Chapter 3 Princess Bridgette of Monarchy

"Your highness, you need to wake up" a maidservant told her "Your mother the queen waited you for hours" she added

She got up to her bed and looked around her, "Where am I?" she asked while she wiping her eyes

Her maidservants seemed impatient on what she said, "Your highness you are still on your room, you need to get up because your mother the queen waited you for so long" she repeated

Even she was very confused on everything she got up on her bed and took a bath then her maidservants dressed her, "What year today?" she asked while her arms raised up

Her maidservants looked at her, "Your highness, its 1524" she answered then she checked if the princess has a flu "Are you sure you are not sick, princess?" she asked when she observed that the princess was well

Her another maidservant went to her room, "Your highness, the Queen Geraldine lose her temper in waiting you" she bowed her head a little to show respect

The maidservants who dressed her walked backwards, "This way our princess" they lead her way

She walked very slowly because her dress was heavy for her and also the accessories on her head. She wear her beautiful smile when she approached a woman with the same dress with her and in her comprehension that is her mother in that time, she gave respect to her "I'm sorry if I'm bit late" she said

The queen still wears her smile, "we will talk about it later" she said while waving her hands to the people of their kingdom

"Yes, your highness" she answered. At the moment she tried to cope up on everything because everything around her was new for her, the food, the language and on the people moved.

She motioned everybody to silence, "Everybody, I wanted to announce you the marriage of my daughter Princess Bridgette to a royal prince, Prince Rosh of the Southern kingdom" she said loudly

Everybody seemed to be happy about the announcement. The musicians played a joyful sounds and the people sing and dance to the melody on the other side, Bridgette was shocked;

"Wait, wait a minute" she was trying to understand everything "Am I getting married soon?" she asked

Everybody with them got little confused on how she behaves, "Our princess, are you sick?" the butler asked her

She tried to remember everything then she realized that she was in the different time, and she needs to find Marcus on that time, "I'm sorry, maybe I'm a little bit tired" she held her head pretending to be dizzy "I need to have some rest" she turned her back then her maidservants assisted her towards her room.

The queen looked at her way, "Sebastian, do you think that the princess hit her head on anything? She can't remember anything about this" she asked her butler

"Maybe your majesty, she was acting weird since yesterday" he answered

When Bridgette (Cassiopeia) came to her room she removed her dress and wear a night gown pretending to be asleep.

Her maidservants bowed before her, "Do you need anything your highness?" the head maidservant asked

She shook her head, "Nothing, thank you" she sat on her bed "I need to have enough rest, I think I'm not feeling well" then she lay down

Her maidservants put a pitcher of water and a glass on her table then they left her alone.

When she noticed that she was alone in her room, she stood up and looked for the box that Marcus gave to her. She looked at it very well inside her drawer, closets and even on her accessory box. She was calmed down when she saw it on one of her drawers, "I found you!" she was very happy then she sat down on her bed again and looked carefully to the box. As she recalled everything, the box made a portal so that she will be in different time to make her safe. She suddenly sad when she remembered Marcus and their promise that they will meet each other no matter would be.

"I need to find Marcus right away" she said with determination and with the hope that she can see Marcus again. Then someone knocked on her door, she immediately got back to her bed and pretending that she was asleep.

Her butler came in, he bowed in her presence "Your majesty, I know that you are pretending to be asleep" he said

She was very shocked when she heard that, "I am not feeling well, butler" she answered

"I'm Sebastian your highness, the butler of the Queen" he answered "The king summoned you to meet the craftsman for your shoes and for your new jewelry box" he said

When she heard craftsman, she immediately got up "please tell to the king that I'll be there after a few minutes" she said

The butler gave her respect and then left.

In hurry, she get dressed and apply some make ups to be presentable then she walked in rush in the lobby but when she reached the room where the craftsman and the king stayed she took a deep breath and act like a decent princess. When she entered the door, she bowed before the king, "Your majesty, I'm here" she said then she lift her head up

He motioned her to sit down on the chair next to him, "our Princess, you told me last week that you needed a new shoes and new jewelry box for your accessories, is that right?" he asked

She was confused on how she answer, "Yes father" she said but she didn't know if that is the correct answer

"My princess, this is Mark" he introduced the craftsman "his family is serving us as our craftsman" he added

She was very shocked because the man was very looked alike with Marcus, "Marcus, is that you?" she can't believed that she can find Marcus as easy as that.

Everyone around them astonished because Mark is the present craftsman after his father for many years.

Mark saw that she started to cry, "Pardon, your highness but I'm not Marcus" he said trying to make her stop from crying

She felt little embarrassed on what he said, "I'm sorry" she wiped her tears then one of her maidservants gave her a handkerchief, "Thank you" she said

Mark trying to smile, "I'm sorry to disappoint you, our princess" he apologized

She wave her hand, "No, I'll be the one to apologize because I thought you are my lost friend because you are looked alike very well" she said

For a day, they discussed the things that princess needs for her room but she can't take her eyes off to him because he was looked alike to Marcus so much. The afternoon comes, they can feel the cold breeze and they appreciate the color of the sun in the sunset but still Bridgette, in her heart she knew that Mark is Marcus.

"Your majesty" he said to the king "I'll take a week to finish all the demands of the princess because I need to buy a good quality materials for it" he added

The king thinks, "Alright, if you need something or any privilege to have those finest materials you can tell me" he answered

"Thank you, your highness" he bowed before him "I'll leave for the mean time" he said then he turned her back

"Wait a minute!" she exclaimed with hesitation

He stopped and looked to her, "Anything you need, princess?" he asked with a smile

"Bridgette" the king said

She looked down because of embarrassment, "Sorry father, but I want to asked if he will come back by tomorrow?" she asked

He turned his back, "If you wish princess but I need to buy the materials that I needed for your demands" he answered "see you soon princess once I finished your demands" then he left

She can't take her eyes to him even in the time he left, her heart throbs with happiness and sadness. The happiness in her heart gave her warmth because she found the guy that she needs to look for and the sadness that made her gloom because he can't remember anything about them when they are in the fairy kingdom. After that, she told to her father that she will come back to her room to sleep again.

As she walks the way towards her room, she can't stopped herself from crying "What happened Marcus, you told me that you will find me no matter would be" she said trying to stop herself from sobbing. She opened her door and she didn't turn on the lights after she closed the door, she threw herself to the bed and cried there so much until she fell asleep.

In the next day, she waiting the craftsman from morning to afternoon but she was very disappointed when no Mark came that day. Her heart at that time filled with sadness, she prayed that one day Marcus will remember everything about them. She was longing for him so that the next day she instructed her butler to call him then after an hour he was with the royal guards;

He bowed to her, "Your highness, do you need something from me?" he asked politely and trying to smile even though he was very nervous because of the princess facial expression.

"Please, lift your head up" she said firmly "I need something from you" she added

The craftsman became too nervous because he didn't know why the princess seemed to be angry to him, "What is it princess?" he asked, he was trying to be calmed but as he can see the face of the princess he thought that he will be fired by her

She walked towards him, "Guards, you can go back to your post" she said then she motioned them to leave

He was more nervous about it, "Your highness, did I done anything wrong with you?" he asked stuttering

When they left them in the room, she suddenly smiled "Nothing Mark, I just wanted to be with you" she said trying to laugh his facial expression

Mark didn't know if he will be mad at her or he just leave it as is, "Princess Bridgette, do you still think that I am Marcus that you are looking for?" he asked calmly

"Can you wait me here?" she asked him

He being impatient that time, "Princess, I need many things to do, I have no time to play with your games" he said "I need to work for us to have food" he added

She smiled at him before she turned her back to him, "Don't worry, I'll bring some money buy food for you and for your family" she said "Please wait for me for awhile, I'll just change my clothes" then she went to her room and after a few minutes a woman in a common clothes appeared to him

He crossed his arms, "Miss, where is the princess? I'm waiting her for minutes" he said

Bridgette suddenly laughed, "Mark, I'm the princess that you are waiting" she took off the hood from her head, "Sorry if you waited that long, so shall we go?" she asked him. She walked first towards the door and walked towards the gate of the palace that no one knew that the princess went out.

He tried to stop her, he held her to the shoulder "Your highness, I'll be punished if someone knew that you runoff from the palace and you are with me" he whispered to her

She hid her face to the hood, "Don't worry no one will know about this, so calm down" she continued to walk until they reached the last gate of the palace. Bridgette was very happy that time, "Alright! So where we go first?" she asked

He was little confused, "Going to where?" he asked her

"You told me that you will buy the materials that you needed for my demands right?" she asked

He nodded, "Yes, but its already noon I can't everything that I need by this time" he answered

She thinks, "So is that mean that we can't buy anything at this time?" she asked

"Yes, princess" he answered

She came near to him, "Can I asked you a favor?" she asked

He became aloof for a second, "What is it?" he asked

"Can you call me Cassiopeia instead of Princess Bridgette?"

"But why?"

She turned her back to him and then closed her eyes to feel the cold air in the middle of heat of the noon, "That's my real name, and I want to be free even at this time" she faced him "Is that alright with you?" she asked

Even he was very hesitant, he needs to agree to her favor or else he will be punished, "You can go to our house today for lunch but princess ..." he stopped and remembered her favor "Cassiopeia our house is simple and small" he said

"It's fine with me, don't worry about it" she answered then she walked first before him then she suddenly realized that she didn't know where Mark lives so she stopped, "I'm sorry, where is your house?" she tried to smile to ease the feeling of embarrassment

He just smiled at her then walked preceded her, "Please follow me" he said then he shook his head because he didn't know what is the attitude of the princess.
