Chapter 6 The Conundrum (Part II)

It was only at that moment that Camille was sure the reason that John had spent years planning to get rid of her was to take over the Davis Family.

In the past, Camille boasted bountiful love from her parents. Even her brother, who was mentally deficient, treated her as a precious pearl.

But as her mother died, John finally revealed his evil purpose after three years of disguise as a kind father.

Since then, Camille's only family was her brother, Bruce.

When she was discharged from the hospital, Camille immediately went to the nursing home where Bruce stayed, finding that Bruce had been gone for days. After some inquiries, Camille failed to find any clues about where Bruce was.

For her brother's safety, Camille had to agree with John that she would keep what had happened as a secret and leave the Davis Family.

Camille had no idea why John took such a huge risk to keep her alive.

She only knew that the reason was so important that John gave up his three-year-long intrigue to murder his own daughter and that John kept her life at the risk of being exposed.

Camille was distressed that there was nothing that she could do to improve her situation.

When she did not know what to do, Camille remembered a perfume development project that her mother, Bonnie, left for her before she died.

Camille had been obsessed with perfume making since she was a child. She casually mentioned her interest in perfume to Bonnie once, but her mother took it to heart, quietly doing a project called "Orchid" for her.

Camille made up her mind to carry out the project.

Cherry apologized, "I'm sorry, I should not have offended Vera."

Camille replied with comfort, "No, it's not your fault."

As an idea struck Camille, she said, "Cherry, prepare something for me."

If the soft tactics did not work, then tried the hard ones.

After her words, she whispered to Cherry.

Camille's phone rang, and she found it was Alice Grant.

Camille declined it and went out with Cherry.
