Chapter 5 My Husband is an Emperor

The Emperor Woke up when his fever went down. But the pallor is still obvious in his appearance.

"Your Majesty, why did you leave the palace? What you did was very dangerous," I said, sitting next to him and wiping his hand and face with a wet towel.

"Empress Yeng..." he said my name, I was waiting for him to say his reason but I was disappointed. Emperor Rhizhi is very secretive. One reason why I resent this is that I can't feel that he trusts me.

My friend Xijie entered the room. And immediately reported what was learned from outside.

"Princess Yeng, there are many soldiers outside the forest. They want to enter, because they are looking for the Emperor. Looks like the Emperor needs to go home."

I suddenly felt nervous. The Queen Mother already knew that we were outside the palace. Surely there is a punishment in store for me, when the dear Emperor and I return to the palace. I stared at the Emperor, his pain was so bad. I couldn't help but go back to the palace. I'll just accept what my punishment will be when I get there.

"We are going back to the palace, Xijie."

His eyes widened at what I said, as if he didn't like my decision.

"You will put your life in danger, Princess Yeng? I cannot allow you to be punished just because of the Emperor's negligence!" it said angrily,

"Xijie... I can't let the Emperor down. I want to see him safe," I explained to my friend. But it was not happy with my decision. Even if Xijie is against my decision, there is nothing he can do about it. It just waited until we reached the palace.

At the palace, the Queen Mother immediately summoned me.

"What foolishness are you doing, Empress Yeng? You brought your wife to eat? Do you really want him to die?! Blasphemy! Don't you know the punishment for what you did?" The Queen Mother said angrily.

I went and begged there. "Queen Mother! Please forgive me for what I have done, I did not want to endanger your majesty. I can't do that to him!" I said crying,

"You can't bring the Emperor back to life if he dies in that place! And to pay for what you have done, you must be punished!" he shouted at me at the same time as he poked his hand.

"Queen Mother! Do not! Do not!" I pleaded with him, I kept bending down to ask for forgiveness but the soldiers grabbed me by the arm and tried to pull me away from the Queen. But they were stopped when a voice suddenly spoke from the opening of the door.

"Stop that!" he shouted even though his body was still weak he was able to reach to help me.

"Emperor Rhizhi, what are you doing here?" asked the Queen Mother.

The Emperor walked slowly, his condition obviously getting worse.

"Your Majesty?!" I immediately approached it and supported it,

It looked at me before turning to the Queen Mother.

"Mother, don't punish Empress Yeng, she is innocent of what happened. I left the palace to follow him. I was the one who voluntarily left the palace so don't punish him," he explained to the Queen Mother.

My eyes widened at the Emperor's defense of me. Why is he doing this, when I have no value to him?

"Is what he says true, Empress Yeng?" the Queen Mother asked me. I looked at the Emperor, and I saw in his face that he was worried about me. So I again faced the Queen Mother to approve what the dear Emperor said.

"Yes, Queen Mother. What your majesty said is true," I said,

"In that case, the next time you leave the palace. Say goodbye to me, so I can know what's going on with you. The Emperor cannot go out of the palace because too much can happen to him. Especially when he feels bad. You may leave," he ordered authoritatively so we left in front of the Queen Mother.

Arriving at the majesty's room, I immediately looked at it again, to find out what it was like. I pumped him again before applying first aid. His loyal soldier General Shon arrived later with Princess Ching.

"Send him out of the Emperor's room," he ordered the general,

"Empress Yeng, you may leave the majesty's room," he told me, but I just gave Princess Ching a bad look.

"Maybe it's because of you, Princess Ching, that your majesty's condition is getting worse," I said to her, which just made me laugh.

"Don't be so sure, Empress Yeng. Because I can't do that with majesty. His pain is getting worse because of you!" it said with glazed eyes,

"Princess Ching!" the General stopped, Princess Ching was silent and suddenly realized what he said.

"What do you mean it's my fault?" I asked in surprise, standing up to face Princess Ching, but the Emperor's hand stopped me. He held my hand so I couldn't leave his side.

"Leave us alone," the Emperor ordered in a weak voice, he closed his eyes but knew what was happening.

Princess Ching hurried out of the room, accompanied by General Shon. The Emperor left us both so I immediately asked him.

"Your Majesty, is what Princess Ching said true?" I tearfully asked,

The Emperor opened his eyes, he looked at me before moving his hand to bring my palm to his chest.

"Don't worry, Empress Yeng. I will get better too," he promised me,

I didn't get the answer I was hoping for. I still have in my mind the words I am the reason why the majesty's condition is getting worse. How could I be the cause? Couldn't he have married me because of my treatment? I will heal him.

Because of the thought, I fell asleep next to the Emperor. I sat on the edge of his bed with my eyes closed. And when I woke up I was hugging the Emperor.

I suddenly covered my mouth because of the tickle that suddenly came out of there.

The Emperor woke up so I quickly got up.

"So sorry! Sorry, your majesty!" I apologize for this, but he just smiled so I felt my cheeks heat up. I immediately ran out of the room. I met Geneal Shon, he stared at me so I immediately covered my cheek and ran down the hallway to my room.

"What happened to me? Why am I hugging the majesty? Heyyyy! It's annoying, what am I doing and I didn't realize what I was doing!" I was restless at that time, until I decided to sit on the bed. Later, my servant came with the breakfast he made for me.

"Your majesty, your food is here." He put the food on the table.

"Thank you," I said,

After the food was placed, it immediately knelt down in front of me.

"Your majesty, please punish me for being careless."

I frowned at what my waiter said. "What do you mean?"

"I neglected not to bring you food last night. The Emperor forbade waking you up because you were tired and stayed up. That's why I haven't been able to approach you to wake you up. Punish me for my sin, Your Majesty!" it said while turning again.

"Stand up, you are innocent. I'm fine, the fact is I'm not hungry." I stood up and approached him, before whispering a question. "W-what did you see last night? Did I do something I don't know about?" My question looked red, so my waiter answered with a laugh.

"I don't think there's anything noble about it, it's only natural for you and your husband to hug each other while sleeping, isn't it?" he said with a smile on his lips.

"Huh? What I did was shameful. Maybe the Emperor thinks I'm like that! Maybe he won't watch me in his room again." I hit my forehead, because of the annoyance I feel. But on the other hand, every time I remember how the Emperor and I looked, my cheeks turn red and I suddenly smile.

After changing clothes, I returned to the Emperor's room. I am no longer forbidden to enter there, but Princess Ching still does not stop serving the Emperor. For a while, I thought of a good way to make the princess fail in poisoning the majesty. I immediately went to the kitchen and made bread for the majesty. I didn't just make bread, inside the bread I put an antidote to counter the poison made by the princess. After I did that, I immediately brought the bread to the Emperor's room. Princess Ching was still there and was currently preparing the Emperor's meal.

"Your majesty, I made bread for you." I put the bread on the table but Princess Ching immediately took it and took it away from the majesty. I was amazed at what it did,

"The Emperor cannot eat any other food. A lot is forbidden to him, don't you know that, huh? Oh yes, by the way. How do you know that when you know nothing but the Emperor's condition is complicated!" it promised me,

"Princess Ching!" shouted the Emperor, so it was silent again. "Put the bread down, I want to taste it," he ordered.

"But your majesty-"

"Put it down!" its authoritative order, so Princess Ching could do nothing but obey the Emperor's order. Emperor Rhizhi picked up a piece of bread. It was immediately tasted, and it smiled deliciously at the special antidote-infused bread I made.

"You did a good job, Empress Yeng." The Emperor's words made me smile, but Princess Ching did the opposite. It just grabbed the food before saying goodbye to leave the room. The Emperor and I were left behind, so I sat next to him.

"Are you all right, Your Majesty?" I ask here,

He looked at me before nodding. "I'm quite okay, because the doctor who watched over me last night was good," he said so I suddenly felt my cheeks turn red again, I went to what the Emperor said.

"Your Majesty, I want to go out of the palace. I just have to do something." I was going to say goodbye to it but suddenly it looked different. Seems annoyed because of what I said,

"What will you do? Will you go back to your friend? How important is your friend that you can't help but go there?" frowned when asked,

"Your Majesty, what I do is important. I can't tell you, just like you don't tell me about your illness. Wait... are you jealous, Your Highness?" I asked here, but he suddenly stopped and avoided his face.

"Stop those questions, Empress Yeng!" it says seriously,

I smiled and tried to look at his disgusted face. "Really? Admit it because you're jealous that's why you don't want me to go back there," I laughed and said,

"Empress Yeng! Don't lead me on! Stop that," he told me,

"Really? You don't want to admit it? Okay fine... I'm still going." I stood up to leave his room, but suddenly he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. So I lost my balance and sat on his lap. At the same time, he touched my cheek and kissed me suddenly.

I was shocked by what the Emperor did, until two soldiers came because of a rustling sound in the Emperor's room. They saw what was happening to both of us. They were stunned and did not move immediately. I felt them coming, so I suddenly pushed the Emperor in the chest and stood up suddenly.

My face was red as I turned my back on the Emperor. While the soldiers smiled at what they witnessed.

"Starting today, Empress Yeng is not allowed to leave the palace without permission from me. Do you understand?" Emperor Rhizhi said to the two soldiers in front of us.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" they responded at the same time, that's why I just ran out of the room and there it was as if I was trying to stop myself from screaming. I was smiling as I walked down the hall when I met my waiter.

"Your Majesty, are you all right?" he asked me because I was smiling like I was out of my mind. I nodded in response.
