Chapter 5 The Other Form

Selena got back from the river and entered the house. The house was decorated and looked beautiful.

The food on the dining table was so much as if they were having a feast. Or expecting a guest.

She gulped down nothing as her stomach rumbled out. "My mouth is watering already" Brownie said and I rolled my eyes.

"You know nothing but food only," I muttered.

"I had no other choice" she muttered and I scoffed.

Selena entered the house fully and admired everything until she bumped into a wall. She gasped and looked up.

It was not a wall but her annoying brother. "Watch where you're going, Miss Selen," he muttered.

"You're annoying, why do you have to bump into me?" she asked, putting her hand on his shoulder.

He didn't answer but gaze through her body. "Congrats" he said and she seemed confused.

"Why are you greeting me? And for what?" She asked, looking into his eyes.

"On finding your mate" he asked and she gasped.

"He did, right?" she asked.

"Yes, he announced it earlier," Flick muttered.

"That brat" she cursed under her breath.

"How do you meet him? You went in search of him" he asked as he leaned closer to her.

"No! Our meeting was just a coincidence" she answered.

"Wow! I learnt he was an Alpha" Flick pestered her with more questions.

"Flick!!" She yelled and her cheeks were reddened already.

"You are blushing , knowing he was an Alpha" he asked and She hit his chest playfully.

"Was he?" He asked again.

"Yes he is, and he is the current Alpha of our pack" She grinned, smiling happily.

"Alpha Zack" he asked.

"Yesss!! You know him" she asked.

"Yes. I do see him always! Who won't know the Alpha of this pack" he boasted.

"Hmm...Sure, you would ! Since you are allowed to go out likewise me, staying indoor" she said, moving away from him.

"Yeah..So you would be the future Luna of this pack" he asked and that statement made her looked happy.

"Yeah! That's how the Moon goddess wants it" she said proudly, walking like a queen.

"You look proud right now," Flick said, hitting her in the back. "Arghh! Your hand stings" she yelped in pain.

Her stomach rumbled out loudly, and she looked embarrassed. "I'm starving, Selen" Brownie spoke up angrily.

"I'm sorry, baby brownie," she mind-linked.

"Mind linking your half," he said.

"Yes! She felt hungry right now" she said.

"I'm also hungry right now. Let's move to the dining table" he said,0 tapping his stomach repeatedly.

They walked to the dining table and sat down looking at the delicacies on the table, she blinked her eyes rapidly staring at the food placed in front of her.

"Where should I start now?" Selena asked her wolf and Brownie rolled her eyes.

"Start from anywhere, nerd" she cursed.

She just calls me a nerd" Selena thought and a thought cropped unto her head.

"Okay then, let's start from the fruit" She said aloud and "Brownie muttered "Really".

"Out of the meals in front of you. You choose to feed me with fruits" she asked.

"Yeah! I love fruit so much" Selena said.

"Please take the chicken, my mouth is watering so much. I can't resist it" Brownie pleaded.

"You need to resist it because I'm not taking the chicken," she said.

"What! Then I will have to come out then" she yelled

"You won't do that, right?" Selena asked.

"Watch me" she said and tried to transform into the other form.

"Stop it, Brownie" Selena cautioned.

"Selena, you're back" Jacqueline said coming down the stairs. She walked to her and pulled her into a warm hug.

"Mom! What is it? I can't breathe any longer" she squeezed her face and she disengaged from the hug.

"I'm very proud of you, daughter"

"Thank you for making us proud," Jacqueline said and she rolled her eyes. "You should thank the Moon goddess not me* she scoffed inwardly.

*Yeah..You're right* Jac nodded her head.

"If I had known, your mate would be an Alpha..." She paused and looked at my eyes.

She continued. "...I would have released you freely" she completed and Selena smiled

"What's going on between you and your mate?" Jacqueline asked, sitting next to her son, Flick, who doesn't seem to be bothered about their discussion. He kept munching on his food.

"Nothing yet" she muttered staring into space. Her mum is the most frustrating being she has ever seen.

"Do you love his scent, others for..." She was cut off by Selena's rumbled stomach.

"I'm starving, " Brownie said, rolling from one place to another. "I'm sorry, Brownie," she mind-linked apologizing to her.

"I think you have to eat" Jacqueline, her mother muttered.

"Yes. We had to eat, a very stressful day we had!" She muttered while picking up the chicken.

After some minutes, she asked after her brother. "Where is he?" She questioned.

"Duty call!" Her mother answered knowing who she's referring to! "I thought as much," she said, continuing eating.

She stopped and frowned "Is this what will happen to me also? Duty call! I won't be free any longer as the Queen of the pack, many responsibilities will be on my head" She thought and sighed heavily.

"At least I will be the queen and I will be so much respected" Smiles cropped on her face as she continued eating.

THE NEXT DAY**

She stopped in the middle of the road. "How would I stand naked in front of him" She said to no one in particular. She kept thinking of what to do.

"I will look cheap if he sees that" she thought.

"Bravo!" She muttered.

She looked for a hidden place and watched if anyone was coming. Seeing the coast was clear , took off her clothes and hung it on the tree.

She looked around before turning into her other form. Her body could be seen cracking and it formed Brownie.

Brownie walked out of the hidden place and started to run towards the fig direction.

On the other hand, Alpha Zack was waiting for his mate earnestly and felt disturbed. He looked frustrated already, having been here for over 30 minutes waiting for her.

He peeped and looked at the road once more and there was no sight of her. "Fuçk , I hate not sticking to time" he growled.

"She is coming already!* his wolf spoke up and he hissed. "You know how much I hate jokes," he muttered, referring to his Wolf.

"I'm really serious, I could perceive her scent faintly" he said.

Zack looked onto the road and truly her mate was running towards him. He smiled as he mesmerized her wolf beauty.

"Woow!! It looks charming and breathtaking" he muttered as the brown wolf attacked him by jumping on him.

Brownie wiggled her tail around him, She licked up his face, putting her lags in his chest.

"You looked beautiful, mate!" He muttered rubbing her body as he sniffed every scent.

"I'm happy seeing your other form, it means a lot to me" he muttered as Brownie continued wagging her tails steadily and non stop.
