Alex's calm voice was tinged with a hue of sarcasm. At the same time, a light, careless female smile sounded.

Nora lifted her slender arm to refill her wine glass and curled up her lips into a faint smile. "That's fine. You'll have an impression of me soon. I always enjoy making friends. It's even better that we meet each other in person."

She was actually telling Nate and Ian that she was not interested in listening to their essentially derogatory words about her and that they had better show her some respect.

Ian sneered towards Alex at Nora's words, asking, "When did you get a girlfriend? Why didn't you tell us earlier?"

Alex leaned on the edge of the sofa in a lazy, casual posture and let out a light snort, replying, "I'm introducing her to you guys now, am not I?"

At this moment, Nate turned his eyes to Nora's face, and the woman lowered her head to drink in silence.

Honestly, Nora had not drunk champagne worth tens of thousands of yuan during the year after the Stock Family's bankruptcy. She used to have everything in hand but was stupid enough to prioritize love over everything.

"Alex, forgive me for being meddlesome. But seriously, does Hilda know about this?"

Ian asked Alex in a grave tone of voice with a tight frown, and Nora witnessed everything. However, without saying anything, she supported her chin with one hand and put on an expectant look in her eyes while staring at the man who was holding her waist.

Alex also looked into Nora's eyes as if no other person was on the spot. A faint smile swiftly crossed the man's delicate eyes and brows, and it was hard to read the emotion of his handsome features.

After a while, Alex rubbed Nora's cheek several times and landed kisses around her face, saying, "This is between her and me. What does it have to do with Hilda?"

"How could you..." Ian instantly became agitated, but Nate stopped him from saying anything to intensify the conflict.

Nora dodged Alex's intimate touch, feeling ashamed.

As his warm breathing spread all around her body, she somehow felt hot and dry.

For some reason, she thought Alex was different from the man in her memories.

Alex's words were saying that they should call it a day, and he and Nora would soon leave. Ian and Nate exchanged glances with each other with a confused, unpleasant, and anxious look in their eyes.

The man loosened his Windsor knot, his masculine throat rolling. The air between the two was filled with the smell of alcohol.

The vibe inside the vehicle was slightly intoxicating.

"Tonight?" Nora could not tamp down the surprise in her heart.

The next second, Alex clasped her delicate chin and let out a mocking smile, saying, "Is there anything wrong? You've taken half a million yuan from me, and you have to make a child with me. How do you want to accomplish your mission without sleeping with me? By asexual reproduction?"
