Chapter 7 What Are You Doing Here

But Zach just had sex and couldn't get it erect no matter what. The spirit was willing but the flesh was weak.

Lisa noticed it, instantly relaxed, looked at the irritated man, and chuckled.

"Zach, if I were you, I would marry a woman and have a successor."

Her speech infuriated Zach. He smacked Lisa in the face so hard so that her head drummed and she almost blacked out...

"Bitch, even if I'm impotent, I can still treat you right."

The lust in his red eyes was gone. Only resentment and other inexplicable emotions were left.

"Let go of me." Lisa struggled desperately but with little effect.

When Zach almost got his way, the door was knocked, followed by the voice of a man from outside.

"Sir, Mr. Fields is here at the entrance."

Zach stiffened. The Fields family? Herman? He had never associated with the man before. What brought him here in the middle of the night?

While he was distracted, Lisa kicked him in the lower body. As he suffered from pain, she scrambled off the bed, opened the door, and rushed out...

The bodyguard took a look at the fleeing woman and then the man on the bed who showed a painful face before hurriedly asking.

"Sir, are you all right?"

Zach curled up, gazed at the escaping figure, and spoke in a subdued voice, "What are you waiting for? Get her."

Following his instruction, the bodyguard gave chase but too late.

Lisa opened the main door, only to find Herman under a black umbrella. Her eyes became misty in an instant.

When Zach humiliated her like that, she didn't cry.

Herman slightly dropped his eyes for a glance at the woman whose clothes were in disarray and whose hair was unkempt. His dashing eyebrows furrowed with visible displeasure.

"What... what are you doing here?"

Didn't he turn her down?

Herman's eyes darkened as he spoke in a deep voice, "Shouldn't I?"

Didn't she beg for his help earlier?

Was he meddlesome now?

Lisa shook her head variously, snuffled, looked down at his leather shoes, and rejoiced for his arrival.

In a short while, Zach simply groomed himself and also came downstairs.

As he sensed acquaintanceship between Lisa and Herman, a bad feeling rose from the bottom of his heart.

With a forced smile, he came up, "Mr. Fields, what brought you here in the middle of the night? Anything I can help?"

As soon as Zach's voice came out, Lisa turned around, trying to steer clear of his disgusting face and smile...

When she just took half a step back, a pair of broad and warm palms suddenly braced against her back. Lisa raised her eyes, looked back at the man, and somehow felt at ease.

"I'm here for something I left here." Herman said indifferently.

"Mr. Fields, what did you drop?" Zach was perplexed.

This man had never been to his house. What could he drop here?

Herman turned his head sideways and looked at the woman one-head shorter than himself. He didn't speak, but his message was clear.

He was here for Lisa.

Zach's face looked stiff while his eyes moved alternately between Lisa and Herman. Now his smile became wryer, "Mr. Fields, it's a joke, right? Lisa is my wife. How could she be dropped by you?"

No sooner had his voice died away than Lisa corrected him, "Ex-wife."

Zach instantly looked embarrassed and showed a hint of ferocity on his face.

As Herman reached out his hand, Daniel took out several photos from his pocket and handed them to his boss while holding the umbrella.

Herman threw the photos to Zach's heels. The scattered pictures showed the scene when Lisa was taken away by force...

"Mr. Sanders, do you need me to elaborate on the law about kidnapping?"

Zach was stunned...
