Chapter 7 We Have to be Strangers After the Breakup

The night in South City always had a hint of hidden charm. The lights were on in the busy high-rises and there seemed to be more people inside than during the day.

Sherry was still catching up on sleep when she was urged to go to Flower City by a phone call from Amy Miller.

Flower City was the most extravagant bar in South City. The first floor was an open-air dance floor with a black glazed bar filled with people who came to hang out.

The second floor was separate VIP rooms. The third and fourth floors were large party venues.

Dressed in a simple black dress and dazzling long burgundy hair, Sherry entered the bar gate and headed straight upstairs.

She reached the third floor of the bar and went through the luxurious gallery. Two waiters smiled and opened the door for her.

Men and women gyrated to the deafening music in the dazzling spotlights. It was full of a sense of love and seduction.

Flower City was synonymous with the luxurious life.

"Sherry baby!" Amy, who was getting high on the dance floor, immediately saw the gorgeous person walking through the door. She excitedly rushed over and grabbed Sherry in a hug.

"When did you get back?" In the meantime, Sherry pushed Amy away and lazily frowned at her.

"I just got off the plane!" Amy explained as she took Sherry's hand and headed toward the couch next to her, "Come on, let's introduce you to some friends!"

"This is the third son of the Browns, Clark Brown; and this is the son of Minister Thomas, Nick Thomas..." Amy put her arm around Sherry's shoulders in a dominating manner and raised her chin at the people sitting on the couch. She introduced to Sherry one by one and finally scanned the room, "This is my best friend Sherry Ella. You all should know her without my introduction, right?"

The men and women on the couch stared at them in unanimous silence.

Amy, the daughter of the president of Miller Bank, had grown up as a princess with a halo. She was always the center of attention wherever she went. Then she went to study in France. Amy was dashing and righteous, and for parties like this tonight, she always paid the bills.

So when Amy affectionately introduced Sherry to the crowd, everyone in the room was surprised.

How did these two become friends?

"Why do you look so surprised? Go, dance with me!" Amy winked playfully, and suddenly most of the people on the couch clustered around her and headed to the dance floor in the middle of the hall.

These people actually wanted to fawn on the little princess of Miller Bank and stay away from the trouble maker Sherry Ella!

"Mr. Thomas, won't you go dancing?" Sherry smiled at Nick Thomas who was the only one left on the couch.

Nick raised his good-looking eyebrows and leaned lazily against the couch with his legs crossed, "You just broke up with me and changed my title to Mr. Thomas.

"Of course we should be strangers after we broke up. Otherwise wouldn't it be a misunderstanding for everyone?" Sherry sat gracefully on the couch. She turned her head and looked at the crowded dance floor with sparkling eyes, "I heard that you and Amy have been close since you were children?"

"Not really close, but we played together for a few years!" Nick shook his long legs from time to time. He suddenly leaned over to take one of the glasses from the table and handed it to Sherry, "Today is the seventh day of our breakup. Let's celebrate!"

Sherry curled up her red lips. She took the glass but put it back on the table, "Why don't you have the wine I ordered."

As she finished speaking, a waiter came over with a silver tray.

Sherry took two delicate glasses and poured the wine into them.
