Are you looking for something he questioned, No, she replied hurriedly heading to her chamber.

They must be discussing something serious she thought furiously.

Maids the Queen called, my Queen they replied bowing their heads, tell the chief guard his presence is needed immediately she ordered them.

I must find out what they were discussing she thought nodding her head.

Good evening sir Scandious greeted Mr Williams who's seen, sitting in the sitting room reading an article. He went to the kitchen, and there, he kept the big bag he was holding which contains foodstuff and fruits.

He arranged them at their appropriate positions. He closed the door and went to wash Scarlett's dirty wears which she kept for him, not that the washing machine is not working, she just want to see him suffer which she has been doing.

Each day he is meant to wash the masters, and his wife, Scarlett wears an iron before returning them to their room, "failure to do so, he will be forced to cut the big garden grass with a blunt cutlass.

"He will carry out the punishment "for a month", with no water nor Food".

Seeing his perfectly okay made her heart bitter, she wasn't expecting to see him walking or even breathing.

"Did he trick me"?

I will get to the root of this, she thought glaring at her food.

Is anything the matter they asked, seeing how she was staring at her food.

Scarlett, they called but got no response. They tap her seeing she's not responding to them. I hate him she said confusing them more.

You know she's lying and you allowed her to leave, is that how you train her? he asked not okay with what he witnessed.

She's not a baby anymore let her be, whatever that's bothering her am sure she will take care of it.

Eat up he heard his wife saying, putting more food on his plate.

I've lost my appetite with this nasty behavior, tell me to go to my room that's want I want he said like one requesting permission from his master, why are you sounding this way his wife questioned.

Have the food all to yourself Mr. Williams informed and walked away.

This man has come back with his trouble, I told that foolish Secretary not to allow him to return.

Anyway, I hope he travels back soon, I don't know how long I will keep up with this annoying behavior she thought.

"I don't care if they eat or not".

I must have my meal nothing will change that, you can starve if you want I don't care she added with her mouth filled with nothing but food.

She finished her food and stood up, this food is delicious she said licking her lips.

Scandious she shouted his name but got no reply, where is that stupid boy she asked, lead by example a voice replied to her.

She pretended she didn't hear anything, but the voices repeated it for the second time.

Did he just talk back at me she asked touching her chest "Somebody is leaving this house today she shouted heading to his room" to deal with him.

"Where is that ungrateful boy", she shouted and open his door but didn't see him, where did he go? she asked angrily.

"Ohh!, he has grown wings" Wait for me she said, storming out of the room furiously.

Searching the places she have in mind he could be, but didn't see him she became scared, where did he go she thought her heart beating fast.

"Has he run away? No! she disagreed instantly, if he run away who will do those chores, I can't even think of entering the kitchen talkless of preparing food".

Now he's around all this is happening" she thought wishing there is a way her husband can leave the house, she would have been the happiest person on earth.

Why now? what should I do she asked no one in particular, looking like someone who's in a big problem.

I can't leave like this, I will make him leave this house. I can't be feeling uncomfortable in my own marital house while he's happy, enjoying himself Mrs Williams thought with determination.
