Chapter 2 Sheer Embarrassment

Randall and Tonya had plans for the future. They were supposed to get married after graduation.

This was the promise Tonya made to Randall after he saved her that night. She vowed to stay by his side forever.

At the sight of him, Tonya slowly stood up and looked at him without a tinge of guilt.

"Bold of you to assume that I was serious, Randall. I was only kidding! I dated you because you had great potential as a student who performed well in his academics. I thought that you would make waves in the medical field after graduation. But now that your right hand is disabled, that can no longer be possible. Why do you still expect me to stay by your side?"

Perry also stood up. He pointed at Randall and cursed, "You idiot! How dare you interrupt us? Do you think I will be afraid of you because you blocked a knife with your bare hand? Jokes on you, stupid! You deserve what you got!"

Perry grabbed Tonya by the waist as he licked his lips. She rubbed his chest and batted her long eyelashes at him.

At this time, one of Perry's friends piped up, "I heard that this guy needed one hundred thousand dollars to treat his right hand. It seems he's here to borrow money. What a shameless bastard!"

Randall's face flushed with shame after his intention was laid bare.

Perry burst into laughter at the sight of this.

"You are as poor as a church rat. I'm dead sure you don't have to two hundred bucks, so one hundred thousand dollars is impossible for you!"

Randall's shoulders slouched. He wanted to leave before getting ridiculed even more.

But the expectant eyes of his family suddenly appeared in his mind.

The hopes of his loved ones were on him. He couldn't let them down. He had to realize his dream.

"Tonya, I put my life on the line just to save you that day. Please lend me one hundred thousand dollars. You know me well. I will pay you back." Randall swallowed his pride and begged. He was like a stray dog who was at the mercy of passersby.

Tonya sucked her teeth and yelled, "The nerve of you, Randall! Don't you think it's ridiculous to make such a request? We are no longer a couple. As you can tell, I'm dating Perry now. I won't give you a dime. Get lost!"

Randall's jaw dropped when he heard this. He looked up at Tonya. It was hard to believe that she was this heartless.

Perry left quietly and went to the bathroom.

A few seconds later, he returned with a bottle filled with yellow liquid.

"Loser, drink that and I'll lend you one hundred thousand dollars!" Perry laughed evilly and threw the bottle to Randall's feet.

Randall picked it up. The stench of urine immediately hit his nose.

He cursed, "You bastard! You have gone too far!"

Randall threw the bottle at Perry in a fit of pique. The cap of the bottle popped open, causing the urine to splash on Perry's pants.

"Ah! You bastard! Guys, beat him!" Perry roared and snapped his fingers at his friends.

Immediately, eight young men rushed up to Randall and pressed him to the mowed lawn.

Perry walked up and stamped Randall's head to the ground severally. He spat on him before storming off.

There were bruises and gashes on Randall's forehead. His blood slipped down, touching the corners of his eyes.

With his back on the ground, he painstakingly took out his phone from his pocket. It had been ringing off the hook.

As soon as the line was connected, a cold female voice came through.

"Do you want to have your revenge? Would you like to bring Perry to his knees?"
