Chapter 5 New secretary

FIVE YEARS LATER

It was an exceptionally cool Monday morning. A man in a suit can be seen walking down the stairs with a gloomy face.

He's got very long black hair like that of a female and his beard was no different.

His pace was brisk and rough that he got to the doorstep in no time.

He was about to open the door when someone dragged him back and he stomped his foot on the floor before grunting angrily because he knew who it was.

The perpetrator turned out to be his younger sister.

"Why?" He asked in just a word that she couldn't help but to sneer.

"Don't give me that look, Did you fire your secretary again?" She snapped at him and placed both her hands on her waist.

"Why must I report that to you?" He demanded in a low husky tone.

"Why are you firing every single secretary? What the hell am I saying? They resigned themselves. None of them can dare to spend a week with you, they always end up running off! Must you be that hard on them?" She complained in a very worried tone.

"If you're done can I go?" He smirked, disregarding her nags.

"Stop! You can't do this alone. This is a company that is just getting into the limelight, you need a competent secretary with_ _

"I can help myself!" He cut her off.

"How can you ever_ _

"Nag me one more time and I'll send you back to your parent's house!" He chipped in once again and she slowly sucked her lips in.

"I'm sorry you can go!" She whispered silently and he turned around immediately.

He opened the door and walked out of the living room.

"That cold bastard! Your parents...? Cut the drama jerk, they are your parents too!" She scoffed as soon as he heard his vehicle leave the compound.

"Get a haircut, you look like a caveman!" She added in a yell and left for her workplace as well.

Yeah! That was Ryan Erwin and Tamina Erwin.

They were both living a new life away from their parents. In the past five years a lot of changes took place.

Ryan became an ice, an ice hearted young guy. No one can handle his ice cold temper, not even a single person.

He had hired more than twenty secretaries in the past five months; they didn't have the energy to work with him.

The one who was said to be persistent ran away in just two weeks without even leaving a resignation letter. That required a lot of courage as well.

He is not much of a yeller but his silence can kill.

The way he responds, the way he looks at them, it was all enough to make them go bonkers.

It turns out he couldn't stand any woman, they gave him the creeps.

"What are you doing? Park gently and neatly!" He snapped at his driver who pulled over in the company's garage carelessly.

"I'm sorry, sir!" He apologized and Ryan got out of the car without saying anything.

"Good morning sir! Good morning!" The employees greeted as soon as they saw him, even though they knew he wouldn't reply.

The employees are mostly male, they had only a few females among them. And to be exact the female employees always avoid him as much as they can. They all ran off as soon as his car entered the office building.

Meeting him is just like an automatic resignation.

They all keep off as soon as his vehicle enters the office's building.

He got to his office after ignoring like almost fifty greetings and scaring the hell out of the staff.

There's no one to welcome him or clean up for him, he has to sort out everything on his own. Well, that's his choice.

He only works in the office and leaves for home in the evening. That's his normal routine.

He's like a robot!

He took his seat and started working Immediately.

He was scribbling down something on a piece of paper fastly when the door to his office opened and he sighed before slamming the pen in his hand roughly on the table.

"Don't you know the word "knock"?" He inquired silently but harshly at the same time.

"I'm sorry!" The unfamiliar and childish voice replied, but he was not even curious to know who it was.

"What do you want?" He demanded instantly.

"Good morning, nice to meet you. I'm your new secre_ _

"Get out, I don't need a female secretary!" He cut her off without even looking up.

"They told me you'll be like this so I'm not surprised! I guess I have to tolerate this attitude since I'll be working here", she replied almost immediately.

The rude remark got him stunned and he was forced to look up.

His eyes met with the outstandingly and uncommonly beautiful goddess standing in front of him.

It seems like an illusion because the beauty was almost unbelievable, the oval face, the sharp jaw, the pointed nose and her extremely small pink lips.

It's not like he had a change of heart but the beauty is rare, that was why he's stunned.

"You finally look up, I guess we can communicate like humans now!" She let out another rude remark.

Ryan grabbed his pen on the table immediately and he gripped it tightly.

"Who the hell are you? You can't work for me with that attitude and who sent you here in the first place?" He suddenly became chatty.

"Let me introduce myself properly.... I'm Alexa Sam Cruz, your new secretary!" She smiled widely and he felt electricity rushed through his system, and the pen in his hand slipped off immediately.

The shock he felt cannot be explained with words. As his eyeballs threatened to pop out if it's socket.

It felt as if he got hit on his head with a blunt metal, this can't be true!

"What... What did you call your name? Say that again!" He panicked but she merely crinkled up her brow.

"Alexa Sam Cruz!" She repeated and he sprang up immediately.
