Chapter 5 The Strongest Pack

"Then Elija will be dead before the day is over!" Alfonzo said this as he shook his head.

"Hmm, since I've been at Phantom, I've only seen Jonas get angry once, and that was when you sent him to his room!" Joey says with a laugh.

Uncle Alfonso looked at me and then gave Joey a dirty look. "That's wrong! Jonas left his room. I didn't expel him!" He says something and smiles at me sweetly.

My mother says, "Hmm, Tamara, you should thank Jonas for the room." She then looks at Alfonzo in a thoughtful way.

"I had no idea. Mom, Jonas can go back to his room, and I'll take the other one, "I said with a red face.

"Don't worry about it. It's already decided, and I told you before that the house is full of people because all of them live here."

I don't have to look behind me to see the newcomer, who is the only person in Phantom City who can make me shiver without doing anything...

"I'm glad you made it to dinner, Jonas. Please sit next to Tamara,"

I don't really know what my mom wants to do. Since there aren't many people at the table, why does she want Jacob to sit next to me?

"Elija, congratulations! You're still alive!" Vic yelled as he watched the two people in their chairs.

"I was an Alpha in my last pack, too, so I'm not easy to beat!" Elijah's remarks make me look at him.

"You're an alpha? I thought that Jonas was the leader?" I didn't understand.

"Lolita, why didn't you tell Tamara about the Phantom pack? She doesn't seem to know anything, "Alfonzo poked fun at my mom by looking at her.

"Well, my mom loves surprises, and she always wants me to be surprised,"

I tell my mom while making a face at her.

Jonas said in a stingy way, "My pack is made up of Alpha-rogues."

While he was talking, he wasn't looking at me, so I could look at his face.

"Yes, you're right! We are all Alphas in our former pack, which might not be clear, "Tito said it with pride.

"So everyone in the Phantom pack is an Alpha, and Jonas is your Alpha? Is he powerful?" I felt compelled to ask.

I still don't believe it because not every Alpha is as strong as my old Alpha, who is so weak that even I can beat him easily.

Everyone at the table looks at me like I'm from another planet.

Even Jonas, who cares a lot about food, looked at me as if my question was fascinating.

My mother smiled and held my hand as she said, "Please forgive my daughter; she doesn't know anything about the outside world."

"I heard that Tamara is strong, so why don't we have a match?" Alfonzo said this as he filled my mother's glass with water.

Elija, who had been quiet for a long time, finally said, "Then I can have a match with Tamara."

"Wow! Are you so strong, Tamara, that even Elija will follow your uncle's advice?" Joey yelled out.

"So, what did you think? She is Franco and Lolita's daughter, "Alfonzo answered as if I were his daughter, with pride.

Jonas said as he took a sip of his wine, "Then it's settled. Elija and Tamara can play tonight."

"I won't do it because I want to know how strong the alpha is!" I yelled as I looked straight at Jonas.

Because I was being stubborn, there was a lot of noise in the dining room, but I didn't care. Instead, I gave Jonas a smirk as if I was daring him to say yes to my request.

Jonas says, "Fight Elija. If you beat him, then you can fight me." He then stands up.

"In ten minutes, the fight will start, so be ready, and I'll wait in the backyard!" Jonas walked out and didn't look back.

"How dare you, Tamara, ask your brother to fight you!" My mom hit me on the arm.

"Mom! What's wrong with that? I'm just wondering. If I want to join his pack, my Alpha must be much stronger than I am, "I figure out.

"Let her do what she wants, Lolita, but I need to tell you something. Jonas doesn't care if you're a boy or a girl. If he challenges you to a fight, he means it, so be careful, "Alfonzo asserted.

I went back to my room after dinner and changed my clothes.

I also tied back my waist-length hair so it wouldn't get in the way of my fighting.

I open my door and say, "Hmm, I wish Elija was stronger than me."

"Really? You hope that Elijah will be stronger than you." Jonas says something with an eyebrow raised.

"What do you want to do here?" I asked about it and looked in the hall. To make sure that no one is nearby.

"Don't tell me you forgot my room is next to yours," Jonas said as he looked at what I was wearing.

"I thought we were going to begin in 10 minutes? What are you doing still?" I question. Jonas stood in my way when I tried to get by him.

"Elija is good at fighting close up. He got ready to hit him, "Jonas said and grinned.

"What's the point of telling me this? Do you want me to beat Elija so we can fight?" When Jonas moves, I say something and take a step back.

"Tamara, you know I can beat you without using my strength, so why would I bother with your childishness?" Jonas replied and took another step.

Jonas took advantage of the fact that I ran away and was able to go back into the room. He shut the door right away and grinned.

"What do you have in mind? I don't want them to have to wait! So don't stand in my way!" I screamed. But Jonas kept staring at me, so I decided to use force. I didn't think twice before throwing my fist full force at Jonas' face.

"Hmm, do you think I'm weak, or are you just very sure of yourself? You and your friends think that all men are weak." Jonas said yes as I closed my hand into a fist.

Jonas quickly put my hand on my back and wrapped one arm around my neck, so I couldn't answer.

"What are you doing ?!" When I felt his breath in my ear, I asked out of fear.

"What? Even though I'm not doing anything, you attack me, right?" Jonas spoke in a whisper to tease.

I tried to take Jonas's hand away, but he turned me around so I could see him.

"Jonas..."
