Chapter 9 Arrange a Bride

The pair was so engrossed in their act that they didn't even notice the two people standing at the door.

"GUARDS", Alec shouted at the top of his voice making everyone present there tremble with fear.

Elena's blood ran cold when she saw Alec. Her friend stood at the door like a statue with all colour drained from her face. "His bodyguards, Ben and Robert hurried towards him. "Take the guy" Alec said fiercely. The guards started dragging him,

"No Alec, please don't" Elena pleaded. "You don't have any right to say my name" Alec shouted again. Elena was scared out of her wits, she cried clutching the sheets tightly while she tried to cover herself. Harry started to struggle against the guards, but they overpowered him and dragged him to the door and started hitting him.

Seeing Harry being hit Elena cried harder, she then pleaded again, "Al.. Mr. Wilson please, I beg you don't harm Harry, please" he ignored her pleas and turned to her friend and asked "Did you know of this?" She stood still without responding. Alec caught her arm and turned her to face him, "I asked weather you knew about them." He raised his voice and asked again. He noticed her tremble continuously, she shook her head and said in an almost inaudible voice "no".

He let go of her hand with a force, she took few steps back and caught her balance. The Alec with whom she was being playful all this time felt like a different person to her right now and she was terrified of him. By now Harry's face was heavily bruised and he started loosing consciousness. "Please spare him" Elena cried. "What do you people think of me huh, just because I'm being tolerant all this while, you thought you cheat on me with this worthless man." saying this he punched Harry on his stomach. Harry spat blood. "If you think I'll spare any of you after what you've done today, you are being delusional."

"Spare him please. I promise to do as you say, I'll be an obedient wife. I'll never go against you, please spare his life" Elena got on her knees and begged. "A whore like you isn't worthy of being my wife" Alec said pushing her. "Kill him", Alec said coldly. "No" Elena sobbed at the top of her lungs. Alec moved his eyes and saw Elena's friend her eyes were filled with fright. "Please, please Mr. Wilson spare him life please." Elena continued begging holding his leg. While Alec's gaze were fixed on her friend. "Alright" he said and kicked Elena "Stop touching me you whore."

I'll spare his life on one condition", He looked at Elena and said "Arrange a bride of me" she looked at him "There is no way I'll let my wedding go ruined because of your lecherous acts. The wedding will happen as planned, only with a different bride." He caught Elena's chin and said, "Arrange a bride for me before the decided wedding time or be prepared to see this man die." Alec said and started to leave.

When he was near the door he said "Lock him in and take their phones. Robert took Elena's and Harry's phone. He asked Elena's friend for her phone, she looked at Alec. He knew her phone was missing before all this happened. "Let her be" Alec said and left the room.

As Alec was walking towards the lift and his guards were behind him dragging Harry with them, he saw two of his friends coming towards him. They were Ricky and Dwane. They saw Alec's guard dragging a man with them. The guards looked at Alec, he signalled them to leave, they nodded and left. Looking at Alec's darkened face Dwane asked "What's wrong brother?" "I need a drink", Alec replied.

In no time the three friends had gathered at the bar. Alec told them what happened. The vibe felt similar to what had happened four years ago at Dwane's wedding. "Looks like we are cursed with incomplete weddings." Dawne said. "Not me" said Alec, he was sitting with a glass of whisky in his hand exuded a dark and devilish aura. "I will be married today, as planned." "What are you up to, Alec? Ricky asked. "Haven't you asked this question too many times today?" Alec said. "Did you manage to find Miss. Ford?" Alec asked Dwane. Dwane shook his head, "The Fords have done a commendable job in hiding her." he said with a frown.

Meanwhile, Elena couldn't stop her tears. Her friend tried to console her. "We'll get out of here, I'll think of something okay?" "No" Elena shook her head. "I won't go without Harry" "please, please help me", Elena pleaded to her friend. "How?", She replied helplessly. "We don't know where they've locked Harry". Something clicked in her mind and she hurried and got her laptop. She tired for some time and shut the laptop harshly. "Looks like they'll installed network jammers". She got up and glanced outside the window. She saw numerous guards around the hotel premises. "Elena, are you there?" They heard Elizabeth's voice on the other side of the door. "Yes", Elizabeth came in and was shocked to see Elena's state. "What happened Elena? Its time you start getting ready for the wedding."

Said Elizabeth.

At the bar,

"So do you plan to marry any woman she'll arrange for?" Dwane asked Alec. "I've it all planned brother, I'll marry the woman of my liking" saying this Alec smirked and clutched the bracelet in his pocket. Ricky understood what he meant.

Ignoring Elizabeth's words, Elena got on knees in front of her other friend "Please marry Alec." Those words stunned her. "No Elena, you can't ask me of this." She said shaking her legs constantly. "Please, its about somebody's life" "Its the only choice here. Please understand". "Isn't there anybody else?"she asked. "Who will agree marrying a monster like him?, He doesn't want to marry me, Elizabeth is already married, only you can help me" Elena pleaded. "So you want me to Marry that monster?", Her friend asked in an accusing tone, "Why should I pay for your mistakes Elena?" "Blame me, curse me all you want. But we are about somebody's life here, you've always valued life over other things, haven't you?" "Will you be able live peacefully knowing that a person died because you didn't chose to save him?"

Elena caught her leg and begged her repeatedly. Letting out a long breath, she said "FINE". Hearing her agree Elena kept thanking her. "Get out of my room" she said annoyingly. "I want to be alone for sometime" Elena agreed and left with Elizabeth. She again saw outside the window thinking to run away, but somebody's life was at stake. She couldn't ignore it. Her mind was a mess, she looked around the room trying to find her phone, she quit her search when she remembered about the jammers. Feeling completely dejected she slumped into her bed. "I need you here Mark" she said. It was just mid-day but she felt exhausted after the fateful incident, knowing that the rest of day wouldn't be smooth as well, she decided to rest her eyes.
