Chapter 8 You were poisoned

Queen Melissa,Martha and Maisa followed the old woman inside the room as the guards waited outside.. "Lay on the bed" the old lady said Melissa lay down as she faced up at the old raged ceiling.. "You can call me Fiona" the old lady said..before carrying a little bowl as she put in some herbal leaves as a green liquid before mixing it as she speaks some ancient mandre language... After few minutes of mixing,she carried the mixture and rub on Melisa neck before rubbing it on her stomach as Martha help her to raise Melissa clothes...

"You were poison child" Fiona said as something start walking on Melissa vein running away from the medicine Fiona rub on her stomach and neck.. "How Godmother?" Martha asked "I can't say but it wasn't food poison because you would have been long dead if it was a food poison..this is something different,something not to kill you instantly but make you hate yourself,hate life at worst make you commit suicide because it will reach a stage you will began to smell due to the rotten of you internal organs my child..you were brave to come here earlier"..Fiona said as she turn to pick a book from the shelf.. "Then how comes my baby is still alive?"..Melissa asked as everything was strange for her.. "You are special Melissa,your ability to slow the poison down is what I'm trying to figure it out..but what I can say is that you conceived the day you were poison"...Fiona said as she taped on something from the page of the book "The day I last bed with my husband was the day I my daughter got injured "Melissa said trying to reason if Fiona can reason something out something out.. "Did you have a mandre blood Melissa?"Fiona asked as she could only think of a southern mandre who have the ability to protect themselves from the danger they sensed.. "Yes..my mother was a southern mandre"Melissa said.. "I said it..thats where you had the ability to fight the poison came my dear..it will take years before you get back to normal but your child is save..he has inherited that ability thats why you couldn't fight it fully"..Fiona said "Wait.. you called my child he?"Melissa said trying to understand what Fiona said.. "Yes the child in your stomach is a he Melissa."...Fiona said as she saw Melissa began to tear up "I have waited for years just to bear him an heir and here it is but I'm not healthy to even sure if I can live to protect my child"Melissa began to cry as she held Martha hands.. "You will leave to care for your child my queen..just stay calm and bear the prince healthy"...Martha said consoling Melissa "You will be healed Melissa but I can't tell you how many years it will take I promise"..Fiona said hating to see someone begging to live.. "Can someone get poison from hugging?"..Melissa asked because since Nella hugged her she can't understand her body system.. "Depends Melissa,if someone hugged you,you can get poison by either being sting with something or being robbed with poison"... "I got sting when Nella hugged me the night I bed with the king Martha...the child poison me to get access to my home Martha"..Melissa became furious as tears of anger began to fall from her eyes.. "Calm down your highness..you needs to get healed first,save the baby before you seek for revenge your highness"..Martha said feeling pity and anger... "My Adeya Martha..she's staying under a lions den..."Melissa said pitying her little daughter... "Don't worry Melissa,calm down and rest for the night..Martha will show your Guards were they will be staying for the time being..you will be staying here till you give birth..."..Fiona said as she exist the room living Martha and Melissa.. *********** its been five month since Melissa live the palace,life have been different for everyone,the maids only eat twice a day,the king became so strict with the maids all because of his wife,Adeya live like an abandon child..if not for Ann who makes sure she eat her meal properly,she too have been subjected to two meals a day.. Adeya who just came out of her room bumped into the five month and two weeks pregnant stepmother With her personal maids in the corridor...she bend her head as she try to pass without being noticed.the last time she got into a fight with her,her father didnt mind getting her punished she didnt believe her father will change just because his wife was pregnant with an heir.. She believe that she has only be loved by her mother all this while..she have tried to avoid him since then,the scar and pain she received,she can't go through it if she wants her mother to meet her healthy and alive.. "Dear Adeya I never new a small brat like you can be this humble"Nella said as she laughed stopping Adeya from moving forward.. "You should respect your pregnant wife dear STEPmother"Adeya said as she boldly pronounced the step before mother.. "Seems you need some new excersize to shut your running mouth".. "Sometimes it makes me think how childish you get to feel so insecure because of a 7 year old me Nella?"..Adeya said as she walked away... Nella was furious as she turn to go meet the king who just finish a meeting with his elite elders about the new building to construct for the villagers that their home collapsed due to the Change of weather..the rain fall at the west part of Ghia is very strong so they need to build a very strong home for them... Adeya went to meet Freda who was sent to fetch herbs from the palace forest within the palace hills.. "Are you OK Ade,? You look angry"..he said as he carried his small bag as Adeya followed from behind.. "What did you expect from a princess who her stepmother is hell bent on chasing her out of the palace" "Hmmmmm...when will queen Melissa comeback?"Freda asked still doubting the reason of the queens disparture.. "Its been long I talked to father so I'm not updated about my mother anymore"..she said as she raised her gown while walking along the forest road.. *************** Nella who barged into the king chambers as he fold a map and gave it to his chief general of his army.. "What makes you frown like that my queen?"Diatus asked Nella who stood at his front... "Your highness,have I not be in the palace enough to be a mother figure to your dear daughter?..anytime the little girl see me she just call me name's that I can't even call my elders"...Nella said forming a pity face.. "My queen she's a child who missed her mother alright,give her time she will adjust to you..she has even take me as an enemy because she believe I don't care for her..so let her be,she will come around dear" Nella went to sit in Diatus lap as she use her hand to rub his chest... "My king.....you know it hurts when a little girl declare you as her enemy..I just hope her mother comes back early"..Nella said watching the reaction of Diatus face.. Its been months since he last receive later from saline about his wife health..he just hope she will survive it.. "Like I said she will come around"Diatus said as he rub his hand on her stomach.. "Don't you missed me your highness,since I was declare pregnant you hardly touch me ..I miss you"..she said as she slowly use her hand to rub Diatus nipple inside the royal garment.. Since Nella came to the palace she always behave naughty especially when he sat on his throne... "If you miss me let's get to our bedroom not here on the throne Nella"..Diatus said as he carried the pregnant Nella to their chambers... ************ for the last five month Melissa has been placed on medicine and her stomach is very visible now but the medicine that she do take didnt make her heal,instead it protect the baby from the poison making Melissa weaker as she get closer to her delivery month... She's already eight month gone, her big protruding stomach can't make her move,she have been lieing down without moving as her body was too weak,Fiona said she will only start to get healed from the medicine if she delivered because her baby is very strong so he's using the medicine to fight against the poison.. Fiona still continue to feed her the herbal tea so she could survive delivery while she continue to rub the herbal medicine on her skin to remove the dark rotten colored forming on her skin... life have become very hectic for Melissa.........
