Chapter 5 In trouble

"But you really need to figure out who they are," I told her.

"Yes, yes ma'am," she said sarcastically and even saluted me.

I love her so much. She is the only family I got and I can do anything for her. Yes, we may not be related but we have been together since we were infants in the orphanage.

"I still can't believe you met Ace, you bitch," she said, making me roll my eyes at her stupidity.

"Why are you behaving as if he is a certain god?" I asked her.

"Come, even his photos themselves shout how handsome he is. And I know that the photos have not yet done justice to him," she said, making me chuckle.

Just admit it bitch. My subconscious mocked me.

Sometimes, I can't understand why it opposes me rather than backing me up.

But the truth be said. He is so handsome, actually, I cannot stop thinking about him. Actually his pretty green eyes. I love green because it describes nature. The moment I locked my eyes and his, it was like nothing was around me. It was as if I was in a forest, admiring its beauty and nature.

"Hae," I heard and was being tapped. I snapped and looked at Ivy.

"What?" I asked irritatingly.

"Nothing dude. It is just that I am talking to you. Damn, I even called you but you were not answering," she said, making me that guilty for that.

"I am sorry," I apologised.

"Ehem. So what were you thinking of?" She asked.

"Nothing," I said and continued watching.

"No way you are just going to ignore me. At least tell me about his features," she said while nagging me.

"Come on. You have seen a lot of his pictures," I told her.

"Yeah. That is right. But you know that you really compare a picture and when you see someone physically," she said.

"Just like your photos from snapchat are different from the real you?" I asked her.

"Did you have to?" She asked, making me laugh at her face.

"Hae, I'm sorry. You know I didn't mean it," I told her truthfully.

"I know that you said that just to make me stop asking you about him," she said.

I assumed that I did not hear her.

"So in short, you claim that Ace uses snapchat?" She asked, making me choke from the popcorn I was eating.

"What? When did I say that?" I asked her.

"You said that one's pictures are different from how they look," she said.

"And did you hear the name Ace mentioned there?" I asked her.

"But...." I interrupted her.

"No. Just answer me," I told her cause I really did not want to listen to her complaints.

"No but...," I cut her off once more.

"There you go. I did not mention his name," I said.

"You are not funny," she said while getting out of my room.

"Just got to sleep already," I shouted at her.

"Yeah. Am going cause you are not cooperating with me," she said.

"Liar," I mumbled and continued watching.

After an hour, the soap opera ended. I switched off the tv and took out my laptop. I am not yet sleepy. I decided to search for the most wanted men.

It is not that I will go and kill or see but I like to know them in case I mean with them. That does not mean that I don't kill them. If I get assigned to kill or hear rumours about one who is trafficking women, I don't hesitate. I am lucky because no one knows who the Poison is. Therefore, most of the time I seduce them then kill them in the room. Fun right? I got bored because there was no new name. I found myself searching for Ace Vincenzo. I just don't know what came over me. But it is true that he is more handsome in person. Even though most of his pictures have ladies, there was a lady who was in most of them. I guess she is his girlfriend because he does not have a wife. I don't know much about his family but what I know is that he has two siblings. I am aware of the fight between the Russian Mafia and the Italian Mafia. Honestly, I like and side with the Italian mafia because the Russians Mafia traffic women and children. We have been trying to get the location where they are held but we have not yet succeeded. They are really good at hiding. And the fact that 'The Poisoning' is searching, they are more careful than ever but am sure that I will stop them once and for all.

Children are supposed to go to school, enjoy their childhood. Not being sold into slavery to work for their so called masters. Some of them when they turn to teenagers are raped. Others are sold as sex spaces at the age of 13 so yeah I have to work extra hard to find the location and rescue them before they are sold. In the past, it was upon the Italian Mafia to rescue them and they always did. This time, I want to be the one to save them. Yes, I can work with the Italian Mafia so that we can rescue them but that will be putting my identity at stake. I am already wanted by the mafia so I cannot collaborate with them. It is believed that the former Russian mafia leaders were killed by the former Italian Mafia leaders during an auction to sell the children and women. It gives me a headache just thinking about all of that. I just hope that the Russian Mafia would be stopped at once.

Keeping the laptop aside, I stood up and walked to the balcony. I saw a child playing with his parents. What are they doing at night? It's like they are vampires. You know, how the vampires only get out at night. Anyways, who am I to judge? Sometimes I wish that I had my parents with me. That they had not abandoned me. I have always imagined how my life would have been if they were here with me. I am sure that I would have never met Ivy and would not be an assassin. I bet everything happens for the best and for a reason.
