Chapter 4 Accident

He accentuated his thoughts. He got down from the car and strode towards his office building. His aura was so hard to resist as everyone twirled to look at him. His staffers welcomed him but he didn't stop to acknowledge them. His assistant was waiting for him at the door of his elevator.

" Good morning sir". He greeted and received Alexander suitcase.

" Hmmm". Alexander responded and they entered the elevator going directly to the president's office which was on the twentieth floor.

The employees were all relieved after the president left.

"There goes the demon king". Someone muttered in the crowd and all the employees shattered around to do their business.

After stepping out of the opened Elevator. He strolled towards his office with his assistant trailing after him. He pulled open the door with the name president wade engraved in a golden slate. His luxurious office was decorated with gray and white. His desk was made with raven furniture sitting in front of the windows looking out to the busy street. He walked majestically to his swiveling chair and sat on it. His assistant dropped his suitcase on the shiny surface of the table and stood upright waiting for further instructions.

" Get me a cup of black coffee. Now!". He requested in a cold voice.

" Yes sir". His assistant replied as he gulped. He instantly left the office to the break room.

" James". A delicate voice called. When he was in the hallway leading to the break room.

James was Alexander's assistant. He was tall and good-looking with his cute dimples and twinkling blue eyes. His dark hair fell and lay over his eyebrows. He was the desire of most female employees in the company but sadly he was already taken.

He turned upon hearing his name and saw his girlfriend Molly.

Molly was the supervisor of the advertising department in Wade's enterprise. She was referred to as the diva in the company. She had nice curves and slender legs. Her skin was flawless and her blonde hair freely waved along as she walked.

They have been courting for three years and James has planned to pop the question. He already has things in place but his demon boss would not give him a break.

" Darling". She called when she got closer to him.

" Why are you in such a hurry"?.

" The president's in an awful mood. I need to make his coffee now". He said hurriedly.

" That demon is always in an awful mood. I came to tell you that I have a meeting outside the office in twenty minutes. I will see you later love". She said while plopping her hands on his neck.

He yanked her closer as he felt hot kisses on his collar bone. Then she unexpectedly bit him hard.

" ouch". He yelled. " What was that for?".

She hauled away from him and smirked. " That's for forgetting what today means to us. You jerk". She stepped on his foot hard and Walked away like a furious tigress.

" What?. Wait, babe". He yelled but she didn't acknowledge him.

' what day is it?'. He thought.

" Oh my Gosh". He abruptly exclaimed. " I am so dead. the demon is going to eliminate me".

He instantly ran to the break room.

While in Alexander's office. He concentrated on the laptop in front of him as his fingers moved rapidly on the keyboard. The documents on his desk were neatly organized, not a single one out of place. He has been waiting for James for the past ten minutes. His phone buzzed and the click sounds in the office ceased. He reached his right hand and picked up the phone. He stared at the caller's name flashing on the screen.

" Samantha". He answered. His tone was sluggish.

" Big b...brother. There's a..accident. I am in the hospital now". Sam said in a quivering voice.

" What accident?, Which hospital?, Are you okay?". He quickly got up and headed for the door.

" It's E..Ella. Alex, she's badly hurt. She's in the operating room now. It doesn't look good. Come quickly". She was frightened.

Alexander stood frozen at the door. He could almost hear the fast beating of his heart against his rib cage. His hand unexpectedly turned sweaty.

" Hello. Alex. Can you hear me". Sam cried out on the other side of the phone.

" Which hospital. Tell me now". His voice thundered in the quiet hall and all the employees on the twentieth floor froze in fear.

" Who is getting fired today". Someone managed to mutter.

" It's the one close to the central mall". Sam sobbed.

He terminated the call and saw his assistant in front of him with his head downward. James's body trembled and he could almost smell his fear. 'I am so dead'. He thought.

" Cancel all my meetings today". Alexander ordered while walking hurriedly towards the elevator and his packing area.

James's head jerked up as he followed closely behind. " But President the emissaries from china will be here soon".

" Deal with it". He closed his car door and speed out into the busy street.

' At least he didn't kill me for delaying his coffee'. He signed. Then he recalled what Nolly said. He took out his phone to search his reminder list and he finally understood why Nolly was angry at him. " I am certainly going to die today". He whimpered. 'It was their third anniversary. How could he have missed that?'. He sighed and sauntered towards the office thinking about how he was going to coax his angry cat.

While in the hospital. Samantha was pacing around the door of the operating room. Alexander's parents were sitting in the chairs around.

" Samantha, stop pacing, you are making me anxious". Hannah said. Her hand was already sweaty.

" Mum. I am so worried.". Sam said while walking to a vacant chair. She plopped on the chair tiredly.

" Ella's going to be fine". Jacob comforted.

" Where Is she?". A deep voice howled from the other end of the hall. Alexander walked in breathing heavily. He had run from the entrance of the hospital.
