Chapter 6 You Are My Favorite

"What's going on?"

Nova was alerted by the church's commotion and walked up to Luke with Asher Powell, Luke, and Dylan's father. Upon seeing Dylan, Asher glanced at the young woman in the doorway and focused all his attention on Dylan.

The scene saddened nova. However, she could do nothing but widen her eyes open in anger.

Asher had always been partial to Dylan. Otherwise, why did Nova want Luke to get married at a young age?

After building up a family and settling down, Luke would grow mature and make a baby. Then naturally, the Powell Family would become Luke's.

As for Dylan, he was an evil creature left behind by another woman. Nova, of course, would not allow him to take away what should belong to her son.

"Mia, what are you doing here?" Luke mumbled.

After making sure that it was really Mia, Luke rushed over to her.

Grabbing Mia's arm, Luke felt overjoyed.

"Mia, what are you doing here? Don't worry. No matter who I'm going to marry, I'll love you as I always do."

Luke took Mia into his arms. Mia flashed a smile, saying, "Luke, let go of me first."

Mia's soft tone of voice was no different from usual. Luke let go of Mia without hesitation. His handsome face, which was expressionless earlier, was currently lightened up by a smile.

He initially thought that after what his mother had done to Mia, the latter would never talk to him again. Anyway, his mother had gone too far by embarrassing Mia at school before her schoolmates and her home in front of her family.

To any woman, that wasn't very kind. Thus, Luke thought it would be a while before Mia came to him and did not expect the girl to show up quickly. It seemed that she cared about him very much!

Involuntarily, Luke curled up his lips into a big smile.

He took Mia's hand and was unwilling to let go of it.

The scene stunned all the guests present.

It turned out that Luke loved another woman.

Clearly, Luke wanted to marry Mia.

They originally thought Luke and Bella were a perfect match. Unexpectedly, the marriage was only Bella's wishful thinking.

As the crowd was chattering, Mia flashed a faint smile and withdrew her hand from Luke's. In the eyes of others, however, that was a public display of affection.

Nova was furious that her eyes were about to fall from her sockets.

Mia not only showed up in mourning clothes but actually also interacted intimately with Luke before the guests.

Nova walked up to Mia, intending to ask the latter to leave. Just then, Mia lifted her hand and landed a crisp slap on Luke's cheek.

That was a slap with all Mia's strength.

Luke's face tilted to one side. As it burnt in pain, marks of Mia's fingers appeared in his swollen cheek.

That was a hard slap indeed.

Mia kept smiling from the beginning to the end. Her love for Luke had disappeared completely after her mother's death.

Luke chose Bella to marry but claimed to love Mia. How come Mia did not realize that the man was such a shameless piece of trash before?

Even if Bella did not mind sharing the man with her, Mia could not bear Luke's dirty hands!

"Luke, this slap is for me. I was simply blind to fall in for a douche bag like you. Perhaps in the eyes of a young master from a rich family like you, a poor girl's feelings meant nothing. That's fine. Just think I'm farting. I'm mourning for the three years of my youth spent on you."

Seeing that Luke looked at her with a puzzled expression in his eyes, Mia snorted.

Inevitably feeling somewhat irritated, Luke frowned. He knew Mia was furious. Still, he thought Mia was going too far by slapping him in public.

Did she not know that reputation was more important than anything for a male?

Mia used to be a sensible woman. Why was she a totally different person? What happened to her?

"I don't care if you're angry or what. Let's talk about it outside, not here..."

Luke reached out to pull Mia's hand, but Mia dodged it.

After glancing at Luke coldly, Mia turned to look at Nova meaningfully, sneered, then said, "I'm not here for you today. I'm here for your mother!"

"My mother?" Luke looked at his mother in confusion. Nova was puzzled and angry. At this moment, Luke also felt that Mia was somewhat annoying.

"Mia, let's talk about this later. Like I've said, I love you the most. Why have you become so immature?"

Immature? Love?

Mia burst out laughing. "Don't say that you love me. It makes me sick."

How could he marry another woman while saying that he loved her?

It seemed that in the eyes of this young master from the Powell Family, love was nothing but bullshit. Poor Mia used to believe that their love was genuine.

"Mia, you're going too far!" Luke said angrily.

However, his anger did not scare Mia or have any effect on her. After looking at Nova for a good while, she said sarcastically, "Why aren't you saying anything, Mrs. Powell? Don't you enjoy throwing banknotes at me and humiliating me in public? I'm right here. Why are you silent?"
