Chapter 7 Wedding Night

Angus left the family estate from the age of eighteen and lived alone in the huge old castle.

The car stopped at the gate of the old castle, then Alan opened the door for Lina, "Madam, this is your residence from now on, please."

For this huge castle, Lina just praised in her heart, but did not show very surprised, because after all, it was way too normal for Angus, the heir of the Bryan family, to have a huge castle."Thanks." Lina said to Alan, and was then led into the castle by Robert, the butler here.

"Madam, I am the housekeeper here, you can call me Robert, sir has ordered you to stay next door to his bedroom, I will take you there." Robert looked at Lina with some embarrassment.

Lina was a little surprised by this arrangement, but very satisfied.

"Madam, sir may not come back tonight. You are tired all day. Please rest early."

"Okay, I got it, thanks Robert." Lina said with a smile.

She knew that Robert was worried about her, after all, generally on the wedding day, the bride and groom should spend time together, but that's just the average couple. There was just working together between them.

Now Angus must be comforting Annie, because no matter how generous a girl is, there is no way she can tolerate her lover, married to someone else.

In fact, Lina guessed correctly.

Angus, at this time, was on his way to Annie's house.

Annie's maid had just called to tell him that she had been drinking a lot of wine at home alone, with Angus on her lips the whole time.

Angus walked inside with a stony face. He knew Annie the year he met Lauren, but had never heard that she could drink.

It must be because of his wedding!

Annie heard the maid's voice coming from the door and immediately picked up the bottle and pretended to drink a lot.

"Angus, I feel so bad..." Annie cried, clutching the bottle, and tears fell like a stream as she sat aggrieved on the floor.

"I'm sorry, Annie." Seeing Annie in this state, Angus squatted down and heartily wiped away the tears.

Hearing Angus' voice, Annie looked up while her tears couldn't stop falling down, and hugged Angus.

"Angus, what are you doing here? I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that." Annie pretended to blame herself and pushed Angus away, "Today is your wedding day with Lina, you shouldn't have come to me."

Annie's aggrieved look was like a poor little rabbit.

Angus had mixed feelings, and until his marriage to Lina ended, he couldn't do anything but feel guilty.

"Annie, don't be like that, she's not important. Give me time, I'll make it." Angus said gently.

"Do you love me?" Annie suddenly looked into Angus' eyes.

Angus didn't expect her to ask this question out of the blue. He should have said I love you, but why couldn't he say it?

Seeing Angus' hesitation, Annie reached around his neck and sent her red lips up.

"Annie, you're drunk." Angus tilted his head to the right side just as her lips were about to touch his, then picked her up from the ground, "I'll take you to your room to sleep."

Held in Angus' arms, a smug smile appeared at the corner of Annie's mouth.

Inside the bedroom

Angus put Annie down and was ready to get up when he was hugged by Annie.

"Can't I? Angus, my heart hurts and I want you! I want you to treat me tenderly like you did that night!" Annie clung to him.

"Annie, don't be capricious, be good and wait for me to marry you." Angus pulled her hands away from her hug and then covered the quilt, "Get a good rest and I'll be right here with you."

Annie knew it was impossible to get Angus to possess her today, but she had achieved another goal.

But how angry and sad Lina would be if she knew that her husband was here with her instead of going home on her wedding night.

Thinking of this, Annie good eyes closed, Angus must love her, otherwise, would not hear that she drinks to accompany her. Marrying to him was only a matter of time.

While at this time inside the ancient castle of Angus, Lina had gone to bed early, since after she woke up, she had to look for work, and she needed an income before she could get her dad's shares back and pick up Dill from Celta's castle.

Dill hadn't fully recovered yet, and alone there, he's bound to be bullied by the Celta family!

The next morning, Lina arrived at NK Group to apply for a job.

This was what she had looked for on the job site last night.

Although she and Dill lived in poverty all these years, she was very smart and talented when it came to learning. Lina started with a scholarship in high school and worked her way up to college, only to drop out of college after only two years because Dill and Nicole had a serious car accident, which made her unable to graduate from college.

She didn't know if she could get into the company with this degree, but she had to try, didn't she? Because she needed the money.

The interviewer, after asking her a lot of questions about design, told her to go back and wait for the notice.

But Lina, who had long learned to read people's faces, knew very well that this company was not going to hire her and that she would need to find another company that would hire her.

"Hey, are you Lina?" A male voice came and called out to Lina.

Lina heard a voice, stopped in her tracks, and turned around to see a familiar face.

"Lau, Mr. Lauren?" Lina looked at him uncertainly.

Lauren happily hugged her, "That's right Lina, it's me!"

"Why are you here? I did go to the school to look for you, but, the teacher said that you dropped out." Lauren's eyes glittered, not expecting the girl she had been looking for so long to meet in her own company.

"I ..." Lina laughed a little awkwardly.

Lauren asked her to sit down at a cafe near the Star.

And he just knew that so many things actually happened after he left Porto.

"You should have called me, I could have helped you." Lauren looked at her with some distress.

Lina smiled and shook her head, "Thank you Lauren, but that's all in the past. I'm fine now."

"You're here, looking for a job?" Lauren asked.

Lina nodded, "Yes, but I think I need to find another suitable job, you know, I did not graduate, so, I only got a high school degree, and no big companies will hire me."

"Oh no, trust me, you'll get a great job."

After saying goodbye to Lina, Lauren went back to the company and after asking the HR resource department, got Lina's resume and asked them to inform Lina to come to work tomorrow.

Lina was still debating which company to apply to next when she received an offer from NK Group.

Hanging up the phone, Lina squealed with excitement.

The NK Group was one of the top design companies in the city, originally she only had the attitude of trying to go to the interview, and the results of the interview just now could already make her feel the HR's rejection, but she did not expect that only half a day had passed, she was hired.

It meaned that she will soon be able to have a stable and high income and she would soon be able to pick her dad up!
