Chapter 4 Marcus Came Back

Mark felt embarrassed the first day that Bridgette was with him in the market and even in the stores where he bought the materials. Many days have passed but no one in the palace knew that the princess always run off there so that she will be with Mark. In some occasions, Bridgette always at the Mark's house to help him to do his business and he was very amazed to her on how she work.

He looked at her while sewing her own shoe, "Cassiopeia, are you a craftsman in your past life?" he asked in jest

She looked at him and smiled, "I am the princess in the fairy kingdom in my past life and I have named Marcus" she suddenly stopped when she remembered him again "he thought me everything about crafts so that I can help him when many of his clients demands" she added then she resumed on what she was doing.

Mark didn't know if he will laugh her or not because of her story "But, Cassiopeia I didn't understand if you are the past life of Princess Bridgette, how come that you remember about him" he asked while carving the pattern for her another shoe

"I am not totally reincarnated like you are thinking, our souls travel over time to escape from our pursuers" she answered "but he was killed when the portal pulled me here in your princess' body and now I am known to be Princess Bridgette" she added

He looked down and became sad to her story, "I'm sorry for your lose" he said then he stood up to get some water for her, "You want some?" he handed to her a glass of water

She looked at the water on the glass, "But before we separated he told me that he will looked for me whatever happen" she said

He sat down to his stool again, "I wish that he can find you, and I'll be happy for you if it will happen" he said then he continues what he was doing.

Suddenly they heard Mark's mother, "The dinner is ready, let's eat son" she said

He stood up and offered his hand to her, "Let's finish that later, we will eat first" he said

She held his hand then stood up, "I hope that I can eat something delicious again this day" she smiled at him

He looked at her, "We don't have tasty food like you have in the palace" he reasoned

She looked at him and smiled, "I'm not pertaining to the food itself but I'm pertaining to the taste" she hop a little in every step she made "Your mother is a good cook, you know that?" she said

They ate dinner with Mark's mother, "Madam, you are such a good cook" she praised her while she enjoying every spoonful that she eat "I hope you can teach me how to cook like this" she added

The old woman smiled at her, "Thank you Miss, I didn't thought that you like the foods like this" she answered

Bridgette looked at him, "Did you tell to your mother?" she whispered while doing some gestures

He just motioned his hand to say he didn't say anything to his mother about her.

His mother suddenly looked at them when she noticed that there is something wrong to them, "Are you talking on something Mark?" she asked

"Nothing mother, she just loves the food that you cooked" he reasoned then he gone back to eating.

After they ate, he send her home to the palace "Please be sure that your butler will not knew that you always with me when you are not there or else I'll be punished" he plead

"Don't worry, they will not know about you" she said "Even the time I'm ran away and the time I am with you" she added then she turn her back and go to her room in rush

When she entered her room, a minute after her maidservant entered "Princess, are you sick?" she asked

At that time she just changing her clothes, "No, I'm just fine" she said trying to hide her nervousness

The maidservant just believed her, "Your mother was looking for you for the whole day and the maidservants went here answered her that you are still sleeping until this hour

"I'm fine, I just overslept" she said then she faced her maidservant "You can leave now, I wanted to be alone and please tell to the queen that I am fine" she said then she lay down to her bed

Her maidservant didn't know that she will believe her or not because she was looked tired at that time, "As you wish, my princess" then she left

Cassiopeia was very happy that day, for now Mark is still Mark but she knew that one day he will be Marcus then she fell asleep.

In her dream, she can see how Marcus and she were very happy alone in the forest. They are living in a simple house, she cooked some dish for him before he will leave the house to sell his fine crafts on the other kingdom then suddenly everything became dark. She was very scared that time, she screamed so much but she can't heard even her own voice then when the light came back she saw the dead body of Marcus bathe on his own blood.

"NO!" she woke up with so much sweating and like her throat dried so much. She got off on her bed to drink some water "It's just a dream Cassiopeia, Marcus will came back soon" , she make her calm down. When she was fine she came back to sleep, the next day she didn't noticed that she overslept.

The maidservant entered to her room, "Princess, please wake up" she said "the breakfast is ready, the queen will get mad again if you will be late again" she added

She covered herself in the blanket, "Please tell to the queen that I am not feeling well" she said

They looked each other, "But princess, this is the seventh time that you didn't join your royal parents in the breakfast because you always tell us that you are not feeling well" a maidservants told her

She was very shocked when she heard that, "What? I don't leave anyone here as my substitute" she said to herself "Alright, I'll be there" she got up then she fix herself to be with her parents.

After awhile, she went to the dining area "I'm sorry for being late, father and mother" she sat down

They started eating, "Are you still feeling well?" the queen asked when she noticed that the princess didn't hold the cutleries

"I'm fine mother, I'm a bit unwell" she answered then she started to eat

The silence broke when the queen spoke, "The craftsman Mark will be here soon, he will checked if the shoes he made for you was fitted to you" she said

She was very happy when she heard that, "Thank you mother" she answered. Her mother's new gave her happiness that time so instead of going back to her room she went to their garden to stay there. She was sitting on the bench and her eyes were closed and thinking her former garden that is full of different kinds of flowers and cared by the other fairies.

After a few minutes a maidservant approached her, "Your highness, the craftsman was already arrived they wait you in the room of the king" she said

She opened her eyes little by little, "please tell to my father, I'll go there after a minute" she answered then the maidservant left. She stood up and looked at the sky, "Marcus, please come back? I missed you so much" she whispered in the air then she walked towards to the king's room.

When she reached the front door, she knocked "The Princess is already here your majesty" she said

The king motioned his butler, "Please come in, Princess Bridgette said the king" the butler said to her then she opened the door and bowed down before him "I'm sorry if I took too long to be here" she added

"Princess, take a look to the shoes that he made for you" the king said

She came near to Mark to see the shoes pretending that she didn't saw it in the days that she was with Mark but in her surprise the shoes change the design, it is like her shoes when she was in the fairy land. As she came very near to him, her tears dripping off to her cheeks and everyone around her was confused why she was crying just because the shoes.

She wear it immediately, "Thank you Mark, you made me happy to this design" she said smiling "It resembles on something for me" she wiped her tears

He smiled at her, "Your welcome princess" he said "Cass" he added in a whisper

When she heard the name he called to her she wanted to hug him but she can't because many people were there and he will be punished if she will do it. "Your majesty, can I talk to him privately?" she asked to the king

The king doubt about it, "For what princess? You can talk to him here if you wanted" he answered

"Please father, I promise that I will never do a thing that can put you to shame" she said

He motioned to the guards to not to interrupt, "Alright Princess, I will allow you" he answered

"Thank your majesty" she bowed before him and then turned her back, "Please follow me to the garden" she said the they left the room

When they reached her garden she can't stop herself from crying, "Is that you Marcus?" she asked next to her sobs

He nodded and smiled at her.

She can't still believe d that Marcus was already with her as Mark, "But you told me when we first met that you are not Marcus, Mark" she doubted

"Don't get mad at me Cass, I had experience so much trouble before I met you" he answered

She ran towards him and she hugged him so tight, "I love you Marcus, I'm sorry if it's too late before I realized about it" she cried

He hugged her also, "It's fine Cass, I can wait until the time you realized that I love you truthfully and I know the time will come that you can love me back" he answered "I'm sorry if I made you wait too long as expected" he added

They released each other to their embrace and sat down on the bench, they seemed to be very happy that time. They told to each other what happened to the past few weeks and Marcus burst to laugh when he heard that she always ran off in the palace to see Mark.

"Are you serious, Cass? Did you do that?" he asked

She looked at him, "Why? Is there funny about that to make you laugh?" she asked

He stopped a little, "But Cass, this man will be in the big trouble when the king knew about it" he said "Another thing, you surprised me that you thought that this man is me" he added then he laugh again

She looked at him seriously, "I am badly missing you that time so that the first time I saw him I thought it was you because you have so much similarities with him like Princess Bridgette to me" she answered "So please don't laugh at me because of that because I felt embarrassed on what I did" she added then she leaned to the bench

He looked at her, "Do you think that someone is watching us?" he asked her

"I don't think so because I told to the king that I wanted to talk to you privately" she answered

"Is that so?"

"Yes" she closed her eyes when she looked up to feel the cold breeze

He suddenly kissed her, "I love you very much Cass" he said

She was very shock on what he did because it is the first time he kissed her, she can't even a single word she just looked at him.

He was blushed and sit properly to the bench, "I'm sorry for my act, I wanted to do it long time ago" he apologized

Even she felt embarrassed for herself, "Marcus" he called his name, so Marcus faced her then she suddenly kissed him "I love you too, thank you for loving me unconditionally" she said

Before afternoon, Mark (Marcus) left the palace having the hope that he will be with Cassiopeia on the next day.
