Chapter 10 MODERN ERA; AT LAST

Fu Cheng stared at the back of the little girl running away from him after she said those words. A dangerous chuckle came out of his mouth. "How dare she?how dare she say she wants him after what she did?after causing him pain for years?.

He raked his hair with his fingers and went away.

Jasmine smiled at her little achievement. She finally told him she wanted him so he should be get ready to be chased. She doesn't even give a fuck about how he thinks of her cause soon he will know she's not the cause of his pain and he would surely accept her.

Days passed by and the talk of Min marrying Shang was off because her father totally disagreed. She knew he was going to though so she didn't even bother to stress herself. She had been ignoring Cheng since the day she said those words. She doesn't want to seem desperate or eager.

A night came and after having dinner,Jasmine went into her bedroom to sleep. The day's training made her exhausted and her bones felt so stiff because of the combat they were learning. Before it was only staying in a position for a long period but now,they are learning combat with Kong Fu.

She layed on the bed and thought of her home,her mother,her father,her friends and school. She slept off after thinking and soon after she heard the sound of something beeping. She struggled to open her eyes and they felt so heavy. The sound still beeping and she wondered where she was. The strong smell of medicine filled everywhere and it wasn't hard for her to know where she was. Her eyes flew open immediately and she studied her surroundings. Lots of thoughts started to fill her head. "How did she even get here,where was she..." At the time she was thinking,a very pretty Asian nurse entered the room and smiled at her.

"Nihao,you are awake,finally",The nurse said and studied her vitals with every other things.

"How did I get here?"Jasmine asked.

"You had an accident Miss Ambrose."

"Accident?that's not possible. I know I went to sleep after having dinner and now I'm here?how did you even know my name?.and wait a moment which hospital is this and how did I even had an accident?"Jasmine poured down so questions at the nurse.

"So,Miss Ambrose,you forgetting what happened before you got into an accident means you have a partial amnesia. And I know your name because it was written in your passport. And this is Chung Jia Hospital and how you got into an accident,the police will tell you.The doctor will come and see you soon." The nurse said and left.

Jasmine kept looking around and wondering what had happened. She was in a novel and now,what is this? She's in Beijing for true or she's still in the novel?

She got down from the bed and removed the cannula. Blood gushed instantly and she picked up the cotton wool and plaster that was placed at a side on the table. She picked a scissors and kept it in her front pocket and walked out.

She got out of the room and walked towards the elevator. She got into it and went down. The reception was bussing with people as the doctors and nurses where fucking busy with patients.

She slipped out of the hospital with no one knowing and she ran off. Still in the hospital gown,she took the scissors she had in possession and cut off the gown, making into a short gown. Though it doesn't change the fact that she was in a hospital gown,she didn't care. It was a little bit preferable. She was in the hospital slippers and she cared less. All she wanted was to know how she got here. She walked and people kept staring at her. She knew she was pretty so whatever.

All of a sudden she raised her head up and damn!on the billboard was a picture of Lian and Lu Shen,they were getting married soon. "Oh shit!" was all Jasmine could say. So does this mean she's still in the novel but in the Modern Era. Fuck!Modern Era;at last!!!! Jasmine jubilated.

She was so happy that she didn't even notice when the sky started to cry. Feeling the dropping of the rain on her body,she decided to run back into the hospital. Chung Jia Hospital belonged to Lian and Min's Mother,and she didn't even have a place to stay so it was best she stayed there. It even seems like she's playing her own self role in this Era and not like the other time. What she just wonder is from where this story will begin from. In the book,Fu Cheng didn't know the real truth until Lian got married so that mean he doesn't know yet.

One thing she was most certain of was that Fu Cheng will be devastated by now. But after knowing the truth,he would become more devastated. His devastation this time would be because he had been living in unawareness. And though after he knew the truth,he was going to be free with Min. He wasn't going to return her feelings or was he? Jasmine got into the hospital and the nurse from earlier rushed to meet her. She requested a towel and it was given to Jasmine to dry herself as she was starting to freeze. She changed her dress and used another towel to damp her hair.

The nurse stood in front of her staring at her fiercely and asked, "where were you Miss Ambrose? you ran away right and you even cut the gown you were putting on and made it into a little gown."

"Well,I'm sorry for running away. I only realised I had nowhere to go to,so I decided to come back and I'm sorry for cutting the gown",said Jasmine.

"Do not try that again Miss Ambrose,you are still ill,so care about your health",said the nurse.

"Thanks,what's your name miss nurse?"

"I'm Wei young",said Nurse Wei
