Alpha King Vlad sat at the head of the long dining table, his presence commanding and powerful. Madeleine's parents, two simple humans, sat nervously at either side of him, their eyes downcast.
"Your Majesty," Madeleine's mother said, her voice shaking. "We are humbled by your invitation."
Vlad smiled at her, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "The pleasure is mine," he said. "But I did not ask for you tonight to talk about politics. I came to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage."
Madeleine's parents looked at him in shock, their mouths agape. Madeleine herself sat frozen in her seat, her heart pounding in her chest.
"M-my daughter?" Madeleine's father stammered. "Your Majesty, we are but simple humans. We have nothing to offer you."
Vlad waved his hand dismissively. "I do not care about your status, only that Madeleine is my mate. And I want to celebrate our union with a grand wedding, befitting the future queen of my kingdom."
Madeleine's parents were thunderstruck, their faces pale with fear. They knew they couldn't refuse the Alpha King's request, but they also knew that their daughter would be trapped in a world she didn't belong to.
Madeleine sat at the table, her eyes wide with horror as she listened to their conversation. She couldn't believe what was happening. She had never wanted to be a part of this world, and now she was being forced into it against her will.
"Your Majesty," she spoke up, her voice trembling. "I appreciate your offer, but I cannot accept. I do not wish to be a part of your kingdom."
Vlad turned his gaze towards her, his expression darkening. "You do not have a choice in the matter, little one," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "You are mine, and I will not let you go."
Madeleine felt tears welling up in her eyes as she looked at the man she was being forced to marry. She felt her heart fill with anger towards him, and she knew she had to find a way to escape his grasp before it was too late.
Madeleine stood up from her seat, her body shaking with fear and anger. She glared at Vlad, refusing to back down. "I will never be yours," she said firmly. "I will never marry you, and you can't force me to do so."
Vlad's eyes narrowed, his lips curling into a snarl. "You will do as I say," he growled. "You have no choice in this matter. You are my mate, and I will have you."
Madeleine's parents sat in stunned silence, unsure of what to do or say. They had never seen the Alpha King so angry before, and they knew that they were in grave danger.
But Madeleine refused to be intimidated. She looked Vlad straight in the eyes, her own gaze burning with determination. "I will never be your mate," she said. "I would rather die than be with you."
Vlad's face twisted with rage, and he stood up from his seat, towering over Madeleine. "You will regret those words," he hissed. "I will make sure you pay for your defiance."
With that, he turned on his heel and stormed out of the room, his guards following closely behind him. Madeleine's parents sat in silence, their faces pale with fear. They knew that their daughter was in grave danger now, and they had no idea how to protect her.
But Madeleine was not one to give up easily. She knew that she had to find a way to escape from Vlad's clutches, and she was willing to do whatever it took to ensure her freedom. With a determined look on her face, she turned to her parents and said, "We need to leave this place. Now."
My heart was pounding in my chest as my family and I hurriedly packed our belongings. I couldn't believe that my life had taken such a drastic turn. The man I had never met before, let alone spoken to, was now claiming me as his mate and refusing to let me go.
The thought of being trapped in his world, forced to marry him and bear his children, was enough to make me want to scream. I had never wanted any of this, and I couldn't understand why the Alpha King was so insistent on claiming me.
As we packed our bags, I could feel the weight of the situation bearing down on me. We had to leave quickly, before the Alpha King's guards found us. My parents were terrified, and I could see the fear in their eyes as they frantically searched for anything that they could carry with them.
But even as we packed, I couldn't shake the feeling that we were running towards something much worse than what we were leaving behind. The Alpha King was powerful, and he had a whole army of guards at his disposal. What if they caught us? What if we never made it out alive?
Despite my fears, I knew that I had to keep moving forward. I couldn't let the Alpha King win. I had to find a way to escape from his grasp and live my life on my own terms.
As we made our way towards the door, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. My heart skipped a beat as I realized that we had been caught. The door was thrown open, and several men stepped inside. They were dressed in black, their faces obscured by hoods.
"Come with us," one of them growled, grabbing my arm roughly.
I struggled against him, trying to break free, but he was too strong. I looked to my parents for help, but they were being held back by the other men.
Tears streamed down my face as I was dragged from the carriage and led into the forest. I had no idea where we were going or what was going to happen to me.
Finally, we came to a clearing, and I saw him. The Alpha King, Vladimir, stood before me, his eyes blazing with fury.
He stood in the doorway, his eyes blazing with anger. "I told you that you would regret defying me," he growled. "And now, you will pay the price."
I felt a surge of fear coursing through my body as he advanced towards us. But I stood my ground, refusing to back down.
"You can't force me to marry you," I said firmly, my voice trembling with fear. "I won't let you."
The Alpha King let out a menacing laugh. "Oh, my little mate," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "You have no idea what you're up against. You will be mine, whether you like it or not."
As he advanced towards me, I could feel my heart racing in my chest. I tried to back away, but the man behind me held me firmly in place.
"Please," I begged. "Let me go. I don't want to be here."
But Vladimir just laughed, his expression cruel. "You don't have a choice,"
I felt a sense of despair wash over me. I had tried to escape, but it seemed that there was no way out of this nightmare. As Vladimir approached me, his hand outstretched, I closed my eyes and prepared for the worst.
As I stood there, trembling with fear, Vladimir stepped forward and grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him. His eyes burned into mine, and I could feel his hot breath on my face.
"You will be my mate, Madeliene," he said, his voice low and menacing. "And if you or your family try to run away again, I will destroy you all. Do you understand?"
I nodded, too terrified to speak. I knew that I was trapped, that there was no way out of this.
"Good," he said, releasing my chin. "Now, get ready for the wedding tomorrow. I expect you to be the most beautiful bride that anyone has ever seen."
With that, he turned and left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
I stumbled to my room, my heart heavy with despair. I couldn't believe that this was happening to me. I had always dreamed of finding true love and living a happy life, but now all of my hopes and dreams were shattered.
As I entered my room, I saw that it was filled with jewelries and wedding dresses, all sent by Vladimir. The wedding dress was a beautiful princess gown with a huge headdress, glittering with diamonds and precious stones.
I collapsed onto my bed, my tears flowing freely. I couldn't believe that I was being forced to wear this dress, to marry a man that I barely knew, and to spend the rest of my life trapped in this world.
But as I looked at the dress, I couldn't help but be struck by its beauty. The intricate lacework, the shimmering sequins, and the glittering jewels all came together to create a masterpiece of a dress. It was truly fit for a queen, and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement at the thought of wearing it.
But that excitement was quickly drowned out by the fear and despair that I felt. I couldn't go through with this wedding. I couldn't marry a man that I didn't love, a man that I was terrified of.
As I lay there, lost in my thoughts, I heard a soft knock on my door. I wiped away my tears and tried to compose myself before calling out.
"Come in."
The door opened, and my mother walked in, her eyes red and puffy from crying. She came over and sat down beside me, taking my hand in hers.
"I'm so sorry, Madeliene," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I never wanted any of this for you."
I nodded, unable to find the words to speak. We sat there in silence for a few minutes, holding each other's hands, before my mother stood up.
"I'll leave you to get ready," she said softly. "But know that I love you, and I'll always be here for you."
With that, she left the room, leaving me alone once again.
As I looked at the dress and the jewelries, I couldn't help but wonder what my life would be like if I had never met the Alpha King. Would I be happy, living a normal life with someone that I loved? Or was this my fate, to be trapped in this world forever?
I knew that I had to make a decision soon. The wedding was only a day away, and I had to decide whether to go through with it or to try and escape.
But for now, all I could do was cry and wait for the nightmare to end.
