Chapter 3 The Medical Legend

Randall rolled to his side and supported his head with his left arm.

In confusion, he asked, "Who are you? And what do you mean?"

"In ten minutes, there will be a car waiting at the school gate. Your life will change for the better if you enter it." The woman's voice was firm.

"What car exactly? There are so many cars at the school gate. How will I know the car in question?" Randall inquired hurriedly.

"The most expensive one!" With these words, the mysterious woman hung up the phone.

While Randall was wondering whether it was a prank, his phone vibrated.

He received a picture from the mysterious woman's number.

Randall's eyes bulged out of the sockets when he saw the photo.

Two men were pictured talking at a pub.

One of them was Perry.

And the other was a hefty man who had a ferocious face. Randall knew this face well. He would recognize him even if he was half awake.

This man was the one that drove a knife into his right hand.

How did these two know each other? Did this mean that what happened wasn't an accident?

Randall's forehead broke out in cold sweat as he thought of Perry setting the trap. He was so furious that he wanted to destroy everything within his reach.

"Fuck you, Perry! If you are the brain behind the accident, I will make your life a living hell!" Randall roared, clenching his fists. He mustered the strength to rush to the school gate.

When he got out, he saw a black and golden Rolls-Royce Phantom parked at the school gate.

It stood out amid the other cars. Even the Mercedes-Benz and BMW beside it were like toy cars now.

The back door of the car opened and a beauty dressed in a suit got out.

The black skirt she had on set off her curvy hips and slim waist.

Her boobs were so big that the buttons of her shirt seemed to be hanging for dear life.

The woman walked up to Randall. She pushed down her black-framed glasses and commanded, "Get in the car."

"And you are?" Randall asked curiously.

"My name is Amari Vance. My identity doesn't matter for now. You just need to come with me. There's someone you need to meet."

Amari's fragrance made Randall a little nervous.

But after hesitating for two seconds, he got into the car decisively.

The car roared to life and sped off once they got in.

Randall leaned against the window and looked out as several buildings and people were left behind. Shortly after, they arrived at the city center.

The car drove through a huge metal gate after entering a neighborhood that was only inhabited by the top one percent of the city.

Half of the expanse of land was a golf course.

The front quarter was a large garden.

There was a swimming pool and a gym by the side. A three-story hospital was in the center.

The hospital was a sight to behold. Its exterior decor was an eighteenth-century baroque style. It was so luxurious and magnificent.

Randall's eyes were wandering on the building when they fell on a large sign that read "Hodur Royal Infirmary."

He blinked his eyes in disbelief. His heart suddenly skipped a beat.

The hospital in front of him was the biggest private hospital in Sross.

Who on earth sent for me?

Could it be...?

Randall had questions bugging his mind, but he just followed Amari in a daze. They passed through the security check and took the elevator to the top floor of the hospital.

Amari led him to a door and said, "Dr. Turner is waiting for you. He wants to talk to you in private."

Dr. Turner!

The medical legend?

Randall's heart stomped once he heard that name. He turned the doorknob and walked in slowly. The strong smell of books and medicines hit his nose immediately.

A grey-haired man was standing in front of a bookshelf with his back to Randall.

Once Randall shut the door behind him, the old man uttered, "Welcome, Randall. What do you think about that photo you received earlier?"

Randall took a deep breath and replied, "Well, I came here to get to the root of the matter."

The old man spun on his heels with a smile. "What will happen once you do that? Can you take revenge by yourself? You would need wealth, power, dignity, and a name to make that happen. I can give you all of them as long as you agree to my terms. All those who have a hand in that accident can be brought to book in no time."

Randall realized that his guess was right, after all.

This old man was his role model. He was Stewart Turner, a legendary doctor.

His name was known all over the world. Those in the medical field held him in high esteem.

More so, he was the richest man in Sross.

Randall was a nobody compared to him. He didn't consider himself worthy of beholding such a person.

But why did Stewart send for him? And what exactly did he want from him?

Despite the shock, Randall took a deep breath and made up his mind. "Okay, I promise to do whatever you want!"

Randall was sure that Stewart probably knew a lot about him since he had managed to get that photo and have it sent to him.

This influential man wouldn't find it difficult to crush him if Randall disobeyed him.

"Great! Anyway, you are yet to do what I expect of you. You need to be trained first."

Stewart's words shocked Randall.

He curiously asked, "Dr. Turner, what could that be?"

"There is no rush. Let's talk about you first. To be an excellent doctor, you not only need to be brilliant, but also have a pair of stable hands."

What was Stewart driving at?

Just as Randall was confused, Stewart picked up a small bell and shook it gently.

Ding!

The door suddenly swung open. A group of doctors in doctors' gowns trooped in.

Two of them pressed Randall on a stretcher. An injection was sunk into his neck the next second.

"Have a good sleep. By the time you wake up, the nightmare will be over. The life you have never dreamed of will become yours soon."

Randall's vision suddenly became blurry. Once he heard Stewart's words, a question popped up in his fuzzy mind.

Was Stewart going to treat his disabled hand?
