Chapter 2 Son of a Bitch

"On the same day with your incident, some medicine on the market went wrong. Three people died while the chairman was deeply troubled and sued. Three days ago, the chairman had a heart attack. It was too late when he was sent to the hospital."

"How could it be?" Lisa asked emotionally, her tears falling like broken beads, "All the medicine produced in the factory is strictly supervised. There haven't been any accidents all these years. How did people suddenly die?"

Besides, those were life-saving medicine rather than poison. Even if the dosage was wrong, it would not cause death!

Even if something was wrong with the medicine, many other factors could also lead to death! Why were they so sure that Wright's medicine was the reason?

"As the chairman deceased, you're the supposed successor, but due to the contract of equity transfer you signed, Zach took over the company. He compensated the families of those victims and smoothed things over."

"What contract of transfer? I have no idea of it." Lisa was baffled.

"He had your signature, fingerprint, and recorded the signing. You forgot?" Mr. Lane frowned.

"Signature, fingerprint." Lisa murmured in deep thought.

She remembered. It was Valentine's Day not long after their wedding. Zach prepared a bouquet and candlelight dinner for her, intending to get her drunk. Under the romantic atmosphere, she thought that he wanted to consummate their marriage and thus drank one cup after another.

Till she was tipsy, Zach took out a stack of paper, claiming it was a contract of property transfer. He wanted to transfer Sanders's family fortune to her.

She saw it clearly on the first page of the contract that wrote about the transfer!

Could it be that the first page was fake?

Out of trust and affection for the man, she signed it without reading the remaining part.

At that, Lisa suddenly lay prone on the window and shouted like a crazy person, "It was Zach. It was him. He tricked me into signing the contract. He caused my father's death!"

Before she could finish her speech, two warders nearby hurriedly held her arms and spoke to Mr. Lane, "Time's up, you can go!"

They then tried to take Lisa away...

Out of grief and anger, her eyes turned red, and she struggled desperately, "Mr. Lane, help me, kill Zach. That son of a bitch, I'm gonna kill him!"

The attorney watched helplessly as she was taken away. Till the figure disappeared, he turned to leave.

It was the first time that Lisa ever cursed. Because of that, she was confined for a week.

Two years and six months later, the penalty was reduced because of her good performance in prison, and she was released early.

The detention center was located in a mountain village so remote that she walked for around two hours to reach the nearest town. Then she hocked her platinum bracelet, bought a phone card, and spent the remaining little money on transportation.

Although Zach smoothed things over through compensation, the major event damaged the reputation of the company. Besides, Zach was too young and impetuous. Due to his poor management, the pharmaceutical company and present Sanders Group had been on a downward trajectory in the past two years. Before long, the company might run out of business.

Zach, I would take back what was rightfully mine and seek justice for my father's death. I would never allow a demon to live so easily in the human world!
