Chapter 9 Mrs. Cox, How about We Make a Deal

"Heh heh, this girl is shy. Mrs. Cox, please don't mind it."

"It's okay, I like innocent kids, and she looks nice." Mrs. Cox smiled.

Amaya finally rested her mind at ease. This was good. Now that the Coxs liked Hailey, the capital injection was secured. Soon, this little bitch would be driven out of the house.

"Amaya, Jack is looking at you." Hailey turned her head, looked at her uncle, and whispered.

In the near distance, Jack threw his arm around a woman's waist and talked exultantly.

Amaya took a glance and smiled awkwardly, "I'll go take a look. Hailey, keep Mrs. Cox company."

After her aunt left, Hailey raised her head and suggested, "Mrs. Cox, how about we go outside for some fresh air?"

Mrs. Cox was stunned. This girl had shiny eyes and looked composed. She was no longer that prim and timid like just now.

Side by side, they got out of the banquet hall.

Eliza had been watching Hailey and saw them heading to the back garden.

She was still holding a grudge for what happened yesterday.

Her eyes swiveled as a great idea crossed her mind. Eliza took out her cell phone and gave Joshua a call.

Later, as long as that womanizer got his hands on Hailey, she would pretend that she bumped into the scene and then shout for attention. By then...

Hailey stopped under a banyan tree, followed by Mrs. Cox. Not a third person was around.

"Miss Anderson, go on with what you have to say." Mrs. Cox urged impatiently.

Mrs. Cox was struck dumb, but Amaya told her that Hailey was very willing to marry into the Cox Family and serve her son.

Mrs. Cox was furious that the Andersons fooled her.

"Mrs. Cox, don't be mad. You can still have the marriage. Apart from me, there is another granddaughter in the direct line." Hailey said sarcastically.

Mrs. Cox was not that stupid to strike such a bad deal.

"You can go now. The marriage is canceled, but you should explain it to your family!" Mrs. Cox barked and turned to leave.

Hailey slightly arched her brow. Compared with the Andersons, the Coxs were quite decent. It happened that she liked to associate with decent people.

"Wait a moment, Mrs. Cox."

Hailey called out, and the lady turned back, "Anything else?"

"Mrs. Cox, how about we make a deal? I can cure your son's leg."
