Chapter 2 He cheated on her

Katrina pov.

"How do I look?" I ask my best friend Carolina who was sitting on my bed staring at me with an unusual smile on her face.

"Beautiful." She answered still smiling. It wasn't a normal smile that puts you at ease. It is that kind of smile that shows something is lacking or there's more to say but holding it back.

I twirl around the mirror checking myself once more making sure nothing is lacking in my attire. I look good, maybe perfect.

Being satisfied with myself I turn to face her, "Care to tell me why you're smiling: Do I look funny?"

"Nothing." She chuckled loudly pinching her cheeks after.

Classical Lina! That is her habit, she does it most time especially when she's trying to control herself from blabbering or laughing when she shouldn't be.

"Oh, really? I don't think anyone would be smiling that way for no reason." I retorted glaring at her.

Knowing my best friend there must be something going on in that head of hers. For her to be spotting such a smirk she is up to something or has something to say.

"Spill it, Lina," I demanded while standing At akimbo. I know the smile wasn't in vain and there's some mischief swimming in her head.

She coughed to hide her laughter."Just silly thought, okay?"

"Say it," I demanded.

She smirk, "I am just wondering what would happen tonight after Zavier completes the mating process. The poor bed must be in trouble." She winks doing her best not to laugh.

I twisted my face and she burst out laughing.

My cheeks heated as I look everywhere else but her. How could she say that?

"Nothing is going to happen." I chided daring her to say another word.

"Are you sure?" She asks eyeing my dress" You can't tell me after waiting for three years and putting more than necessary effort in dressing up, you will... Umm... " She trails off chuckling to herself while my face heated up more. I wished nothing more than to go away from her.

How could she tease me like that?

She was about to tease me more when a knock sounded at the door.

"Yes, who is there" I yelled and watch the door open as my mum stuck her head in.

"Kat dear, can I come in?." She Inquires while standing between the door

"Yes, mum. Please do." I responded and watch as she strode in fully.

She smiled at me." That dress looks good on you, baby. I am sure Zavier would drool all over you."I blushed.

"Thank you, mum."

"Alright, you're all ready." She sighed. " Are you sure you don't want to celebrate your birthday with us before going over to Zavier's? "

"No, mum. The gift you got me is enough and besides, I have been celebrating my birthday with you all my life I would like to celebrate today's birthday with my mate, Zavier."

"Alright, have fun." She responded heading out.

"Mum," I called.

And she stopped, "Yes, Kat. "

"May I...um... You know... May I perhaps spend the night." I blushed. And I know by now my cheeks are a shade of red

My mum chuckled."Alright, dear. It's your day, if that is what you want, then you have my permission."

I smiled and watch as she trotted out locking the door behind her. I don't know why I'm having a strange feeling about today. My dream this morning flashed back to me but I shove it out of my mind doing my best not to think of it. It's the strangest dream I have ever had.

Someone coughed behind me dragging me out of my thought, and I turn to see Lina smirking at me.

Oh, no! She's going to tease me again.

She cleared her throat."No, please. No more teasing I can't take it again." She burst out laughing but didn't say another word which I was grateful for.

I rounded off quickly, then glance at the mirror once more before heading out while Lina follow behind.

Getting outside, she hug me briefly before whispering some words in my ear about her not being ready to be an aunt yet, and then she left after bidding me goodbye.

I continue on my own holding my birthday cake as I trotted down the road that leads to Zavier's house.

Three years ago, I shape-shifted at the age of 15, Unlike most people I shifted earlier than I should have and that is because my mate was close to me.

My mum said whenever a female wolf stays close to her mate they shapeshift whether they are up to age or not.

She said she shifted at the age of ten after she came in contact with my dad.

Mehn! You could imagine how happy I felt when I find out that Zavier was my mate. I was literally soaring, flying high in ecstasy and joy. To have the school sweetheart as a mate is a thing of joy and I felt fulfilled.

He must have known I was his mate before I find out, he shifted before me and he is also two years older than me but I didn't take it to mind even though he didn't tell me. I thought maybe he doesn't want to bother me at that time.

When I found out he was my mate I went to him and told him hoping he would mate me then but he didn't. He said I was too small and he can't mate with kids.

I was hurt, but I was relieved when he said we should try it again when I become an adult.

But I hurt every day whenever I see him talking to other girls.

He talks to everyone except me. I was the only girl in school who he doesn't talk to or hang out with. It hurt like hell especially knowing he is my mate and having to watch him kiss, and hug other girls. But I was patiently waiting to turn 18.

You could imagine how it feels to have your crush and mate ignore you while sleeping with others.

Yesterday when I met him and told him I would be turning 18 today. He said I should come over to his house surprising me and I was happy.

Finally, I will be mated to the love of my life. Gus! I can't wait.I have been lonely all my life waiting for this day.

As I approach his house, my heart was beating loudly as I thought of what would happen after he mates me. I can't wait to have my first kiss.

I knock at the door when I got there and it was opened by his mum.

She stood gawking at me in surprise and nervousness.

Why would she be nervous? It's not the first time she's seeing me. In fact, she knew I am mated to his son.

I shrugged."Good afternoon mum." I greeted her then peek her cheek." Is he in?"

"Um...yes. But..."

I smiled and trotted past her not waiting to hear the rest of her words.

"Katrina, " she called.

"Mum," I answered.

"I thought I should tell you."

"Tell me what, mum!?"

She sighed. A sigh of frustration.

"Whatever you find in there, I'm sorry. Just know I tried but I couldn't stop it." She breathed out before walking away.

Weird! I heard my wolf say. And she isn't wrong. She's acting very weird and her words are strange too. I couldn't make a single thing out of it.

I jogged up the stairs until I was standing before his door. I knocked but no one answered so I assumed he was sleeping.

I click to open the door and enter.

I got the shocking part of my life when I saw a naked girl riding my mate's d**k. They are both naked.

Ohmygod! I can't believe this. Is this what his mum was trying to tell me?

He asked me to come and there he was having sex with another girl. There were two other naked girls on the bed, He was sucking one's breast while the other was riding his finger.

"Zavier!" I murmured.

He paused,

He must have felt my presence because he took his face off from her breast and stare at me. A smirk played on his face.

"Look who decides to brace us with her presence." He exclaimed, his lip stretching in a mocking smile.

The three girls turn to stare at me smirking. They didn't bother stopping nor did he stop them.

Watching them pang at my heart, my eyes burn as tears begin to stream down.
