Chapter 4 Bad Weather

The weather was a little bit dark when I woke up. I had practiced effortlessly with the heels last night, and I'm just hoping that I don't ruin myself out there.

I went to the bathroom for a quick shower. Emma had come earlier to drop my breakfast.

I did everything quietly so as not to wake Lina up but she eventually woke up.

" Morning, " I greeted.

" Morning. " She greeted back. " You still haven't told me where you're going to. "

I sat on my bed, looking at her curious face. I didn't want to tell her for any reason, but I have to.

If there's anyone to tell, it's her. She's my roommate and she deserves to know whatever I do.

" Mrs Johnson wants me to go to the Ford Motor Company for some new cars she had requested. " I said.

" New cars? " She asked. " What for? "

" For the organization. She said we needed new cars fast enough to catch wolves. "

" Oh, I see then. " She yawned, stretching. " So, how long will you have to be going there? "

" I don't know, it's up to Mrs Johnson to decide. "

" Okay, take care of yourself. "

I nodded. I started eating on my served food, I didn't notice I was long lost until Lina asked, " Are you alright? "

I looked at my food, then at her. " Yes, sure. "

" Do you think you can walk on those? " Her eyes diverted to where I had kept the hills.

I shrugged. " I'm gonna try. "

Am I, yes of course...

I quickly dressed up, making my way to Mrs Johnson's office. From afar I saw her enter her office, I wasn't late after all.

After a knock which she permitted me in, I saw her as she put something inside a big brown envelope.

" This are the pictures of the new car I had ordered. " She said, " You'll have to submit it to him, the rest is up to him. "

" After I give this envelope to him, I will be returning back? "

" Yes. But, it's likely he might decide to have some few words with you, it's still up to him to decide. "

" If he asks me how many cars do we need, what am I to tell him? " I asked.

" Twenty. " She replied, " We need twenty of them. And by the way, you look great in that gown. "

I blushed as I stared at myself, " Thank you. "

We waited for the vehicle who is to take me to the company to arrive.

It was almost getting to 7 o'clock that the sun has already left it's best to surface the earth.

Lydia entered to inform us that the driver has arrived. " He's here. " She informed.

I looked at Mrs Johnson who escorted me out of her office to where the car had packed.

" Try not to feel tensed up while talking to him, okay? " She said with a smile.

Even as we drove out of the organization, I still couldn't figure out what she meant by " Try not to feel tensed up while talking to him. "

I've come across different people, including managers and CEO's of different companies, why would this be so different?

The ride to Ford was slow and calm. The front seats was demarcated with a black dashboard which made it impossible for me to see who was driving the car.

I took my phone from my handbag, checking my status on any new updates when my phone buzzed.

I looked at the message, It was a message from Lina.

" Have you reached yet? " she asked.

" Not yet, I'm still on my way. "

" Send me a message when you get there. "

" I will. What're you doing now? " I asked.

" I'm at the cafeteria with Jesse. "

" Okay then, lemme not disturb you guys. "

" Lolz, you're not. So, how do you feel being on a sexy gown to meet a CEO of some kinda famous company? "

" Hmm. " I hummed, dropping a smiling emoji. " Haven't thought about that yet. "

" Well, guess that's another gist for tonight then. Don't forget to send me a message when you get there, okay? "

" I won't. " I smiled, dropping my phone beside me.

Finally, we arrived at the company. It looked huge and the surrounding looks so beautiful.

Everything were kept in order, cars of different types and sizes were arranged according to their brands and height.

I'm not over dreaming to say that this is a paradise of car production.

He opened the door for me, and I stepped out. My eyes not leaving any bit of it's beauty, and even as we walked to the main building, my mouth couldn't stop from gasping.

I've been to companies before, a lot of them at San Diego with my dad but I haven't seen any like this.

As we walk pass a pathway which looked like a bridge, I could get a clear view of where the cars were been manufactured and how they were kept in order of heights and sizes.

" This is incredible! " I gasped again. I mean, is this how cars are being made? " Oh, heavens, what am I staring at. "

We entered a glassy elevator which took us to the last floor of the twenty four storey building.

I noticed eyes were on me as we entered. I'm supposed to feel great with the murmurs and gasps but no, I was feeling shy and uncomfortable.

They were staring at me like I'm some kinda movie actress. And any mistake, I would be landing on the ground from a twisted ankle.

Thankfully, we were out from those weird gazes. We got to a place which almost felt like a cemetery.

There's one thing I noticed about this place since I walked in. Everywhere is being made of glasses and sparkling white.

" Please wait here. " He said and I sat on one of the chairs while he entered a room.

This specific

« Try not to feel tensed up while talking to him. » It was as if the word echoed in my head, causing a hard beat against my chest.

Why am I feeling this way right now? Why do I feel cold and... Am I shivering?

Oh no, not now.

" Miss, please follow me. " Said a young lady.

I followed her to the room, but I was asked to wait outside for a while.

" Sir, she's here. " I heard here say.

" Let her in. " Said a deep voice.

She opened the door, " Come in. " I entered while she walked out.

He was staring at his laptop, his glasses rested perfectly above his pointed nose.

I stood like a staff about to be sacked out of her job. Luckily, he closed his laptop, raising his gaze at me.

" Miss...? " He stretched out his hand for a handshake.

I took his hand, " Agent Ashley, Sir. "

" Please have a seat. " He ushered and I sat down.

" Mrs Johnson told me you were coming, did she give you the documents? "

" Yes, of course. "

" Let me have a look. "

I deepened my hand into my bag, taking out the brown envelope. " Here, " I handed it over to him.

He took it from me, staring at the photos one after the other.

He has a crescent-of-moon eyebrows. His roman nose and half-time cheekbones above his oaken jaw.

His nomad-blue eyes twinkled as he flipped the pages of the photos.

His daring personality and bass voice were a big part of his ambitious character.

It was written all over him, boldly and obvious that it cannot be hidden.
