Chapter 4 The Marriage of Thirty Million

"This woman is something!" Chris looked down at the gorgeous back as she walked out of the club and sighed, "Among all the women in South City, I only invited her to Scenery Garden tonight so she could liven up the atmosphere and welcome you! Obviously, she took care of everyone. And she totally took care of my dignity as a host! She knew she would drink tonight and had her friend waiting outside ahead of time. I expect her friend outside will call the police if she hasn't left the Scenery Garden in the early morning!"

Allen stood beside the stone railings. The moonlight shone on his shoulders, white and soft. The moonlight made him look tall and handsome and sharp.

He peered down with his deep eyes at the back further and further, and there was a smile on his lips, "You're into her?"

"Not yet, but I'm just a little curious!" Chris frowned slightly.

"Chris, I advise you never to be curious about this woman!" Armand walked toward him quickly and held his shoulders. He advised him patting his chest, "The second son of the Singers went to jail for her. Kevin tried to commit suicide for her. Even her brother Kent has an unclear relationship with her! A woman like her can scourge the world as long as she lives!"

The black Bentley sedan was driven out of Scenery Garden and headed straight to the boulevard ahead.

The car stopped at a stoplight at an intersection. In the wee hours, the entire street north of town was nearly empty, with only a few cars occasionally passing by.

"Mr. Cook!" said Jim with a casual glance at someone standing under the streetlight in front of them and he quickly looked back to the back seat, "That looks like Missy!"

Allen looked over indifferently at Sherry, standing alone in the warm yellow streetlight. Her head was bowed as if she were contemplating something.

On a night like this, the stars were bright, and her silent figure could almost cover the entire night sky's dazzling starlight.

"Drive the car over," Allen commanded after silence for a long time.

Jim nodded as the green light came on and he drove straight ahead.

Sherry was startled when she saw the suddenly approaching car.

"Missy!"Jim quickly got out of the car, rounded the front of the car, and opened the back door of the car, "Mr. Cook wants you to get in!"

Sherry didn't refuse and entered the car.

"Allen," Sherry called him with a light smile.

"How's Kevin doing?" Allen did not look up and kept looking at the file in his hand.

Sherry's hand holding the bag suddenly stiffened, but quickly she regained her composure, "He's been doing pretty well lately. The doctor says that if he sticks to the chemo, there's still a good chance of a cure!"

"Jim, take her back to Ella Garden!" He still had his head down and his voice was cold.

"No!" Sherry immediately refused, "I'm going back to Cook Villa tonight. Allen, are you going back to Lawrence Garden, or are you coming back to Cook Villa with me?"

"Missy, Mr. Cook was going to go back to Cook Villa!" answered Jim first when Allen in the back seat didn't say anything.

Allen quietly browsed the papers in his hand, and Sherry sat beside him without another word.

He didn't ask her why she cheated Chris, and she didn't explain.

Sherry leaned against the car seat and looked out the window. The thick trees along the street continued to recede. South City under the night sky revealed a hint of luxurious silence.

Sherry was called "Missy" because the man she married was Kevin Cook, the youngest grandson of Old Mr. Cook.

No one except for the Cook's and the Ella's knew the secret marriage of her and Kevin Cook.

At that time, the whole South City knew that Kevin Cook was crazily obsessed with Sherry Ella.

Sherry was in desperate need of money, so when Kevin Cook's mother, Mrs. Koch, found her, she gave her thirty million to ask her to marry Kevin Cook.

A secretive marriage was the request of Sherry if she agreed to marry Kevin Cook. Beyond that, no one in the Cook's was allowed to interfere with her private life.

However, her husband was seriously ill.

The Cook Villa was located in a beautiful place in the middle of a scenic hillside, where it was quiet, with a wide and flat road. It could be said very luxurious in South City.

The tall iron gate opened in response and the black Bentley was driven swiftly into the Cook estate, bypassing the large sculptural fountain towards the mansion ahead.

"Allen, I'm going in first!" Sherry looked at the silent man beside her and got off.

Allen Cook finally stopped looking at the papers and stared at the back of the woman entering the villa, his eyes extremely deep and cold.

"Mr. Cook? "The car had been off for ten minutes and Jim couldn't help but look backward.

"Have Brandon look up everything he can on that land at Prosperity Plaza." The tall and handsome man finally got up to leave the back seat, and he suddenly saw a handbag that had been left next to him.

"I'll tell Brandon!" Jim answered cautiously.

Allen leaned over and took the handbag, looking up at the suddenly lighted room on the second floor of the villa. And he walked steadily toward the villa's steps.
